Hmm...I have a question for the expertz out there...what happens when you cross the streams? Oops, bad ghost buster joke.

But seriously, what does happen when you get two tropical systems converging? Leslie and Michael seem to be on a collision course and will intersect each other next Wednesday.

Here is Leslie: www.nhc.noaa.gov...

& Michael: www.nhc.noaa.gov...

Neither will be hurricanes any longer by then, but I am curious as to what, if anything will happen. Thank you in advance for the answer.

Peace

She is very large, and if she does head due north..well that would be bad. Let us hope she goes NE.

Public advisory 11 just came out...not too much new...she is expected to hit Cat 2, and then drop back down. And just saying...she really is a big wide son of a gun. Doesnt really matter that she will drop back down to TS strength in a few days, her size is going to cause some bad waves and a hell of a lot of rain.

Yeah she's a doozy! I have put out the watch on my FB for the folks along the NE Coast to pay special attention. Woke up this morning and was thinking of the Perfect Storm and was going to post just that because the makings are so there.... got busy and hours later another member posted a new Thread saying just that and I laughed to myself... Preparations are underway at my place just in case - better safe than sorry - Happy Halloween Season :-) Be Safe --

Just yesterday all of the forecast tracks had her staying offshore. Now we get this...

www.weather.com...

With central pressure down to 954mb, she is turning into one bad b!tch!

Trick or treat?!?

I posted this over in The Perfect Storm thread and I want to re-post here because I think it is really important to keep an eye on Sandy. Those in her possible path, be wary and alert, please.

Link to the other thread:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

Sandy is one big storm. Just a few days ago the hurricane experts were saying she would not go bigger than a Cat 1, and that she would go NE.

Well she was darn close this morning to a Cat 3 at 105 mph winds, and each day there are more tracks showing her hitting the mainland.

Latest imagery:

www.nhc.noaa.gov...

And latest forecast tracks:

www.weather.com...

The bottom line is that she needs to be watched carefully. She is going to merge with some really strong energy in a few days. Here where I am in Michigan, it's going to be close to 80 today, tomorrow it is going to be 52! The jet stream is moving really strong energy that way, plus the full moon, plus the fact that she is HUGE equals some really scary potential.

It is not freak out time yet, it is simply time to keep a damn close eye on this.

Peace

Around here (Philly area) they are calling it SNOR'EASTICANE.

SNOW - NOR'EASTER - HURRICANE.

Some of the models take it right over us.
A hurricane with snow on the backend.
It's going to be a wild ride around here next week ...

I'm going SNOR'EASTICANE shopping Saturday for extra supplies ...

Really enjoyed this thread this past year. If I had more time, I'd jump on making a 2013 one.
