Thanks once again OP!!
It's been over an hour now since I've read your post. I called my mom after reading what you said and told her......she broke down in tears of joy. She's throwing a party right now. Infortunately, I live three states away and can't make it. She just called back and said her house is almost full, but it was hard to hear her over all the honking car horns on the street outside her house.
Closer to home here, when my cousins Billy Ray and Bubba found out, they got the shotguns out and let off several rounds in their neighborhood.
Who becomes Vice-President now, after Biden moves up?

Here is the failure to communicate. It is not opinion. It is not conforming to our ways. This is fact. Plain and simple. No other way around it, unless you want to ignore facts (kinda the opposite of ATS's motto huh?) Whether you love Obama or hate him, it doesn't change the fact that the man was eligible for become president, and is the president legally.
This is not an attempt to make you like or agree with Obama. We are citizens of the United States and members of ATS who refuse to allow lies to be spread. No, we wont go away and we wont become silent. We will go to every new birther thread on here and bombard it with cold hard facts.... Something birthers seem to like to ignore.
^confirmed self confessed shill^
But tell me, are you also going to spread the fact that obamas own released document is a proven fake?
Or are you in effect going to make a hypocrite of yourself?
My money is on the latter ^^
Sleep well

There is difference between citizen and the right to be president....you can be a citizen of the US but not eligible for the presidency. ..ie....Schwarzenegger.

The correct interpretation of the 14th Amendment is that an illegal alien mother is subject to the jurisdiction of her native country, as is her baby. Over a century ago, the Supreme Court appropriately confirmed this restricted interpretation of citizenship in the so-called "Slaughter-House cases" [83 US 36 (1873) and 112 US 94 (1884)]13. In the 1884 Elk v.Wilkins case12, the phrase "subject to its jurisdiction" was interpreted to exclude "children of ministers, consuls, and citizens of foreign states born within the United States." In Elk, the American Indian claimant was considered not an American citizen because the law required him to be "not merely subject in some respect or degree to the jurisdiction of the United States, but completely subject to their political jurisdiction and owing them direct and immediate allegiance." The Court essentially stated that the status of the parents determines the citizenship of the child. To qualify children for birthright citizenship, based on the 14th Amendment, parents must owe "direct and immediate allegiance" to the U.S. and be "completely subject" to its jurisdiction. In other words, they must be United States citizens.
In 1889, the Wong Kim Ark Supreme Court case10,11 once again, in a ruling based strictly on the 14th Amendment, concluded that the status of the parents was crucial in determining the citizenship of the child. The current misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment is based in part upon the presumption that the Wong Kim Ark ruling encompassed illegal aliens. In fact, it did not address the children of illegal aliens and non-immigrant aliens, but rather determined an allegiance for legal immigrant parents based on the meaning of the word domicil(e). Since it is inconceivable that illegal alien parents could have a legal domicile in the United States, the ruling clearly did not extend birthright citizenship to children of illegal alien parents. Indeed, the ruling strengthened the original intent of the 14th Amendment.

And the children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born citizens: Provided, That the right of citizenship shall not descend to persons whose fathers have never been resident in the United States: Provided also, That no person heretofore proscribed by any state, shall be admitted a citizen as aforesaid, except by an act of the legislature of the state in which such person was proscribed. Approved, March 26, 1790.
