My birthday is just around the corner. Someone "out there" has left pennies for me several times in the past (although not for my birthday).
When I got up this morning the first thing I did was come to my computer. I like to wake up by checking out what's happening in the world. Well, right there lying on my keyboard was a penny made in the year I was born. This is an old penny mind you, not one that a person comes across every day.

So, was a loved one saying happy birthday to me by leaving a penny with my birth year?

I have no explanation for this.

My strange dream was set in the future. I boarded a spaceship from earth to another star system. I saw the stars move and a female voice announced that we have traveled light speed now after the stars stopped moving. We were at our destination in a flash. Then I woke up. It was only 3 am. I did fall asleep with Star Trek on last night. Maybe my dream means I'm going somewhere fast. I was wondering if traveling several light years in a second or two might actually appear to make stars streak across your view as in my dream. I think that is actually a lot faster than Star Trek normal warp drive. Cool I thought. That was a whole lot faster than light speed.

Many years ago when I was young and lived at the family home, myself and friends would go deep into the woods where we lived, and build tree houses, played in the lake and did all sorts of idiot things. We always had the feeling though that we were being watched. Being young we didn't dwell on it much.

Fast forward to grown up me and now I've moved out and live somewhere else close by. I decided to use my Spirit Box in the same woods. I got a few EVP's and heard some odd noises. Nothing spectacular. As I stood up, a woman just kind appeared out of the bush. It startled me. She just carried on walking. Even though she must have seen we jump back suddenly.

Needless to say, I didn't hang around. She might have been a genuine person, but I wasn't going to wait to find out.

My brother captured many EVP's in the same area. I haven't been down there for years. Maybe a road trip for the future. Where I currently live, there is a huge forest area. It's beautiful. I take regular walks through there and have never felt Threatened. Never caught any EVP's around there either.

I've had a few paranormal experiences over the years. I'll share them sometime.

We all have that inner "knowing" when something else is around us. It affects our surrounding energy field, and that's the strange feeling we pick up.
Some people pay it no attention if they can't see anything with their physical eyes, but if people would realize this "feeling" is our other "eye", they could begin expanding their psychic abilities.
It appears you have acknowledged yours.

Be careful using any device that opens up communication with the spirit world. I used to think this type of thing was okay, and it is as long as you have protected yourself spiritually. But that's the problem; not everyone knows to do this.

There is a lot to learn about the spirit world before going out and opening that door. It's not always fun and games.
Sometimes something truly evil comes through and attaches to the person. Getting rid of it can be a tremendous feat.

On a lighter note, it's always nice when it turns out to be a family member saying hello.

Sleep Paralysis free since Spring of 2019.

Just an FYI for your thread. I had a subcontractor over last week and we began talking about politics and stuff. It then somehow got into him talking about hearing things at night such as muffled talk, radio or music. Hes a straight shooter with a family and young kids and hes pretty smart and grounded. I then shared my sleep paralysis episodes with him and he said that he has had those episodes since childhood. He never knew what they were ever called until I told him. I learned it also from your thread here on ATS in 2019. The "Hoodie" also visits him. He also sees other things during the day in his peripheral vision. I wont write about that yet here on ATS as I loaned him the book; Dark Intrusions by Louis Proud.

Dark Intrusions by Louis Proud is a much needed investigation into the paranormal aspects of sleep paralysis visions. ... Proud is a sleep paralysis experiencer himself, so his narrative is grounded in his first-hand knowledge of what it feels like to be held down while you sleep by various unsavory entities.

The bottom line in all of this if you want it to stop or go away, invest in prayer and simply pray to God.

I will see him again in two weeks. He was extremely shaken by Louis Proud's explanation of the muffled noise. music and he has other things that hes experiencing. Things that I never experienced.

I can only hope to help as your thread has helped me understand.

I find it very strange that people can say sleep paralysis is just the brain playing some kind of trick on the body when so many people see the same dark entities while they are paralyzed. This isn't logical.

Thanks. I will see how and if he will read the book. The guy looked terrified and hes no boy scout. Plus he also doesn't wear religion on his sleeve. Just a rational guy trying to figure it out. He didn't say much the rest of the day. He did take the book. All I know is that I never knew what Sleep Paralysis was until I read this actual thread.

My brother PhD also has it and he has seen the "Hoodie"

I often wonder why NO ONE in the world has ever tried to determine as if those with the SP have one [1] common gene or DNA strain such as persons having various syndromes, etc., such as Down Syndrome. That could explain it. Or it could not!

