I witnessed a glitch in the Matrix

It was such a simple occurrence--anyone could have missed it.

It is pretty obvious that many have, as one poster recently put it in another thread, been feeling 'a disturbance in the force'. I am very curious though now if many others have noticed incongruities like the one I am about to share.

It is so innocent and simple really. It all started with a fruit bowl. On Monday I had the day off from work. Husband had left for work at least an hour ago already and as I was getting breakfast together I spied the tempting fruit bowl that he had bought the day before. I decided not to dig in though because I didn't know if he had a specific plan for it. At lunch when I opened the fridge I considered it again--it looked so colorful and delicious
And then again while I was planning dinner, the container of fruit sat there in the fridge calling out to me.

Less than an hour later my husband was home from work and I had decided that a dinner of bacon cheeseburgers (with all the fixin's--yum), baked beans and the fruit for dessert sounded delish.

(H)ubby: "So, what was your idea for dinner?", which is pretty much what he asks every evening.
(M)e: "I was thinking hamburgers"
H: "Sounds good to me. I'm pretty veggied-out today."
M: "Or really, you ate a lot of vegetables today?"
H: "Well, yea at lunch plus I had a lot of fruit for breakfast. I grabbed that fruitbowl this morning."

...huh?

I opened the fridge...and stared at the empty space that had previously contained the weirdly-all-day-alluring bowl of fruit. I stood there for a few seconds, thinking, and asked, "had you at some point this morning considered NOT taking the fruit with you this morning?".

H: "Yea, but I had decided that I needed something for breakfast."

I then told him that I had been staring at that thing ALL DAY LONG and now he tells me he took it hours ago and it suddenly disappears from my sight? He smiled, understanding my bafflement.

Then last night (and this is just a quick random add to my thread that isn't specifically related) he out of the blue and as a joke asked me to read his mind.
"You KNOW we are connected", he says, "just try and focus on what I'm sending you." I know we are just playing (we have never done anything like this before though) but I focus anyway. I imagine that I can FEEL an energy radiating from him. It feels quite strong but my own head is so noisy I start to feel foolish.
H: "Come on, just guess!"
M: "I dunno all I see is stupid stuff"
H: "What do you see?"
M: *sigh* "a packet of M&Ms...the candy bowl"
He smiles satisfactorily. "Close, I was thinking about the Twix bars in the candy bowl."

My wife and I are the best examples of "opposites attract" that you could ever find, but it seems as though we come up with the exact same thoughts and ideas.

I don't know what happened with the fruit bowl, but I believe we are all connected....even more so with our mates. That connection is deep and subconscious.

So I don't think it's a glitch in the matrix.....that's just how it should be.

No kidding. I'm a realist.

However, my wife has for sure heard my thoughts before. She'll answer my questions sometimes without me saying them.

I've told her. She shrugs it off.

Very significant! Dimension shifting, I did it once along time ago and it was to a very bad situation.

I still to this day believe that Australia was isolated and didn't have Papua New Guinea next to it.

Yours was innocent enough though

wow i got chills.... I believe every word you say, only bc Iv had a similar happing to me about 3 or 4 weeks ago... Im a chef and in my kitchen I had a rack lamb that i physically touched and put onto my cutting board (i was going to run a nice special for that night ... I left the kitchen for about an hour to do bar inventory(get that outta the way so i could put 100% of my mind on prepping and the night specs. So i come back to my cutting board and the rack is gone, not only the meat is gone but there is no sign of blood from the rack sitting on my cutting board. I called my other chef that lives about 5 mins away and asked if he stop by while i was doing inventory and took my lamb. Well needless to say he was 30 mins away going into Baltimore arguing that we had sold out of alll of our lamb less than a week before that day..... true story i put my life on it...

This sounds a lot like an experience I KNOW I read about on ATS a while back. Even down to the candy bowl reference. But in that thread, the candy being eaten / not eaten was the point of the supposed "glitch."

I searched for it but can't find it. Did you ever post about this before? This is gonna bug me all day now...

I believe you. This has been happening with me alot lately only with little mostly unimportant things. Just last night I was planting in my garden and went to grab a seed packet of carrots, the same packet I have been looking at in the box for weeks and it wasn't there. I looked all over thinking I misplaced it. After not finding it I looked at the order and there were no carrot seeds on it. I even went back and looked at the web order. I could just be losing my mind though. Strange times we live in.

Also on a simaler but possibly unrelated note. I have also been having a hard time distinguishing dream from reality. I just keep dreaming about normal mundayne stuff but it feels so real. Sometimes it's really confusing.

Hi AwakenHybrid, nice thread. I starred and flagged it for you.

I've had matrix glitches often. So has my husband.

Once I had went of to the store to go grocery shopping and a small child and mother were leaving. There groceries were bagged and they were leaving. I noticed because we almost collided with one another. So I got a good look at one her and the boy because we both apologized to one another and met each others eyes. I went up the isle and not five second later, with a cart half cart full of un-bagged groceries there she was!

She turned to me and spoke to me, asking me the location of the bathroom in the store. Which I didn't know the answer to at the time, as I was new to the area. It was a strange experience.

I've had a similar experience with a cat that I had. She is dead now, but lived a long happy life. Anyhow, I let my cats go outside. In an out as we go in and out. Once I let my cat Peekachu out and immediately turned around and went into the kitchen and there she was, eating out of the kitty bowl. There are no unknown ways to get into the house. Of this, I am sure of.

