Eh.. I don't think Romney still won Maine and I think there has been some shady business with the vote in more than one state, but I don't have any delusions that he should be winning or coming in second in all states. He isn't the front runner, but I can say that his supporters actually support him whereas the other frontrunners are just what republicans have got atm. If they threw in any other Republican now and threw media support behind them (Jeb Bush for example) I would say he would do just as well as Rick and Mitt.

For anyone wondering about the actual legit delegate count you should look at NPRs delegate count. They only post delegates that are officially awarded. Not estimations.

Paul is in a distant third with official delegates, but that may all change if what his camp says is true is actually true. I hope it is.

Rick Santorum has the least delegates officially awarded.

You can't come out against contraceptives and expect to win, and you can't say that woman who become pregnant due to rape shouldn't be allowed abortions. Ironic that his wife had an abortion before she married him, I wonder how he lives "knowing" he will go to heaven and his wife to hell. I mean that's what he believes right?

He is a nut job for sure.

Ah...You are attacking Santorum on Far Right issues? Just take a look at your buddy's quotes:

..It's academic to talk about civil liberties if you don't talk about the true protection of all life. So if you're going to protect liberty, you have to protect the life of the unborn just as well. I have a bill in Congress ["Sanctity of Life Act of 2007"] which I certainly would promote and push as president...and what it would do is establish the principle that life begins at conception."

Exactly the same as Santorum on Church and State:

The notion of a rigid separation between church and state has no basis in either the text of the Constitution or the writings of our Founding Fathers. On the contrary, our Founders’ political views were strongly informed by their religious beliefs.

He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named Voted YES on banning partial-birth abortion except to save mother's life.

So you see your man is just as crazy as Santorum is and Santorum is doing better in the polls. Methinks your jealous!

I think most people are attacking Santorum because he is a fake, and anyone who uses the great Satan in a debate is obviously a delusional human being that needs help. I just hope people don't think of him as a Jesus substitute, yet there is a lot of whacked out people in the U.S. so it wouldn't be surprising if he won a lot of Evangelical votes...

Funny but that's what 75-90% of the country think about Paul supporters.

No it is not the same. Santorum wouldn't allow abortion for rape victims, I don't think Paul would withhold that right.

Also Santorum is against contraceptives including the birth control pill which actually blocks conception, so it doesn't matter if the bill states life begins at conception as B.C. prevents it.

I am pro choice, but I personally don't think this is one of Paul's big issues which is why I trust him on it. He is obviously going to take the doctor/conservative stance, but I honestly don't think it's a main focus of his.

And I am glad Paul voted against partial birth abortion. I am very opposed to it as all should be. He is nowhere near the same as Santorum on the issue. Santorum is nutty about it, Paul is at least reasonable about it. I don't know his official stance, but I am sure he would allow for abortion in the case of rape whereas Santorum would not.

LOL. Such an intelligent deflection
.
Is that supposed to accomplish something? Hurt our feelings?

Nevermind.. I just saw your "how old are you" thread. Everything makes so much more sense.
Your opinions will change when you make it to around 25. Right now you are sucked into the liberal trap same as I was a few years ago. Fact is Dems are just as bad as the GOP.

I am curious as to why you have dedicated your time, and avatar to attacking a candidate that is polling in third place? Trolling or is it something else?

You're right, its certainly not his main focus. According to Paul, the federal government has no business at all intervening in such issues because such intervention is not authorized by the Constitution. States may do so, but not congress or the administration.

Added to that, I suspect that well over 90% of abortions are chosen based on financial issues. Now THAT is where Paul has placed his main focus, and rightly so.

Exit polls are giving Arizona to Romney, as expected (lots of Mormons in them there hills). Yet the fun one, of course, will be Michigan.

Ah right cause anybody who questions him has got to be a troll. Or only avatars that promote him can be allowed. It's called freedom of speech buddy. Something your candidate knows so much about. How about start by practicing what he preaches.

This seemed to be the best place to put this link. I didn't want to start a new thread on the statistics of the race.
www.realclearpolitics.com...
It is a hugely great link if you're into numbers.

Real Clear Politics (RCP) shows the results of at least a half dozen surveys asking "Who would you prefer, Obama or _______." You can compare them all yourself, but RCP averages the polls and reports that Gingrich would get the most soundly trounced. Santorum and Romney would each lose by about 5-6 points, and Paul would lose by over 7.

Yes, I know that averaging polls is risky, if not fatal, to any analysis, but you can also look at the individual polls and get your own feeling for it.

On the surface, it doesn't look like Paul would pull in enough Democrats and Independents to win, but things will change between now and Election Day.

Find me somewhere where Paul says he is opposed to Rape victims receiving abortions.
Also, do you believe partial birth abortions are ok? That is what you implied.

Oh and that freedom of speech comment is foolish. I made a valid point. I never argued your right to post or have that avatar I just questioned your reason. People with pro Paul avatars have them because they support him. It just shows bias and acting like it's absurd that you might be trolling is just dumb. It is a legitimate assumption. I mean if you are opposed equally to Santorum's standpoints why not have an anti Santorum avatar? The likely scenario is that you know there are a lot of pro RP supporters here and so you chose that avatar to troll. Duh.

Let's just say I like to shake things up a bit. I always go against the crowd. If the majority of the people on here were die hard Santorum supporters and I find that I disagree on the majority of his stances. Then, I would have an Anti-Santorum avatar. But it would be pointless on ATS because the majority here loves Paul. It's not trolling it's what you would call going against the status quo and on ATS that is exactly what I am doing!

I'm liberal on social issues. So I am pro-choice. I am not religious either but still vote conservative republican cause I agree with all their other issues 90% of the time. I may be agnostic but still respect everyone's rights for religious freedom.

I don't mean just pro choice, I asked if you were pro partial birth abortion.

I am pro choice, but against partial birth abortion.

Also when you say:

That is pretty much the definition of trolling.

Pro-choice means that you even have the choice to have a partial abortion. I may not like it but I won't tell others what they should and shouldn't do with their lives.

So since when did an image become trolling? I can effectively say that all the pro-RP avatars are trolling because there is nobody that has a Romney avatar. What are you going to do, report me to the ATS police? Get rid of my freedom of speech?

If you can show off how much you love him then I can show off how much I dont

I checked your link, thank you.

It says Paul has 8 out of 114 delegates, but it was last updated February 7. I was hoping to follow the count on the site, but it needs to be updated a little more frequently.

And why don't you think you should be?

They are the only two how are in serious contention in today's primaries. Gingrich and Paul are fighting for 3rd...and most likely will get no delegates out of today.
