Amazing...

Obama apologizes for this, but doesn't demand an apology for the killing of 2 American servicemen over this.

Disgusting...

What do you expect? He wouldn't want to offend his Muslim brethren.

Obama absolutely loves his holy Koran

good attitude. When they kill one of my countrymen in response at least their family can think, hey they got under their skin. That was worth it.

I have a retired uncle that has alot of time on his hands so he volunteers at his church each day . The uncle calls me ealier tonight and says he was walking home from the church and an arab looking man offered him a ride . This man tells him that he is a muslim and what has went on today with the book burning and they discuss this during the trip to my uncle's home and then out of the blue my uncle is getting ready to leave the car and the man looks at him and says I could have drove off and killed you . I thought why would the MSM release this without telling the entire story ? Then I thought about the recent article here on ATS about Iran saying they had sleeper cells in the US. Looks like another way to start a war.

I'm not defending the actions of the individuals. I said that the coalition forces are at risk now, and it is evident with Afghanis trying to storm French and American bases.

My point is, and you are right ! but my point is, that this should not be as big as it is, yet people largely justify the reaction when that reaction includes Everyone.. As you say. We're all denouncing this act. But should YOU be there right now, you'd be killed. That is no factual lie.

a few people can incite such an outrage, to the point of death. Death to innocent people.

Whos to blame for that? The instigators, or the abhorrent mindless minions of a cult set about to find any excuse to slay the enemy?

And in this, you cannot say 'thousands of people' in one region alone are a small number. They want american heads on sticks. We've seen this occur world wide. WORLD WIDE. in almost every islamic nation, and those western nations where islam has found ground. So we can rule out the poverty line right there.

reverse this in any situation, the numbers a vastly different.

Unless the numbers expressed are skewed.

It is actions such as this that create new terrorists, just as all the accidental civilian casualties, avoidable or unavoidable. Imagine losing your family to a terrorist group or soldiers of a different nation. What would Your Response Be? You lose your wife and children and in-laws and friends, your home and business..... you just might take up weapons and join a group yourself.

Terrorists were doing their thing long before we burned any of their books. Got any explanation for that?

For being the "religion of peace," it sure is violent. Let's see...we burn some books, and they cut our heads off and post it to the internet; gas their own people; blow themselves and each other up because they're being "oppressed" by mystical, invisible forces; openly call for the destruction of an entire civilization that has a different religious viewpoint, as well as the murder of everyone who is different...I say at worst, we call it even.

In fact, a few of those events were perpetrated by someone in Europe a few decades back. You might have heard of Hitler. Pretty bad guy, yeah? Same story, different part of the world. It was evil then, and it's evil now.

I don't have to imagine losing loved ones. Plenty of people lost their family in the 2001 terror attacks...and you saw what our response was. You're still seeing it. According to your logic, we should all rush out to enlist, right?

Stop trying to put lipstick on a pig. If killing people is wrong, then tell your friends to knock it off. Seems to me that this "war on terror" didn't kick off until they decided that flying airplanes into things in the name of Allah was perfectly acceptable on a social level.

Do well to remember that the Koran is a religious doctrine and a political manifesto all in one. Something the Bible is not. Stop apologizing to the crazies and halt the pussyfication of the western culture people! Europe will become muslim sooner than we think and then where will our ass kissing get us then? Read both of Mark Steyn's books on this as it shows you a very possible scenario happening before our eyes. The muslims have the will and the population drive to change things around... while we, well we apologize and bend to every accommodation to a culture that has no respect nor desire to be as accommodating to our way of life. Muslims don't kill us because we burn books you asses, they kill us because according to their doctrine it is their way or the highway. Why do you people think they call us infidels? Do we do the same to them? Do we defend our beliefs with such ferocity? No most of us just wants to be left alone in our bubbles, our heads buried in the sand. We will apologize until we are yelling "Allahu Akbar" out on the streets... goodbye freedom, I will miss you.

A rabid dog bites you.
Who is to blame?

You walk into a rabid dogs yard and put your face in his food dish and he bites you.
Who is to blame?

When you understand what the consequences of your actions will be and that they will be net negative but do it anyway, the question of intelligence only lies in those making the "intelligent" CHOICE to get harmed.

ok lets put it in simple terms for you.. here we go..

i understand and respect that those of muslim faith regard that book as "sacred"

ok

well lets say i regard the christian bible as "sacred" they have burned hundreds of them, when was the last time their president went on national television to apaologize?

Not really the same thing is it?
You have to imagine they invaded the US and are burning this precious book in your face while they wage war in your land.

Try now.

i'll say it one more time..an innocent human life if more sacred than any book will ever be...eyt hundreds are kidnapped and murdered by muslims...

