You can't come out against contraceptives and expect to win, and you can't say that woman who become pregnant due to rape shouldn't be allowed abortions. Ironic that his wife had an abortion before she married him, I wonder how he lives "knowing" he will go to heaven and his wife to hell. I mean that's what he believes right?
He is a nut job for sure.
..It's academic to talk about civil liberties if you don't talk about the true protection of all life. So if you're going to protect liberty, you have to protect the life of the unborn just as well. I have a bill in Congress ["Sanctity of Life Act of 2007"] which I certainly would promote and push as president...and what it would do is establish the principle that life begins at conception."
The notion of a rigid separation between church and state has no basis in either the text of the Constitution or the writings of our Founding Fathers. On the contrary, our Founders’ political views were strongly informed by their religious beliefs.
Ah...You are attacking Santorum on Far Right issues?

is obviously a delusional human being that needs help. I just hope people don't think of him as a Jesus substitute, yet there is a lot of whacked out people in the U.S. so it wouldn't be surprising if he won a lot of Evangelical votes...

No it is not the same. Santorum wouldn't allow abortion for rape victims, I don't think Paul would withhold that right.
Also Santorum is against contraceptives including the birth control pill which actually blocks conception, so it doesn't matter if the bill states life begins at conception as B.C. prevents it.
I am pro choice, but I personally don't think this is one of Paul's big issues which is why I trust him on it. He is obviously going to take the doctor/conservative stance, but I honestly don't think it's a main focus of his.
And I am glad Paul voted against partial birth abortion. I am very opposed to it as all should be. He is nowhere near the same as Santorum on the issue. Santorum is nutty about it, Paul is at least reasonable about it. I don't know his official stance, but I am sure he would allow for abortion in the case of rape whereas Santorum would not.edit on 28-2-2012 by GogoVicMorrow because: (no reason given)

I am curious as to why you have dedicated your time, and avatar to attacking a candidate that is polling in third place? Trolling or is it something else?

Oh and that freedom of speech comment is foolish. I made a valid point. I never argued your right to post or have that avatar I just questioned your reason. People with pro Paul avatars have them because they support him. It just shows bias and acting like it's absurd that you might be trolling is just dumb. It is a legitimate assumption. I mean if you are opposed equally to Santorum's standpoints why not have an anti Santorum avatar? The likely scenario is that you know there are a lot of pro RP supporters here and so you chose that avatar to troll. Duh.
Let's just say I like to shake things up a bit. I always go against the crowd. If the majority of the people on here were die hard Santorum supporters and I find that I disagree on the majority of his stances. Then, I would have an Anti-Santorum avatar. But it would be pointless on ATS because the majority here loves Paul

I don't mean just pro choice, I asked if you were pro partial birth abortion.
That is pretty much the definition of trolling.
