I don't think that is true. The Bigots and Radical Islamist are just very vocal and good at propaganda. Propaganda is their primary weapon. You point out the atrocities on the other side, they tend to disappear.

Just bring up the thousands of missiles launched by the Iranian funded and armed groups who control the Palestinians now and they ignore it or go away. Bring up the published Charter from Hamas and they change the subject or leave. How can they defend Genocide and the plan to eliminate Jews from the face of the Earth in writing and admitted to by their favorite groups? They cannot, so they don't even try.

My favorite is that Iran has never attacked another country which completely ignores the fact that Iran uses outside groups to do that for them, pays for it and provides the weapons. You gotta love watching how they dance around the facts.

I'm fairly sure it's just a loud small group who probably are on many boards under many names. I'd imagine they have their radar out looking for these threads and any propaganda they can use to further their agenda to get rid of the Jews once and for all.

They fact there there is no difference,is the problem.
Once Israel becomes like the countries they point their fingers at,we have a problem.

They are a country in which the U.S calls its "Ally" and pumps billions of dollars and resources into.
Its also the country thta is going to lead the U.S into a war with Iran.
These actions are bad for any country that commits them,including Israel.

Just to opine a moment, I believe Israel's blustering is just that and if they were going to do something irrational, they likely already would have committed.

I believe (fingers crossed here that I'm right) that the US and the other rational nations have more input into Israeli's world actions than some think.

I also believe as an excellent poker player that I can see a strategy which is working, albeit slowly. Iran is slowly absorbing the reality of their inability to protect their country, let alone attack Israel. They surely can see that it is not in their best interest by any stretch of the imagination to start a conflict which then pits Iran as the bug militarily against the shoe of the world.

The UN is a failed entity, it is riddled with corruption. It's not being run intelligently and will not police it's own.

If I were elected President, I'd withdraw the United States from it and look to form my own version...but with higher standards. I want an agency that will actually work towards the betterment of humanity as a whole and not attempt to tear down 1st world countries.

Israel should have all international aid cut off. They should have sanctions placed against them. They should have air strikes against their installations.

Whats good for the goose right? Perhaps its time we use military force to remove the leaders of Israel.

Yup... and if you checked the International laws in place that vessel is lucky they were not sunk. Read up on how a blockade works, how supplies / shipments to the affected area and the requirements involved, again all UN / International laws.

The aid vessels listed there destination as a port other than Gaza. The moment the vessels made their intent know that it was their destination, Israel was justified under law to warn offr / board those vessels who refused commands to heave to. The boarding of those vessels were also valid under international law, regardless if it was within or outside of Israel territorial waters. The crew, being a designated "aid vessel" en route to a bockaded zone, is required to submit to and be inspected. They are also obligated to divert to a destination establish by Israel so the shipment can be off loaded, searched, and then sent in.

They had absolutely no grounds to resist the Israeli boarding.

Double standard? In what way? Please show us where Israel is required to allow Human rights inspectors into their country?

As far as Irans program they are signatories to a treaty, and as such are required by those treaties to allow inspections. You guys really need to get the facts correct before trying to make a comparison. Constantly rehashing the same comparison after it has been debunked / destroyed time and time again does not make it true.

Iran - signatory to the NPT
Israel - Not a signatory to the treaty.

Iran - foreign intelligence states Iran has a weapons program - result - People dismiss intelligence.
Israel - The people from above accuse Israel of having nukes, yet ignore the fact that info is from intelligence sources.

So long as is directed at Israel, you guys could care less where the info is coming from.

Only the Banks and Israel seem to be exempt from all standards or investigations.

It's really, really hard to support the policies of the Likud party. And it doesn't look good when you can't even CLEAN THINGS UP for inspectors. I think we would find worse things than kids who haven't been to see a doctor in a few years -- like you can find in the USA.

WE have to ask why Israel didn't have to sign human rights treaties --- and while on the subject, why doesn't Israel have to sign Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaties?

Nobody officially, on the record, says Israel has nukes -- but everybody knows, wink, wink, that they do.

Because they are not REQUIRED to have inspections -- they don't have inspections. All is right in the eyes of God and we can keep on with double standards that aren't double standards because the people who make the rules and have veto power in the US say the rules and standards don't apply to Israel. This isn't a double-standard, because, we arbitrarily decided who the rules apply to because, we made the rules.

The UN is corrupt & useless waste of money the world knows it.

I am just as sick of Israels crimes as I am those of other ME countries but what pisses me of more is Americans running around trying to hold people to a standard they wont hold themselves too.
Where is the call for sanctions against the US I mean they fabricate evidence completely ignore this precious UN you seem to care about and ILLEGALY invade other countries killing tell me how many civilians and arguably steal their wealth, face palm much.
America does secrete deals with other countries to allow for people to be kidnapped held with out trial or proof indefinitely and allows government sanctioned torture.
Why is it that America refuses to sign and let their people be held and tried by other countries Americans can't even be tried for war crimes in the Hague because you refuse to allow outsiders to come in and judge over you, yet you demand it of others.
America constantly violates international law, spies on other countries, carries out terrorist acts and even illegally sends it's military into other countries it's not at war with to assasinate people.

When America & Brittan are held accountable for testing nuclear and chemical weapons on their allies (Us Australians), when the PTB in the US are brought to justice or even have to face court for their war crimes, then we can talk about Israel & Iran.
When international inspectors are allowed into America to inspect/spy on all your military facilities without exception so we can see the nasty stuff you have been developing, when they are given access to all your records to see the extend of spying and illegal activities you have been carrying out then we can talk.
I would rather people use white phosphorus rounds on my country than depleted uranium or agent orange so until we decide to hold the world to a set standard without exceptions having a go at Israel or Iran is kind of pointless and just makes the west look like over controling bullies.

For those who would condemn Israel for inviting the United Nations to stay clear out of their business, keep the principle in mind on this. If we are fine for demanding the UN stomp into Israel with or without their permission, then we have nothing to say about this if/when the U.N. forms up a big team of Blue Helmets to descend on the United States, too.

I think it's a little different on Nuclear issues and Israel really needs to grow up a bit on that topic to just admit what they have and take their indexing by world authorities like every other nuclear armed nation does. This isn't nuclear though, this is VERY much internal business and by definition, absolutely NONE of the UN's.

But for the grace of international relations, go we. Lets not root too hard for Israel to be run over by UN authority unless we're each fine with it happening in our nation next.