Maybe not going into Muslim countries with guns and bombs would be a start. Or are people just supposed to accept that?

everything in this world is sacred to someone, yet you dont see the muslims apologizing for the atrocities they have committed against humanity, and god..

cheers "mate"

Sure, why be any better then, right? Who else is really bad that you would like to lower the US standards to? Hey, if they can rape women with machetes in the Congo...then we should do that too!

I actually see this is "accident" as a great opportunity.

German troops can finally leave the mess in Afghanistan with a conclusive argument.

"Hey, we tried to win the hearts and minds for years... but you had to ruin all that in one day. Okay bye".

Oh boohoo those terrible terrible people! Oh please, go to the bible belt and burn bibles, see how that turns out for you. Go to isreal, burn torahs or however that is spelled, see how that turns out for you. Comparing the burning of flags, to the burning of someone's holy book is absurd. I am not religious and even I see that. It's plain stupidity is what it is, and if it wasn't a blatent provocation, then we have a bunch of morons running our military....

The rabid dog.

As always.

I never infected the dog, yet he wants to bight ME anyway.

I was most likely there to tend to his sickness.

So you're saying Islam is nothing more than a rabid disease.

I agree.

What is it with these extreme right-wing politicos and their desire to burn books?

What is with these barbaric, stone-age, religious nutcases. Ffs, this is 2012, not 1012!

It is sad, if the only thing you got out of that was a possibly spelled wrong word......

Go into any hardnosed religious area, kill a bunch of their neighbors, then burn their holy books. The same exact thing would happen......

BOO HOO!

who cares... its just a bunch of paper created out of trees, mass produced and printed to brainwash the already feeble minded arab nation.

im so sick and tired of the bs with religion, its sickening, " oh no he burned 300 pages of paper, lets get him and murder him and drag his body through the streets!, im sure this is what allah would want"

enough already, as long as you believe in god, and know his love and teachings in your mind, who cares about some book...

its not like it was blessed in mecca or, some ritual was performed to make it "sacred"

the koran, torah, bible, etc...are all MASS PRODUCED... by MAN, in factories

grow up

Ahhh, but you're wrong. It's not just a collection of paper to them. It's a symbol of their faith and culture. By defiling their most sacred book, the soldiers have basically flipped an entire culture the bird.

and how many bibles, havent the muslims burned?

give me a break, its 2012 to me a human life is more sacred than some overrated, piece of paper that contains nothing but lies...

so a book means more to you than a be headed mother? or father? or a hung 15 year old "gay" boy?

HYPOCRITE

this world is full of them..

there is nothing more sacred than human life, once that is violated and tarnished...all bets are off

anything else, including some recycled toilet paper book is definatley NO EXCEPTION partner

You are exactly right. There is nothing more sacred than human life, in my opinion. And killing in retaliation for burning a book is horrendously wrong. And killing far outweighs burning a book. So no, I'm not justifying what happened in any way, and if I gave that impression then I apologize.

Forgive me if somebody already posted this. I didnt want to read through all the anti-Islamic BS from people who have no idea what they are talking about.

I am in A-stan right now. I have been told the offical story and the "offical" story.

SInce this websites catch phrase is Deny Ignorance, you would think that some of you would research what really happened.

It didnt happen like you think. Wait for the details. The locals are being lied to just like most of you by TPTB......They are getting fired up because of these lies. (The same type of lies that WE attacked Iraq for) God knows that to get little boys and girls to go die for thier country you need somebody to be the bad guy....

I knew there was more to the story.

I will wait and see what comes of it. To think though, we burn a book and they start killing. Instead of people back home living in relative peace taking a step back and saying wait a minute, maybe we are being made out to be A- holes. No, they take the bait and go off on a hick-a-thon, saying the most belligerent and dumbass things possible, further proving to TPTB that we are morons and actually buy into the Islam hate.

I am sorry if you succumb to the BS and start hating people you never met because you think their religion is "evil" then you are a jack ass. You have taken the bait hook, line, and sinker. So let me get this straight. You call them crazy for buying into the BS rhetoric making them want to kill us. Yet you go ahead and buy into the BS making you want to kill them.

are you that dumb?

If so, please, proceed to grunt like your purpose indicates and throw your feces up into the air, screaming like retards about how evil Islam is. I am sure you will meet your counterpart somewhere to throw their feces up into the air, grunt and scream about how the west is evil. Then you apes can club eachother to death after WW3 is over.

dumbasses.

Huh... here I was thinking that if a book meant so much that you'd stand up for it, you'd learn how to spell it.

Or is that not just as disrespectful?

It's not about spelling, it's about showing respect, I thought.

Oh well, never mind.. perhaps I'm wrong afterall.. those people died for nothing.
