It seems that there is an open season on Muslims and anti-Muslim propaganda and acceptance of Muslim bashing in the USA, UK, Israel. This is exactly how hitler operated, he scapegoated a group of people which led to the holocaust which is EXACTLY what is happening right now.

Go to any of the major news websites and look at their comments (eg CNN, MSNBC, daily mail, telegraph.co, fox news), calling people ragheads or towel heads is a form of freedom of speech yet you do anything else listed you are quickly labeled.

Do you think there would be a lot more outrage if there was any other ethnicity on this effigy in NYC?:

I think the vast majority of people realise that.

On the other hand, how can we stop a minority of radical Western Muslims fighting for al-Qaeda which causes a small minority of people to wrongly tar all Muslims with the same brush?

Yet most people killed by Muslim radicals are not Westerners, but rather other Muslims.

You are argubaly doing the vast majority of Muslims, who are moderate, a grave dis-service by maintaining that Muslim extremists don't exist.

They do. The ground is crawling with them in places like Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia and Nigeria.

The more I think about how this OP has taken something positive, liberty to speak, and twisted it like some ugly pretzel into a negative...

You can't legislate or write laws to make people think certain things. And for that truth, I am forever grateful. people will like and dislike in spite of what you or anyone else thinks. If someone doesn't like a certain religion or country, it won't be affected by laws that choke their ability to speak.

It will only strengthen their views and resolve.

I'm Turkish and I don't like muslims very much, if not hate them. Most of you already know but I want to warn you guys, don't fall for their traps whatever they may say. They might talk about respect, peace, democracy etc but the cold hard truth is far from it.

According to a muslim, Quran is above all the other wordly way of thinking, be it conscience, ethics, tolerance, respect, democracy, etc. They can easily perform any monstrous act on grounds of Quran's statements. Just as they burnt alive my people some 18 years ago in Turkey (www.youtube.com...). Thousands of nuts were shouting 'allahu akbar' while burning down the hotel with people inside it, thinking that they were infidels. It lasted for hours and everyone including government, military, and police watched it, just as I had to watch it live on tv as a child wthout being able to do anything to stop it

I'm not talking about middle ages, I'm talking about Turkey, 1993. 35 people whoose only fault was performing music on a social gathering. Burnt alive.

Secondly, muslims can easily lie about anything including their most sacred things. For example, when they are criticized for terror they'll claim that islam means peace. Actually, Islam means 'to surrender' and they dream about the day when the whole world will 'surrender' to islam. It has nothing to do with peace unless they are weak.

You guys will probably LOL but you can't be a muslim without explicitly lying in the first place. So, if you can't lie, you are not accepted. Why? Because the very first rule of islam is to speak the words that you witnessed Mohammed is the messenger of Allah. Anyone with a right mind knows what the word 'witness' means. Well, i didn't witness anything sorry.

I view this religion as an uncurable mental disease which takes away all your humane values and replaces them with Quran's statements. It is uncurable because you can't reason with them on any grounds since Quran is supposedly superior to any kind of wordly reasoning. So when faced a dilemma, a muslim has to choose Quran over ethics, conscience, tolerance, democracy, etc.

I have to live with them but you guys are lucky that you can live without them. But i'm still against violence against muslims. Better to leave them alone, chances are they'll start to kill each other for minor differences when they run out of 'infidel' victims.

Muslims, please don't argue or quote I won't answer. I spent lots and lots of time arguing about it with no avail. I'm living in a muslim country and i know you inside and out.
