It was such a simple occurrence--anyone could have missed it.
It is pretty obvious that many have, as one poster recently put it in another thread, been feeling 'a disturbance in the force'. I am very curious
though now if many others have noticed incongruities like the one I am about to share.
It is so innocent and simple really. It all started with a fruit bowl. On Monday I had the day off from work. Husband had left for work at least an
hour ago already and as I was getting breakfast together I spied the tempting fruit bowl that he had bought the day before. I decided not to dig in
though because I didn't know if he had a specific plan for it. At lunch when I opened the fridge I considered it again--it looked so colorful and
delicious
And then again while I was planning dinner, the container of fruit sat there in the fridge calling out to me.
Less than an hour later my husband was home from work and I had decided that a dinner of bacon cheeseburgers (with all the fixin's--yum), baked beans
and the fruit for dessert sounded delish.
(H)ubby: "So, what was your idea for dinner?", which is pretty much what he asks every evening.
(M)e: "I was thinking hamburgers"
H: "Sounds good to me. I'm pretty veggied-out today."
M: "Or really, you ate a lot of vegetables today?"
H: "Well, yea at lunch plus I had a lot of fruit for breakfast. I grabbed that fruitbowl this morning."
...huh?
I opened the fridge...and stared at the empty space that had previously contained the weirdly-all-day-alluring bowl of fruit. I stood there for a few
seconds, thinking, and asked, "had you at some point this morning considered NOT taking the fruit with you this morning?".
H: "Yea, but I had decided that I needed something for breakfast."
I then told him that I had been staring at that thing ALL DAY LONG and now he tells me he took it hours ago and it suddenly disappears from my sight?
He smiled, understanding my bafflement.
Then last night (and this is just a quick random add to my thread that isn't specifically related) he out of the blue and as a joke asked me to read
his mind.
"You KNOW we are connected", he says, "just try and focus on what I'm sending you." I know we are just playing (we have never done anything like
this before though) but I focus anyway. I imagine that I can FEEL an energy radiating from him. It feels quite strong but my own head is so noisy I
start to feel foolish.
H: "Come on, just guess!"
M: "I dunno all I see is stupid stuff"
H: "What do you see?"
M: *sigh* "a packet of M&Ms...the candy bowl"
He smiles satisfactorily. "Close, I was thinking about the Twix bars in the candy bowl."
