Hi Sled. I hope you had a good holiday.

I thought I would share this experience with you...

This happened about three years ago.
My step-father had a friend that was staying here for a couple of weeks until he could find a place of his own. My mother was at work, so it was the three of us in the living room watching t.v. My step-dad had fallen asleep in the recliner, but his friend and I were still watching a movie when there was suddenly a loud noise in the kitchen, like pots and pans falling in the cabinet. We both turned our attention to that area, and we both saw a shadow walk in front of the door from the living room going into the kitchen.

We both looked at each other with wide eyes, and I asked, "Did you see that?!" He shook his head yes.
We sat there, not moving, for awhile. Nothing else happened that night, but I heard knocking noises coming from the kitchen several different nights after that. Then it stopped, and I haven't heard it anymore.

I don't know what that was all about?
Was it just passing through trying to get our attention, or was it a ghost that was attached to my step-dad's friend?
I tend to think it had something to do with him because I had never felt, or seen a ghost in the house before that, and when he left the activity stopped.

hey mindless1980. just thought i would drop my opinion. it COULD be a passing ghost which seems the most likely. if the ghost (or whatever it was) is attached to your friend he should ot have been that surprisede it happened. though if he has a lingering spirit at his home that he know of he might not have expected it to start following him and therefore be more surprised. the following knocking sounds at night confuse me. i suspect that it could be a spirit looking for help or perhaps looking for a place to settle down. i dont know but i hope it can help you

Good to see you again, Mindless.

I agree with viking. I would think your visitor wouldn't be so shocked to see a ghost if it was attached to him. But then, maybe he had seen it before, and he didn't want to say anything because he was afraid he would be asked to leave.

It all worked out in the end, since the activity stopped. Happy about that!

Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

Thanks for your input, Vikingdk87.

I am always happy to see members taking part in the thread. Sometimes I feel like I'm all alone here lately, except for the one posting.

Have a good night.

(Thanks for your input too, Charmeine.)

No problem. I'm not an expert but years of personal research and own experience in vast areas of the paranormal and theology may help others. I'm a knowledge junkie, have read a lot over the years.

6 months before the boxing day tsunami I had two dreams a month about a beach being swamped by the sea and 3 weeks leading up to it I dreamt the same dream every night till it happened and then the dream stopped 2 nights before Japan I had the same sort of dream but that may be because I was thinking of the new Zealand EQ

that stuff may sound like rubbish to some but I know it to be true.....

could be an over active imagination, I am not religious either so I'm not going to come out with God is telling me stuff that we sometimes see on threads, But these dreams do scare me sometimes.

In the dream about the boxing day Tsunami I was standing looking out of a hotel ground floor window seeing the wave coming in then I'm either on top of the building or floating but I'm watching the devastation.....

I'm not crazy but I thought this thread maybe a place where I can put my thoughts ahead and actually get a proper response from someone hopefully respectful any Insight is appreciated

any interpretations ?

Not an interpretation, but an explanation...

Sometimes when we sleep our spirit leaves our body. This is called an OBE (out of body experience). The mere fact that you felt like you were floating tells me this, (and the fact that it came true). We all do this at times, just not everyone remembers it.

Not rubbish... You are being shown things to come. Your spirit guide may be taking you to these places so you can warn people to prepare. Sometimes they are with us on our spiritual journeys, and people aren't even aware of their presence.

There are timelines that are said to exist where people can see into the future. (This is how psychics and mediums can tell the future.)
So, it seems you crossed over these timelines and went into the future during an OBE.
If your dreams of this nature usually come true, you could use your dreams to warn people. At least post it on the "Dreams and Predictions" forum, just in case it could save someones life.

When you're "dreaming", try to notice your surroundings so you can get an idea of where you are, and look for any clues of dates. Maybe a calendar hanging on a wall, or a newspaper lying somewhere. Any information that will help you pinpoint the area would be great. If you don't see anything, ask that you be shown something. Just say it out loud. Your guide will hear you even if you don't see her/him.

Thanks for sharing that here. I hope you develop your gift and use it for the good of mankind.

Awesome!

thank you for taking time to explain this to me I will do some research and I will post up when I next have a dream like it strange things happen, I just felt sceptical about it myself; because of all the anti I see and read about people who make predictions and turn out to be failed or frauds and the hate that is put out there against these people is unbelievable I told my dad about the boxing day dream he laughed at me then when it happen he said I got lucky so I just took it as that.............

most recent dream I been having regular is a European coastal town with a horseshoe bay shape ( concrete with a fair ground and market stools on top a 4 story hotel that I am In looking out watching this wave roll in Im on the 3rd floor and the wave looks to be the same height as my floor level I turn my back towards the window and brace up in the fireplace I think I get knocked out because I wake up in the dream with a head wound but there is no water around just debris and torn up bay area the occasional boat here and there there are people wondering around but they are traumatised some seem to be oblivious to what had happened yet the fair ground is gone no to be seen and the sea is moving backwards out past the horizon as if its being sucked back at a rapid speed. the area looks to be mountainous behind the town and looks to be northern or central European as there isn't much of a beach when the dream starts the weather doesn't look to bad but overcast I've had it 6 times now and I see more every time last time was 3 weeks ago and 8 weeks before that but it is definitely the same dream.

