I would guess he is just trying to play it up for his crowd I guess. It is what he is good at, I am sure a lot of his supporters would cheer him on blindly. I think it's a distraction, and likely one that would work too, sadly.

I wish she would debate him. Obama is a trained lawyer. Debate is his specialty.

He would run over her like a lawnmower. Maybe the humiliation would be enough to finally shut her up and put an end to her "I'm not campaigning" campaign.

I really don't know why the Republican party let her out, does she not think before she says anything?

Let's hear what Sarah has to say about Obama's recent attack. I expect the jokes about her son, Trig, to start surfacing soon as well.

Exhibit A in these diversionary tactics is an absurd new attack ad President Obama has released taking my comments out of context. I’m not running for any office, but I’m more than happy to accept the dubious honor of being Barack Obama’s “enemy of the week” if that includes the opportunity to debate him on the issues Americans are actually concerned about. (Remember when I said you don’t need a title to make a difference?)

Just off the top of my head, a few of these concerning issues include: a debt crisis that has us hurtling towards a Greek-style collapse, entitlement programs going bankrupt, a credit downgrade for the first time in our history, a government takeover of the health care industry that makes care more expensive and puts a rationing panel of faceless bureaucrats between you and your doctor (aka a “death panel”), $4 and $5 gas at the pump exacerbated by an anti-drilling agenda that rejects good paying energy sector jobs and makes us more dependent on dangerous foreign regimes, a war in Afghanistan that seems unfocused and unending, a global presidential apology tour that’s made us look feeble and ridiculous, a housing market in the tank, the longest streak of high unemployment since World War II, private-sector job creators and industry strangled by burdensome regulations and an out-of-control Obama EPA, an attack on the Constitutional protection of religious liberty, an attack on private industry in right-to-work states, crony capitalism run amok in an administration in bed with their favored cronies to the detriment of genuine free market capitalism, green energy pay-to-play kickbacks to Obama campaign donors, and a Justice Department still stonewalling on a bungled operation that armed violent Mexican drug lords and led to the deaths of hundreds of innocent people.

Any distraction is a good distraction for Obama. Therefore, he should accept Palin's challenge.

Sara Palin has had more time in an elected office than Berry. Political Office: Governor of Alaska, 2006-2009; Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, 1996-2002; Wasilla City Council, 1992-1996.
She also took on Big Oil and corruption within her own Party.
No, Berry will not debate her because he knows he'll get his butt handed back to him on a Campaign Plat. What he will do is continue to use ad hominem attacks and out right lies, in a feeble attempt to distract people from the truth.

She's a former 1/2 term gov. He's POTUS. There is no way a POTUS would do that .. unless he was mega stupid. (come to think of it, considering what has been going on in the Oval Office all these years, could very well be). I'm sure he won't do it. He doesn't have to. She's looking for attention to continue her schtick.

That being said .. Obama and Palin are exactly alike, but at opposite ends of the political scale. The only difference, he managed to bamboozle enough to get into the White House. She did not. Other than that they are mirror images of each other. (From the severe lack of experience necessary to be POTUS as well as the kooky churches they went to down to the ineptitude.)

Because she is dumb enough to be an easy target and it clearly demonstrates the racial resentment from the right.

She does it to play to the racists in the republican party...and Obama is using it to highlight her ugly tactics.

It's so easy for her to talk smack when she knows full well Obama would never accept her challenge as it would be beneath his office. She's the worse kind of Mean Girl. When is her fifteen minutes up?

It think we all know Palin can not be let to talk without a script. Anytime she goes off script it becomes a mess. I kind of feel sorry for her. When she was tapped for VP she was completely unaware of anything beyond small time Alaska politics. She ended up ruining Mcain and becoming a national joke. Sure she makes money off a small loyal following but to most people she is laughed at. She ran from office and kept saying stupid things so that to most of America she is now a female Rushlimbaugh. We all saw her last debate, Obama would eat he alive. Of course she can make that challenge because Obama would be an idiot to raise her up to his level and give her any credibility.
