Wiccans often will meet in a secret place, late at night, to cast a Sacred Circle and do Honor to the Great Mother. Nothing wrong with that, Wiccans are protected by the Constitution, and Free Speech applies. You have not thing one to fear. The only reasons people fear us is because they either do not understand us, or are taught to fear us. We are many, and we Vote.

Why? well as someone pointed out a moonlight ceremony for one. And nexus locations for energies. They usually build lodges as close as they can to these locations but sometimes they cant get close enough and do midnight rituals in some places.

Well, to be fair, Wiccan or not, someone shouldn't be breaking park regulated rules as most parks have hours of operation. I think the person who opened this thread was looking more for an explaination of what he saw, rather than fearing or being bothered by Wiccans.

I am unfamiliar with this so I'd love to hear more about this, ty for sharing.

I have a friend that lives in the Sedona area and runs a fitness bootcamp at her local park. 2:30 am seems a wee bit early for that. I highly doubt they are a secret society either.

That, is incredible and so close to home.

Honestly this sounds like a group of Neopagans (or members of the Wannabe sect ), perhaps some "Satanists" (not really but playing at it). Many neopagans do ritual at night, at funny hours, so chances are it was that. I am a neopagan (a Neopagan Druid) who's not concerned with what time it is (usually), so day time or night time. Our rituals are public. However Wiccans (Neopagan Witches) tend to be secretive, and exclude outsiders... so that is my best bet.

What date was this?