I've been reading this thread for 7 days straight. I decided today to register to ATS and I look forward to learning about everyone's experiences further. Anyway, I am going to reply to this thread.

When I was 12, I knew a girl who saw auras, spirits, could talk to spirits, etc.. I felt comfortable with her and asked her many questions about the spirit world. Knowing now the ouija board is a no-no, I have thought back on my experiences with it. The only times I ever did it was with that girl. I felt comfortable & definitely a little anxious. We only did it outside of the house and whenever I had a bad feeling I went inside and chilled out for a moment. I have always been able to pick up on energies and she truly broadened by spectrum. I feel spirit energies and always know when I have a bad feeling to walk away.

I don't talk to her anymore but I think she was in my life to introduce these things to me. I've had some wonderful paranormal experiences and some scary ones but I embrace it because not everyone has them!

So to talk about what I've felt
-playing in my hair
-hands on me (legs, shoulders, arms)
-I can see auras
-I can see orbs, not in pictures. But that is something I'm not exactly sure about. Anyone else?
-I feel people sit on my bed when I'm the only one there (the couch, too. Once)
-I hear disembodied voices and people call my name
-I've also seen a couple misty figures & 1 full body apparition when I was about 6
-high pitched noises in my ears sometimes. Also not sure what that means
-flashbacks to past lives

And I've been reading about astral projection for a few weeks. Any tips to lose the fear?

You should go post this in the Dreams and Predictions forum. I think a lot of people need to know this. You will get slammed by some of the members there, but someone may see it that takes it seriously. You could save someone's life. Give some background information about yourself and your other dreams that have come true, like you did here.

A lot of people are having dreams about waves of water hitting. This tells me it will happen... more and more people are getting the warning, so I think it could be getting closer.

Thanks for sharing that here.

Welcome to ATS, and my thread, Jill89.

The only thing I can tell you about releasing the fear is to do the deep breathing exercises, and imagine yourself in a bubble of white protective light from The Divine Source. Say a prayer of protection before you start. This is what I have read to do. I've never been able to force an OBE myself, so this advice is second-hand.

Also, I've read that ringing in the ears is the pineal gland becoming active. Pay attention to what is going on around you when this happens. You may get some insights others can't see/have.

You have had some amazing experiences! Thanks so much for sharing them here.

Would you mind going into detail about them when you have time? We love to read about other's experiences.

Thank you so much!

The playing in my hair and the touching I first felt while using the ouija board. I began to see auras while with that girl, too. I have also felt so overwhelmed with energy that I cried. I can't even explain it. I wasn't sad or happy or anyhting. It was not emotion-based I guess you could say. I just cried because the energy was so overwhelming. Also during a ouija board session. I had 0 bad feelings that night & was full of happiness and bouncing with energy. Seeing orbs also began when I met her. To me they look like white BRIGHT circles that seem to leave a trail behind them and disappear in seconds. I have read on here about it & I have ruled out some things. Who knows if they're even orbs, I don't know!

As for the sitting on my bed thing, that freaks me out. The first time I experienced it, I had been sleeping on the couch at night, I woke up because my legs felt like they were tipping then I realized someone was sitting by my feet. I thought it was one of my parents but I looked back and saw nothing. I feel it on my bed a lot and try to ignore it because I don't know who it is or why they are there.

I saw a few misty figures and my favorite experience was this: my cat was laying on me and she moved her head from right to left slowly and then stopped moving her head & I looked where she was looking & watched as a white mist passed by. Now I don't know if you can understand that or not.

For the high pitched noises in my ears.. I have had a permanent ringing for years (too many concerts too young lol) but this high pitched sound is only in one ear & seems to block out all sound and stops soon after.

As for the past life flashbacks. I can't explain them. I get feelings like I have lived a certain way or remembered a certain building. I also find I know what people are saying before they say it.

Anyone have an similar instances?

Does the pineal gland relate to the third eye? I think I read that somewhere.

Thank you. I guess this is one question we'll never know the answer to for sure. I'm just pleased it didn't return to make my life hell.

And thank you, too, Viking. I appreciate all members sharing their opinions.

I'm very happy to see more new members posting on this thread. I hope it never stops. I love reading all the stories! Keep them coming, people!

Yes, it does. I have a video back in the thread somewhere that discusses it. I have no idea where it is. Maybe I can find it when I have more time. I have to get ready for work now.

Thank you, Anderson. I deleted the post to you above. I had you confused with another member here.

I'll go flag this now so I'll have it in my list. Thanks, and good luck. Just don't feed the trolls. If you ignore any negative remarks, they'll go away... hopefully.