I don't know if i posted my experiences in here or not. I've been in ATS for awhile but stick to other topics mostly. I have had some strange things happen very early in my life. I used to play with a girl late at night for one, who claimed to be my sister that passed 4 yrs before i was born. I used to have terrifying dreams where i would see these things crowded around me taunting me, which my sister taught me a way of overcoming this. I can to an extent see energy coming off people, in like a liquid form. I saw it a lot in churches which would form a sort of river on the ceiling and would flow outward. I've seen black blob like things, morph into humanoid shapes and then disappear. My dreams are especially weird and most of my writing comes from things i've seen in them. Either inspire or direct translation from them.

I've stopped using my spirit box for now.

Everytime I use it, I feel an energy around me for a couple weeks. Not good energy either. I hear things, see shadows and have terrible nightmares. Night terrors became the norm for a week or so.
Then suddenly it stops. Things get back to normal. I tested out the theory and everytime I use the spirit box, the same feeling hangs in the air for around 2 or 3 weeks.

I@ve been noting down times and dates when I smell things that are out of place. They are just a whiff, then gone.

I've always had an ability to see and feels what others don't. It's not something I share because people just dismiss it almost straight away.

Once I felt a jolt of electricity running though me, when I reached for my uncles tombstone with my hand to clean up the snow on top of it, while my dad was lighting up the candles. It hit me just when I touched the tombstone. It was really weird.

WTF! I've been here since 2012 and never knew that! I find threads I've posted in and leave them alone after a day or two because I don't want to have to sift through page after page after page.

I've had several paranormal experiences from a UFO that hovered at the end of my driveway when I was helping my mom unload hay in the 80's, to my ex GF and I seeing the Goatman standing at the gate of an old graveyard we used to sneak off to to do dirty things in the late 90's, to seeing hand prints on a mirror in my bathroom that I'd just cleaned in 2011, with many other experiences in between. I wouldn't even know where to start.

I've heard of this before. I've heard that a penny is used because it's easier for a ghost to move. And no, I'm not talking about Patrick Swayze.

Very interesting that you had a penny on your computer... My sister has seen pennies out of place on her floor before.

No, you haven't posted here in the past Azathoth, so I must welcome you to the thread.

Your sister coming to you is a good story. Have you ever seen pictures of her to verify it was her? That's pretty cool if you know for sure it was her. She might be your "guardian angel" now, so to speak.

You can see energy fields. Is this like a person's aura, or just a form of energy around the room?

The black blobs sound terrifying! Did they ever try to touch you, or harm you in any way?

All your experiences sound fascinating, and I would love for you to go into detail with the story behind each one, especially the goat man. I've seen this creature discussed on t.v. shows, but I've never known anyone myself who has seen one. That would be great if you would tell us.

Sounds like you've had some spirits/ghosts living with you too. Very freaky stuff.

I have another story about pennies here somewhere. Lord only knows where it is! That time I was standing at my bathroom sink and something thumped me in the back of the head VERY HARD. If memory serves me, it landed on the sink counter. It was a penny.
No one else was with me, so it had to come from "out there" somewhere. Whomever sent it must have played as a baseball pitcher in their previous life because it had force behind it!

Strange... very strange things have happened to me my entire life. Thus, this thread.
It's been great therapy for me talking to everyone else and finding out I'm not the only one.
I hope it's doing the same for everyone else who visits this thread.

Oops, I about missed you Prowler77. You were squeezed in between two other posts.

So, you can feel energy? Do you have any other "gifts" that you are aware of? Is this the only time it happened?
Are you psychic at all?

It sounds like you are picking up on energy fields emitting through the tombstone. It doesn't mean it came from a spirit though.
Earth emits an energy field that is concentrated in ley lines. If the tombstone was made from granite, which most are, and it was sitting over a ley line, then this would amplify the energy even more so that it gave you a small jolt.

But that's just one suggestion I'm throwing out. The other could be that you touched a spirit and felt it's energy.

Choose whichever option makes you feel the most comfortable.

As for your dream, it's interesting timing when you woke up. Three a.m. is when the evil ones toy around with us. It's the opposite time of when Jesus is said to have died on the cross; it's their way of mocking him. But, this dream doesn't appear to have any evil entities in it, so it may not apply in this case.

As for the warp drive speed, if it looks anything like what I've seen on Stargate SG-1, then what you describe sounds exactly like what they show. Of course it's only t.v., so who knows for sure what it would look like?

Anyway, sounds like an awesome dream. Now that Space Force is active, maybe it will be more than a dream someday soon.
