According to RedPuma, Turkey & Honoshu are shaking today. There have already been hundreds of injuries in Honoshu from the quakes yesterday, so this may only add to that.

HAARP is seriously cranking up today... this is highly unusual, as most HAARP activity is during the week, with very little during the weekend (HAARP operators apparently get the weekends off).

Yellow Knife is really kicking it, but all of the great North is on fire at the moment.

Just looking at the world-wide siesmic page you all refer too, its astounding the accurance of siesmic activity that happened today. Is it just me or is this thing as coordinated as I think it is...?

Nah, it isn't just you.
Now, I'm not going to speculate on how drunk you may or may not be, but there's been a lot of quakes today.

If I'm following you here, it's not that one quake shook the whole planet. A lot of the USGS seismos are grouped by geographic region, so a decent-sized tremor will register to a degree on all those graphs.
Unless you look at the enlarged graphs (clicking on the small ones on the USGS site), the distortion from shrinking the images will make it look like everything is shaking at exactly the same time.
But, keep in mind that the USGS site is just another to add to our list of manipulated data. Take what you see there with a healthy grain of salt.

I am a theorist not a geoligist, however, and not that it matters, my sister has a Dr's. in geology, so rocks run in my blood.
At any rate a thought occured to me last night while I awaited sleep to come and I hoped you could provide some insight.
It is about the nature of ice as opposed to the nature of earth.
As seismic activity courses thru earth to sensors a certain amount of energy is absorbed by sand, mud, soft formations etc... Am I correct so far?
But if you were drilling in ice there are no other mediums around to absorb the seismic waves, are there?
Also another thought I have here. Is it even possible for ice to experience earthqukes or simply be affected like a stucture woul be?

Before I launch into an answer for you, please keep in mind my degree is in petroleum geology, and I had one lone course in seismology, long ago, so I am NOT a true seismologist.

However, yes, P and S waves (seismic waves) do propogate differently through hard and soft mediums, and behave differently depending on the specific vibrational conductance and density of the medium. I cannot give you much more of a run down on the properties of the different seismic waves in different mediums without looking it up in my old text book.

Yes, ice should and to my knowledge does conduct seismic waves (although it may and likely does have different conductance properties for P and S waves. I do not know off the top of my head how it differs from propogating through different rocks though).

I do find it interesting that this "drilling" activity has been in progress now for over 20 hours straight...

Well if it's 20 hours straight it ain't no drilling rig, it would have to stop and make connections and circulate. I'm sure you'd still have to circulate ice out, probably with air. And you would see a drilling break lasting at least 5 minutes for every connection under those sub zero conditions. My money is on the tunnel theory.
Does that seismic chart your studying give you a depth analysis?
That would be interesting.

BTW the answer to your other question is no. Actually I received a phone call on Friday informing me that I was now officially retired and written confirmation would soon follow as well as benefits. Far freak'in out, maybe now I can get a life while I can still breath.
