I have heard the 911 calls, the evidence that this man committed murder is there. No jury would let him walk after hearing the 911 calls.
Then there is also the testimony from the friend who's phone records shows she was on the phone with him minutes before his death stating he ran from Zimmerman. I honestly can't believe any one would think he was innocent.

I don't believe he is innocent. my problem is that he is being labeled as white or hispanic when it is clear he is neither.

This tragic event is going to turn into a circus.

The left will use it to further their gun control agenda.
The left will use this to further their race-based agenda.

Sharpton, and Holder are already making plans.

When all it was, was a series of separate incidents that resulted in the death of a person.

When people use tragedies like this to pursue their own agendas with little or no thought to the impact on both families, I tend to get nauseated.

I haven't read the whole thread yet.

Several officers (in another state) I work with and myself were talking about this tonight. It boils down to this, when Zimmerman begin to chase the kid he gave up any right to claim self defense. He actively pursued and escalated the situation. He could have followed at a distance and updated 9-1-1 if he felt that Treyvon was going to get away with a crime. Once he decided to actively pursue someone with no evidence of a crime he became the instigator.

Zimmerman should have his rear in a cell right now.

umm He was following the kid which really kind of thwarts the self defense bit and leads to premeditation.

It doesn't really lead to premeditation. It is complicated and deep and murky. Chances are second degree murder is the highest charge he will see. Involuntary manslaughter is most likely.

Meth heads that tried to beat me with a tire iron and rob me were white.

People that tried a home invasion on my 83 year old neighbor were white.

Guy that tried to rob me with a knife at 3pm in a shopping center parking lot was white.

The guy that threatened to shiv me at the gas station because I refused to give him a ride was white.

The one thing that protected life and limb every time was my right to keep and bear arms.

How about we squash the secondary bull and talk about the subject at hand.

If Mr Zim were legally where he was and can articulate a fear for his life, under current law he acted legally ....hence his non arrest...all the rest is white noise by the various camps trying to further their own agenda

Whatever else he was doing,he was
Legally at that place and time.He was legally armed. He says(apparently pretty convincingly)he was afraid for his life.Hes not in jail because the law says he has met the standard for killing the opponent.Change the law if you don't agree.

well odds would be that the police would also go in and arrest every black suspected person for the shooting of said white person ...and then they would definitely find a blackman to hang a death sentence on so all would be well in the world again.

This incident alone doesn't necessarily lead to premeditation. But once you stop and factor in his previous 911 calls and statements from people around him it becomes conceivable. You could make the argument that while he wasn't actively looking to murder this specific person, he was actively searching for a black person to kill. It is clear from the 911 call he made that he wasn't satisfied with the police being on their way and decided that this child guilty or not was not going to get away from him. I must say the police department here really did drop the ball on this from the get go, and have since tried to downplay it.

He had no reason or cause to be there from the get go. The minute he made the 911 call he made. it was an admission that the situation was more than he could handle. He was not an officer of the law, he had no authority to harass, detain or otherwise bother anyone. It was none of his business what some random person on the sidewalk was doing.

For all we know Zimmerman was friends with the officer(s) doing the investigation. My understanding is one of the officers who responded has already been in hot water for not arresting a fellow officer's son after he beat a black homeless man to death. I'll share the link tomorrow when I am front of a computer unless someone else can find it.

You are saying he had no legal reason to be on a sidewalk kn an area where he lived?thats the standard here, not what he was doing....he was legally standing on the sidewalk, legally armed and afraid.... That's the show...he had no duty to retreat Like I said once that is established under current law,he can go home....sorry

Look people are upset that somebody killed somebody and didn't even get booked ...I get that...but under current Fla law,he met the standard for NOT being charged...it is what it is

What exactly is that agenda?

Is it Wayne LaPierre bizarre theory that Obama has not pushed for any new gun control legislation only because he wants to lull the American people to sleep? Then only if he gets re-elected, and only then, he will do away with the 2'nd amendment. I have heard of many crazy things in my years but this one has to be at the top of the list.

It is sad that there are people who actually believe in this nonsense.

Let's wait on this one and see if someone starts talking controls or stricter laws in the upcoming weeks before we put that rumor to rest

Call it whatever you want, but Eric (Fast & Furious) Holder's DOJ is heading to Florida to pursue this issue.

And if you don't think the left will use this, then I have a bridge I'm selling. . . . .

And then there is that video of Mr Holder talking brainwashing people into hating guns...kinda makes you wonder

And it's always been the left/dims/libs that have always talked "common sense gun laws" so there is a basis for that paranoia....if they would shut up about guns then maybe....well

We do not know if Zimmerman legally could carry a gun, he had legal trouble in the past. Florida's law is fight force with force not use deadly force against an unarmed person.

I do agree that this incident may spark anti-gun sentiment. Guns don't kill people, someone has to pull the trigger. If Zimmerman was armed with an asp instead he still would have caused an incident.
