Uh, thanks for proving my point?

Here let me show you the parts you forgot to mention.

Matthew 7:7
Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

If you're going to quote mine to discredit me, it's helpful if you include ALL the passages the talk about prayer, not the ones that suit your agenda.

Jesus makes it clear: if you ask for something in prayer, you will receive it, period.

The answer to that was it also has to be god's will, lol. So, if you ask for something and agree with other people on the matter, it still has to be god's will for it to happen, hahahahahahah. In other words, if it doesn't happen, guess what? It wasn't god's will, bwa hahahahahahaha. Cop out.

My question on that matter still hasn't been answered. If it's god's will for someone to be healed, but no one is praying for it, will he heal that person anyway? If god's will is always accomplished, why even pray? He will do what he wants anyway.

Well, I'm glad you know exactly what I was saying. I never have a clue obviously. Heck, I even clarified to you a few times that I wasn't insulting you, but I was complimenting you for being strong.

What the Hell does continuously telling me I am a strong woman have to do with this thread/subject.

Is that what you tell women to appease them - - then dismiss any actually thought/viewpoint - - - they put forth?

You are not complimenting - - you are insulting.

Is that right? Well, you don't know what you're missing. Not much to be honest...so now you know.

I think this is a good topic because anger is a Christian's biggest enemy. I can be formulating good decisions and learning, then someone interupts me and shows no concern, then I am angered. I know that as a Christian you are hear to serve, but it gets hard when people interupt you and press your buttons. I still haven't heard anything answers and I won't because all of us get frustrated when ignorant people take advantage of our emotions and do it because they are 'showing' us they don't care.

I'd like to by-pass all the bickering that has been going on for 12 pages are return to the original post.

That video is wrong. Mithra wasn't 'born of a virgin'. He was 'born of a rock'. Now I suppose you could say that the rock was a virgin, but...then....well, I'd be afraid about what sort of things you stick your members into.

And before atheists try to claim the moral high-ground with regards to social behaviour or antagonistic statements, they should take a look at the balloons in the video (where the profanity happens to violate the T&Cs, by the way), and the comments posted at that video.

Now then 1st on the subject of Mithra we could both bring up websites claiming either way.
2nd Like another person who rings the show (later vid) you are bothered about a few swear words? please complain and get the thread shut down if you like, a swear word? are you from 1902 or something?
Face it you didn't agree with the video and so you pick holes in it to do with a few swear words.

If we are following the T&C to the letter I could complain about all the posts Threatening me with hell, they are threats and against the T&C.

Actually websites have nothing to do with it. Ever heard of the expression "born of stone"? It specifically applies to Mithra.

And yeah, swearwords matter. I've had an entire thread closed down because a link I provided in the OP had an f-bomb or two.

PS: I'm not christian.

And I am not taking the "high ground" by presenting something from a Science/Secular site. It just made the most sense to me.

Here is one explanation (and as we all know "virgin" means young woman).

Mithra’s “Virgin” Birth?

As concerns the debate regarding the Perso-Roman god Mithra’s “virgin birth,” not a few scholars and writers of Persian/Iranian extract have discussed the Persian goddess of love Anahita as Mithra’s virgin mother. Presumably, these individuals know more about their ancient traditions than do modern Christian apologists, who emphasize Mithra’s rock birth and deny the virgin-mother motif. For example, Dr. Badi Badiozamani says that a “person” named “Mehr” or Mithra was “born of a virgin named Nahid Anahita (“immaculate”) and that “the worship of Mithra and Anahita, the virgin mother of Mithra, was well-known in the Achaemenian period [558-330 BCE] www.project-reason.org...
