Sarah will probably do the same.

I don't see how Obama has any incentive to debate Palin. She's got nothing to lose. Even if she screws up it will be ignored by her followers. Obama has one mistake and it'll be blown out of proportion by those same people. All one has to do is look at this thread to see that very thing. So why would he do it?

Obama is tanking in the polls. A New York Times poll shows his approval at only 41%.

He needs a villain and he needs Sarah Palin now.

If he loses the debate then he just heads to the golf course.

That's wishful thinking. I've seen her, my son could debate her into the floor. That said, he learned from the best. The first thing about debate is to not lie to yourself. That's a killer. You can't see options.

Most polls showed that Biden won the debate. One small focus group on Fox News by Frank Luntz said Palin won.

It was a New York Times poll. That's not exactly a Republican newspaper.

And I do hereby honor ATS and announce my challenge to debate Palin. Any Palin, any time, any place (I prefer a hot tub), any topic. I await her acceptance.

I suspect she desperately wants the Republican nod (now that the debates are over) and is grandstanding by CLAIMING she is willing to debate Obama which no Republican candidate has so stated.

I think she is feisty! That's kind of a compliment, but I still voted for Obama.
