I have been sent to 2 different threads

the ones they send me to. Okay I suppose
this is the one to stick with. I did read
damage reports are coming in - anyone
know more about that?

So does this give credibility to the 188 day cycle theory? It is pretty spot on for this quake if you ask me. I know some are going to say it happened in a hot spot which is true, but it's hard to deny the accuracy.

And you forgot that I actually KNOW how often earthquakes above 7.0 happen in the world.
Those quakes happen once per month, at best. Sometimes, it takes almost 2 months for one above 7.0 to hit somewhere.
Lol, I didn't "forget", you didn't bother to include that in your example.
Regardless, ok...I give up. Major quakes (is it 7.0 or did you settle on 7.5? Does it really matter?) happen at 188 day intervals--as well as at other times.
Great. And from that we can conclude.....
....absolutely nothing.

This being the 187th days sounds
close enough to me.

This 188 day thing that people dispute, like," See it doesn't apply,
it was 186 or 187 days so it's not a pattern" . I doubt the earth
follows a calendar to a tee. Whether it's 186 or 188 or 190 days
between major quakes maybe it is a pattern.
It was actually 187 MAYBE 188, but definitely not the 186th.

Why is it hard? Considering today is only the 187th day....

If you want to scrutinize a theory that is off by a few hours be my guest. I am going to be paying closer attention to this to see how the next one plays out.

Enough.
It's time for some critical thinking up in here. Allow me to do it for you:
Earthquake Recent History
Those of you desperately trying to find meaning in the mundane, perhaps you could be so kind as to actually do some research before you start quivering in your boots.
That's right, folks. Earthquakes happen damn near every day. If you only look for them every 188 days, you'll find a pattern.
Duh.
