I don't know, when it shot up the images also were showing high pressure (look at 9:01:23)
On ACE, it is hard to tell how high the speed goes, because the graph doesn't go high enough (does it say 289.8 km/s? I can't trust my eyes anymore...) The other starts at 300 km/s .
But it suddenly calmed down.... but like, REALLY calmed down? I have never seen it like that.... can these create the same kind of effect like a tsunami does, where there is a moment of the water being pulled out and creating a void first? Maybe that sounds totally stupid- I will be the first to say I am ignorant in this area!
