There are limits to free speech. No one has a right to say just anything.

He can say anything he wants, he can also pay the price for it.

Libel and Slander
Was the statement false, or put in a context that makes true statements misleading? You do not have a constitutional right to tell lies that damage or defame the reputation of a person or organization.

You're arguing from the standpoint of your own personal experiences, so I'll do the same.

You should give that money back because there was no argument in that post at all. What there was was questions. I am questioning a claim from you that seemed rather empty. Your response should have been to answer that question and back that claim. Whatever argument you are reading, you are imagining.

Do you not have the answer to my question?

When I went to college, I went on a FULL BLOWN scholarship. Why? Because if I had to pay for it, there would have been no way in hell I could have gone. I came from a single parent home. In fact, my Dad drove me an hour and a half away to my university, dropped me off with $50 and said "good luck", then drove off. That $50 had to buy all my books and feed me for the next month. I had no vehicle. Some classes were completely WITHOUT books or by sharing with other members in my class. Sadly, we were considered lower middle class, so don't talk to me about how bad it is/was for you. I've been there, and I know. I would have to decide what meal of the day I was going to have...a PB&J sandwich or a package of Ramen Noodles, and I would space it out so I wouldn't go to bed hungry. SOMEHOW, through ALL of that, I managed to be responsible with my sexual encounters, and every single one of them involved a condom. In fact, the couple of "love interests" I had in college, involved a few "no's" at the worst possible time, because we had nothing with us to ensure a responsible encounter...so we got creative. Duh.
I didn't walk around campus with a picket sign, pissed off because my weekend sexual escapades were ruined because the government didn't provide me with free birth control.

That is really just super.
I asked a simple question, made no argument, and you failed to handle that.

And the really sad part of this video is....polycystic fibrosis and endometriosis have BOTH been linked to birth control pills, as well as the higher increases of infertility in women who have been on birth control their whole lives.

You have any evidence to back that up?

Are you a doctor, are you subscribing that women shouldn't be treated for those conditions?

Dead air during commercial breaks and hot air the rest of the time. Seems appropriate, and somewhat ironic.

That is my opinion and I'm stickin' to it.

Ouch, 'cause there is nothing quite like two minutes of dead air to attract listeners?

"You don't have to think for yourself kiddies. Let you uncle Rush do your thinking for you."

It appears that ATS enjoys an abundance of 'kiddies'.

Love it!

My husband's uncle is a "Dittohead".

You don't have a conversation with him. You exchange Rush "talking points".

Wow dead air is the #1 no-no for radio. The fact that he was not on top of that, or his people, is a sign they don't know what their doing. If I were in that position, I would have pre-taped fake commercials for my own website or whatever, sheesh... doesn't this guy have his own tea brand, plug that, I'm sure he has plenty of products to fill it with.

I feel he was mostly motivated to 'apologize' because of these $ponsors. I used to like Rush, pre-1994, but when I heard him call Kurt Cobain a waste of space (for being a drug addict), shortly after his body was found, I knew I didn't like Rush. Then he later only makes his statement hypocritical by becoming a drug addict himself.

If Limbaugh loses his radio show...he will have the same amount of free speech i have.

When you are a public figure.....you have free speech....but you are not free of the consequences of that speech. Limbaugh can continue his hate filled rhetoric as much as he likes.....even without a radio show.

So please...enough of the free speech stuff.

That cartoon is a fair argument.
However on the other side of the coin, we might want to realize that the societal cost is greater for not providing birth control for low income individuals. I know the same ones of you that are against this kind of support are also against welfare. Well let me tell you, welfare is a LOT more expensive.

Think about it.

There are Planned Parenthood locations right there in Washington DC.

Just pick up the phone and call them.

Sandra Fluke was just the latest victim trotted out by the White House.

I am surprised and amazed that limbaugh and that guy on TV with the white hair and the marshmallow face and his chalkboard (forgot his name) are not seen as anything other than satirists

erectile dysfunction is considered a legitimate medical condition.

.........which Limbaugh seems to be suffering from.

That guy seems to have a lot of issues that he projects into his show. I wonder if he even realizes that when people laugh at what he says......they're really laughing at him.

Actually, Rush himself claims to have 20 MILLION listeners PER DAY.

And I agree- there's no way that's even close to true.

And we're not the only ones-
A few days ago, Cenk Uygur, the host of The Young Turks, issued a $10,000 challenge for Limbaugh to prove it.

Since American consumers of "news" have such short attention spans, give it a week, maybe two and those slots will be nice and full again. He has a very desirable audience, and he'll have no shortage of advertisers.

Remember the "war" in Libya? Yeah, faded from memory already - irrelevant. Ghadafy is dead, remember?

Actually, Rush won't have a radio show if his sponsors keep pulling their support.

Some of you are ignorant enough to blame the "liberals" but in reality, Rush has had this coming to him for a long time now.

I didn't use to like Rush but he has a way of expressing himself, cutting
through the media bias. Liberals can't tout their abortion belief to gain votes so cry loss of liberty to do another evil, contraception. How insane.

"Diabolical disorientation".....

Rush is married to his 4th wife.
Rush uses Viagara.
Rush has no children.

Hey, Einstein do you think you can figure out what I am pointing out to you here about the honorable Rush and his use of contraceptives? I am sure he used some on his trip to the Marianis with those two bottles in someone else name. It is often recomended that condoms be worn when trafficking well known child sex slavery tourism spots. But hey, he insulted a liberal so he is going to Heaven.

So you're basically saying that married women shouldn't use family planning? Or if they do it shouldn't be covered under their health insurance plans? That ANY woman who has sex outside of childbearing is a @%#*?

How do you feel about men having vasectomies? Think of all those innocent sperms they're killing!

Would not surprise me if he got pulled soon. Now this will blow over but he is getting up in age. I could see a news report announcing he has dementia starting and that is why he made those comments. Just some speculation on my part though.
