Well, I assaulted the word recognition engine and generated a list of keywords that the game recognizes. I uploaded it to RapidShare. It is a tab-delimited text file. The words are sorted by their ID in the engine.

Words that have the same ID number are interchangeable and mean the same thing to the game. For example, the extensive list of vulgarities all have an ID of 2000.

I'm hoping that looking over a list of available keywords will generate some new ideas, but I'm feeling like we're stuck until Key 16 starts happening. And what's up with the Twitter thing? Over 90 followers and not a single tweet from Mr. Tapjoint.

So far, the tremendous information I have gathered is:

Haha, you're a funny guy. You do realize anonymous /is/ 4chan right? You post on 4chan anonymously (unless you use a trip code), hence "anonymous". They don't have a connection, they're the same thing, they're the users of 4chan. Again, they don't have a forum together, they're the same group. And having a forum would sort of destroy the purpose of anonymous wouldn't it?

And I'd be so unbelievably impressed if any group of anon could actually take the time to make a whole ARG, and for what point? If you go the impossibly paranoid route and say its to infect our PCs, you must have missed the part where they recorded a convo between the FBI and Scotland Yard, and they certainly didn't need to code a 10k+ line flash game to do it. Besides, the people likely to solve more of the game would also be the sort of user who probably knows what anti-virus is, and how to use it. Anon would rather bounce around totally oblivious 80 year old computer folk who think nigerian princes are contacting them, because there is no fear about detection there.

If we're looking for a hint, I'd say maybe they used the logo to show the group was an underground movement with anarchistic intent. Just a little clue to the more astute players about the direction things might head.

If this alliance between Anonymous and 4chan and their forum together did yield this ARG, I will record myself eating my hat.

I think we need to get a little sensible here. The creators clearly didn't want this game solved too fast, so there are some time barriers, as there are with ANY ARG. Seriously, go to to the unfiction forums, read through some of the other ARGs going on right now, and you'll see many have time gates to spread the game out, its a way to build hype and speculation, rather than 1 smart person running through the whole game.

Lets all work on adding to the Wikia, and making it an indispensable reference we can look back to. Screenshot all the videos we know of, add some facts. Maybe transcribe the news reports. Perhaps once we compile it in one source, we'll see a bigger picture emerge, or a hint we didn't see spread out before.

Yeah I agree. It has to be time sensitive. It doesn't seem like we would be able to 'save' much of anything as far as communication through a tap kit goes. Seems like it's meant to be drug out.

I'm assuming you wrote a little script to go through that, I'm wondering if we can use it to also label the words so we can know what's just a verb, adjective, or an actual object with responses. I think with that we can narrow down what we should be focusing on asking, because although there are some interesting words to me (like prison), they're listed as verbs in the return XML, meaning we won't get a response just about them.

And from scanning that list, it seems like we hit all the names. I'm still wondering how we were supposed to find out about Roger and Deetleman, we must have missed something...

Damn, I created an account at 4chan just to see what that thread was about, and when I try to view it, it tells me "Due to abuse, the proxy is only available for members with a valid LOLcard. Sorry.". They suck. That's right, you suck 4chan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wrote a quick script to replace all the word id's with the list InTheFlesh found. Interesting:

Edit: It's probably safe to ignore any false positives in .event() clauses. I forgot to restrict id replacement to .has() clauses only.

It gives some keywords, i'm not sure if this helps at all but.. Maybe someone can figure it out.

Also the phrase "japan" brings up the map again. it seems like it might be a reference to world war 2 or maybe it is a new video game? not entirely sure.

They have updated the tapjoint.swf file again, but it doesn't look like they did anything significant, just some changes to the speech engine. However, the settings.xml file has also been modified. Looks like they've changed the location of the sound and video files or something, so if anyone is playing it offline like me I'd recommend getting the new settings file.

edit: and also get the assets.xml file again because it was modified recently too.

Having said that,
I typed "who is Captain Neville" and
the reply was "I did not understand"

However, that does not mean CrookSafe is off the mark as whoever we are communicating with seems to be rather limited in their knowledge.

The other thought I had about everything being made of wood is that those who wield the electricity use it for social control (amongst other things), and this is why the revolutionaries' equipment including, weapons, are made from or insulated with wood as it is non conductive.

Just Thought I would pop back on ATS and see what's been found.
You all have been working hard on this!

I have been having a go again every now and then and still have not found anything new that can take us forward on it, And I am finding it quite frustrating now

But I still can't help but to go on tapjoint and keep trying things out

Maybe the game will forward on march 9th or something (if it is a game).

I don't have a mobile or a twitter account so can only try of the computer.
