A family spokesman says slain Florida teenager Trayvon Martin was suspended from school last month for having a baggie that contained marijuana residue in his book bag.

Trayvon, 17, was suspended by Miami-Dade County schools because traces of marijuana were found in a plastic baggie in his book bag, family spokesman Ryan Julison said.

While Zimmerman’s attorney started defending his client publicly, Zimmerman himself remains nowhere to be seen or heard--except for the message he left on his neighbor’s telephone answering machine revealed on NBC’s Dateline.

Look around. There is a picture of an older teen, that is HIM, in good shape. The kid played football, too. Scrawny kids don't do that. Take an honest look at the pictures.

Not bloodied, BROKE. the ONLY injuries to Martin were the gunshot and abrasions to his knuckles from striking Martin. Zimmerman shot to prevent his head from being MORE split open, thus possibly killing him.

As for the guy that worked on the law, he's playing politics, pretending to know facts he doesn't, and acting as though he's more informed than the police, that state Zimmerman WAS within the law.

This is an example of the twisted logic the MSM has been using to ramp up racial tensions in this country.

It is an election year, so racial crime (especially white on black) would be advantageous to their agenda to secure the black vote. After all, most people don't vote on the issues or for the best candidate, they vote with their emotions and their wallet!

So few here refuse to look at the evidence. I'm not saying what Zimmerman did was right. However, evidence from eyewitnesses states that Martin was not as innocent as you would make him out to be. You guys keep regurgitating the same things, even when proof is presented contrary to your "facts". And, ever funnier, is how a few of you slap each other with stars on your posts as if that makes what you say more correct.

Put aside your hate and bigotry for one second and look, really look, at the facts. Two wrongs don't make a right and, in this case, two wrongs ended up with someone dead. Sad.

if he's guilty:
- he's either judged and proven guilty
- or black people do it their own way and someone kills him for killing his hoodie
if he's innocent:
- judged, proven innocent
- or killed in revenge
both options happening silently, without all that fuss

what's actually happening?
- he says he's innocent
- many people, even black, say he's innocent
- police says he's innocent
- witness says he's innocent
- media paint him as a racist killer
- new black panthers - people that should be all in jail and are not, because they're protected by those in power - issue a bounty to get him killed
- because of mass media lies there are protests and racial tension arises

i know it was said already, but i guess we'll have to kick that dead horse over and over again to make some fools understand: DIVIDE AND CONQUER. that's the game the government plays with you, using mass media and people like new black panthers. do you seriously think new black panthers would be free to say what they say without getting jailed if those in power wouldn't approve it? if it wouldn't play well for them?

you wanna know what will happen? here's the most probable scenario:
- zimmerman gets judged and is proven innocent, thanks to the witness
- there's a public outcry amongst black people that 'innocent kid' was 'murdered' and 'racist killer' isn't put in jail
- thanks to new black panthers, zimmerman gets killed before he gets a chance to go to the airport
- there's a public outcry - but now amongst white people - that zimmerman was murdered on racist grounds, and at this point those in power get what they wanted - black people see white people like new black panthers and media painted zimmerman, while white people see black people like they see new black panthers
- new protests arise, turning into violent clashes between black and white people
- city after city turns into chaos
- solution: martial law?

think about it, who will gain what from all this BS, especially if he's really proven innocent? seriously, let's hope he gets fbi protection for as long as he's in the states, otherwise it may end up really bad.

of course, i may be all wrong and it turns out to be nothing, but for me it all smells badly. media don't blow anything out of proportion without a reason being someone's agenda and new black panthers aren't free for no reason either.

With your amazing ability to view incidents from a great distance and read the minds of others, you should be posting in "Predictions and Prophecies." Why are you so obsessed about the racial angle in this case? It's really about the wisdom of allowing private citizens to act as though they were cops. Zimmerman is an example of what happens when you let a hot-head carry a gun and act like Batman. He should consider himself lucky if he just gets committed, rather than the death penalty.

Actually some police that were there have said they thought he should have been arrested that night, of course he says he's innocent, the witness didn't say he's innocent they only said what they saw and they only saw half the story.

He is in no way innocent. He is actually one hundred percent guilty the question was never if he was innocent it was if he was justified.

The fact is he may have very well put the kid in a stand your ground position before the kid put him in one. So in that case who is wrong. Even if the tables turned on him, the kid had the right to defend himself with force first due to Zimmermans actions. Unless you fools think Zimmerman got out of the car with his gun and then turned his back on a suspicious character. Why did he get out of his car.

Tell me this. He got out of his car close enough to the kid that the kid could get to him before he got back in? So he was returning from what? Talking to the kid? Guys get real. The kid didn't jump him Zimmerman most likely tried to detain a kid he admitted he thought was getting away that he showed actual resentment and hatred towards.

he was monitoring his neighbourhood. as someone said, what would you want such person to do, nothing? watch people from the distance and not follow them when they look suspicious?
when he told the police that he's following him, he was told that he does not need to do this. NOT that he CANNOT do this, because he COULD.
act like a batman? he was returning to his car when he got attacked, he was protecting his own life. he tried to call the police, in return he got his head smashed on the ground.