When I experienced missing time - I had tons of inconsistencies related to that event. I won't go into detail here, as eventually, I plan to create a thread of the experience. Suffice it to say, I've had tons of glitches in the matrix we call human consciousness!

That is weird. When I read your reply about Australia I got this feeling like I knew exactly what discrepancy you were referring to--as though it was something I too had seriously questioned some time in my past.
It reminds me of one the first threads I read here about alternate timelines where a poster had mentioned that the beginning of the movie "The Goonies" was different now that it was when they were younger. I too would attest to that exact example if not for the possibility of there just simply being an alternate beginning that was released later on.
I have to be careful though because that happens to me SO often that it almost seems as though my brain is willing to insert itself into anyone's story and thereby 'remember' it.

No, this is my very first thread. I only just discovered this site a couple weeks ago. Very interesting though. As of right now you are that thread's only witness--especially if it no longer exists. I am that fruit bowls only witness and I KNOW what I saw all day on Monday. Had I decided to even touch it no one would be the wiser for the discrepancy (unless my husband had come home and STILL have claimed to have taken the whole thing to work with him).
There are no coincidences though. IMHO I feel that I was MEANT to notice.

Last night I was hanging out here in the forum, and was on a thread's 79th (last, so far) page. I posted, but my screen froze, I think cuz of these ads. This happens (annoyingly) a lot. I 'refreshed' and for one second, it showed I was on the -- 80somethingish -- page. Of that thread. When the refresh finished though, I was back still on the 70something last page.
I had thought of mentioning this, but what would anyone be able to do, much less think of that? I figured maybe it was some technieglitchie thing about this website forum. But how and why.

I love those glitches.

Often times when I am walking, especially now (in the Spring), I will see flowers in full bloom only to blink and realize they are still just poking their heads out of the ground.

I have permanent tracers in my vision as well as pixels from every colour of the spectrum (a youth of well spent misconduct :lol
and I often see what things will look like in minutes, days, weeks from now - rotting fruit, flowers in bloom, etc.

I used to be afraid of it - now I welcome it.

I've had occurrences like that all my life. Here's one of many. This one kind of freaked me out abit. Many years ago, I remember because I had just seen The Hitcher. I had heard on the radio that Rutger Hauer had died for whatever reason. I thought it was sad because loved the movie. I know weird kid, right. I loved C.H.U.D. too....well anyway, I digress. Then I see a commercial of an upcoming movie. Blind Furry staring none other than Rutger Hauer. Now I was confused. I asked a couple of friends and they never heard of him dying.

Things have diffidently been getting interesting lately. There has been tons of synchronicity these past few months that have only seemed to connect (and heal) the dots of my traumas of these last few years. It is so much information it doesn't seem possible to lay a finger on it all, but at the same time every dot seems to connect and the whole of it feels so obvious to some deeper part of me. Take the state of the U.S. this last 15 or so years and you pretty much get the personal embodiment of it in me. Not that there is anything special about me...I would sooner believe that we ALL have that uncanny connection.

Anyway, as far as my husband playing a trick on me goes I can pretty much attest to his non-involvement. He is probably more perceptive than I give him credit for, but I see no reason for him to even consider this. I don't talk to him about all this spirituality/synchronicity/conspiracy stuff. That is why that mind-reading game was so unexpected. His understanding of my story was from a scientific point of view but nonetheless, when I brought it up the next day he laughed and said it was my imagination. It all means nothing unless he could call my fixation on the fruit bowl ahead of time.
I can see that he too feels something is up. He just ignores it more easily (or purposely?) than I do I guess.

Wow. I have never heard of that before. What are these 'tracers' you speak of? Are you saying your eyes see more of the spectrum than most?
What makes you sure you are seeing the future of THAT particular flower or fruit as opposed to the very obvious futures of material like that? It certainly isn't hard to imagine a future for most things around you. I dunno maybe I'm taking your examples too literally and you only chose them as purely that: one example of your sight.
Wouldn't the typical future of a fruit be digesting in someones lower intestine?

I thought I experienced in a glitch in the matrix when I tried to find a thread that was started yesterday. I remembered it being about a guy (obviously!) describing his one night stand and thought the woman could have been an alien (as in E.T.). It was hysterical and I looked forward to reading comments from other members.

I looked and looked and couldn't find it. It got to the point where I thought I was imagining it. I knew it had to be in either the Grey area or possibly Aliens and UFO's. Nope, couldn't find it. Then I remembered the member who started the thread and went to his profile to find it. It wasn't there! Now, I'm starting to really wonder if I'm losing it!

Finally after a half hour or more searching for an explanation I took a chance that I confirm I wasn't imaging it by checking my viewing history. Yes! I find the title. It was real! When I clicked on the link it came up 404. Phew!

I have to admit that I was seriously considering I had dreamt it or blamed it on a glitch in the matrix. Very freaky feeling!

Yes, I would say you saw a glitch alright. We have been having things disappear around here too, a couple of days ago, we bought a gallon of milk. My wife got up near Midnight, everyone else in bed asleep, and open the milk and drank a small glass. I got up at 7:75 am, fixed myself a bowel of cereal, and no milk. Even the jug, which we keep them for gathering water from the Spring, had disappeared completely. There have been other things, but I think this is happening a lot of late.
