Why Lucifer/Satan? Musicians now openly performing to or about the Evil One!!

How is it that there are so many bright minds here on ATS yet the majority of you are extremely convinced that TPTB are Satanists? I have a feeling that most of you don't even know what being a Satanist is even about, that or any other left hand path religion or philosophy. Just because your Church or the MSM labels something as evil or immoral doesn't mean you should believe it. Express some individuality and research some things before buying into the this herd mentality.

Sophia means wisdom. Just because the Hellenistic pagans gave wisdom a human/female personification doesn't mean that translates over to Christianity. You're getting your wires crossed. In Orthodox Christianity, wisdom is an energy of God. In our apophatic theology we don't say that wisdom is the essence of God, because God is incomprehensible. I hear Sophia!/Wisdom! Let us be attentive at every Divine Liturgy.

They added passages about women being silent in church because they did not like the female preachers of that time period. They merged Mary Magdalene with the prostitute Mary, when in fact, Mary Magdalene was an apostle, and perhaps Jesus' most beloved.

We recognize lots of women preachers, missionaries, martyrs, etcetera. No women priests though, and not because women are inferior. It was hygiene motivated as women literally bled out each month, and were often restricted during those times. The Orthodox Church has never said Mary Magdalene was a prostitute and we recognize her as Equal To The Apostles.

As to the OP: I have no idea if certain singers consider themselves Satanists or not, though I seriously doubt most do. The music industry has always attempted to set themselves against 'the establishment'- never mind that they've now become the establishment themselves. At one point, the establishment represented those who held to Judeo-Christian beliefs and disapproved of the rock and roll. Anymore, said establishment is the minority, imo. It's about shock value to get attention and money and always has been. Any attention was good, and negative attention became a mainstay. If you're too everyday Mr./Miss nice person, your handlers will make you over into an attention seeking weirdo for cash money because freaky sells.

i only see desperate musicians trying to get attention by TPTB...or they are a pretty big crowd of artists...na - attention whores, nothing more...and because tonns of movies exist doesnt make them real or designers - gee, there are tonns of cloth full with satan-all seeing eye etc symbolism - so every one of them is inside?...same with these lyrics...attention - and it works...i bet most of them have read crowley and blavatsky and think now they know everything and have to show their "knowledge" to get an "invitation"....

This started waaay back with Nimrod and the tower of Bab'El (Gateway to God) when Nimrod was trying to create the first One World Order, One World Religion and One World Currency. Guess what? The Luciferians are at it again? Wanna know what Nimrod's name means? It means "mighty hunter before the Lord" or "mighty hunter rebelling against the Lord", he put himself before the Lord, which is the way of Satan.

Well of course, there has always been some aspect of "evil" against some aspect of "good" but seriously, who cares if they are Luciferian or not its just a religion. And what's so wrong with thinking your above some fictional charecter? If one believes something to be inferior that is not of this earth than that is ones belief. I for one definitely think that way, the laws and morals of man will always come before some fear of "sin" or divine punishment that holds no leverage here on Earth.

Well we know these things exist in our world, no one can be sure about the greater universe though.
I do believe in creation but not in the God/Devil or Heaven/Hell scenario, it just don't make sense.
Closest thing I can imagine to hell is going through your life causing more pain than good & being made to come back till you learn to be a decent human being.

songs about satan and evil stuff are hardly new, to the OP you must never have listened to any death metal or the like. though, to be fair i do want to smack the people who tell me death metal is "satan worshiping" music haha. i just felt like throwing my two cents in, because i have heard plenty of songs about the devil, satan or whatever you feel like calling him.
