I just came across an article which links dental fillings/root canals to cancer and death.

This is because teeth are dead meat in mouth forever.

They tried putting dead teeth in rabbits and all rabbits died!

Also people who had cancer had root canals.

97% !

articles.mercola.com...

i urge everyone to spread this info and contact your government official and don't take no for a answer.

Also the police should be contacted and dentists arrested for endangerment to life with intent.

I am not going to click that link - This is way too scary to think about - I hope it's another crap theory, and has no sound basis/no proof -
I know a few people who've had root canal work, geez, I wish I hadn't clicked on this post -

You could say 97% of cancer patients wore blue jeans, or drank coffee. I'm not saying fillings are good because they contain mercury, but most people have had fillings so this is not a definitive statistic. If most people had fillings, most people would die of cancer. Since that is not the case I'll remain skeptical.

Quote from the OP's source-

Dr. Price was able to transfer diseases harbored by humans to rabbits, by implanting fragments of root-canaled teeth, as mentioned above. He found that root canal fragments from a person who had suffered a heart attack, when implanted into a rabbit, would cause a heart attack in the rabbit within a few weeks.

I don't know about cancer or any other disease that might be caused by root canals BUT my experience with root canals was that once my troublesome root canal was removed my health generally improved dramatically, to the point that I have not had to visit a doctor for years and years now. However, the extraction was not straight forward. The wound refused to heal and remained dangerously infected. Finally, after three weeks of suffering the dentist took out his saw and under local anaesthetic sawed out the exposed and infected bone. He then stitched up the wound except for a small part and I began to improve, along with some more antibiotics.

Within days, my stomach troubles improved and my health generally became excellent. Was it the root canal? I don't know, but the fact that he had to saw out bone and told me I was very sick because of the root canal and the problems it had caused made me wonder. I have heard that these things are very dangerous but people are 'trained' to believe the suit or uniform and there is little point in arguing with 'sheep'.

If you have a problem in your mouth you can end up with an infection. This can lead to all the problems you listed. Chances are it wasn't the actual root canal causing the problem, but an infection.

Yep, dentists are the only surgeons that leave dead tissue in the body. Very unhealthy.

Lucky for me, my only root canal was unnecessary because the tooth they did it on had no root. So I'm hoping there is no dead tissue there.

The link is probably correct, but on the flipside, people who have poor dental health, or no access to dental care have a MUCH shorter life expectancy. So, I suppose it is a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario. Do you want to die from malnutrition, infection, and respiratory problems, or do you want to die from cancer?

Gum Disease Increases Your Risk of Dying

Dr. Roizen cited a study that showed people with gingivitis and periodontitis have a 23 percent to 46 percent higher chance of dying than those who are free of this disease. Another study indicated that men under age 50, who have advanced periodontal disease, are 2.6 times more likely to die prematurely and three times more likely to die from heart disease than those who have healthy teeth and gums. Both studies considered other pertinent factors, such as smoking, alcohol, and overeating.

Dr. Roizen concluded that dental disease and tooth loss don’t just make you look older, they actually make you older. Indeed, periodontal disease can make our Real Age more than 3.4 years older. Conversely, the absence of periodontal diseases makes you 6.4 years younger than the median person. It is one thing to know that gum disease can increase the risk of many serious diseases but another to realize that it can actually shorten your life expectancy.
Gum Disease and Premature Death

Another noteworthy finding was that periodontal disease and poor oral hygiene were stronger indicators of premature death than of coronary heart disease. Young men who had a maximum oral hygiene index of 6 had a three to four times higher risk of dying sooner than those who had a hygiene index of 0 (0 indicating ideal oral hygiene and 6 poor oral hygiene). In addition, young men with periodontitis had a nearly threefold increased risk of dying from coronary heart disease and about a 50% increased risk of admission to a hospital for coronary heart disease.

The long-held belief that dental disease is a localized, minor disease of the gums and teeth has not withstood the test of time. The evidence supporting the role of dental disease in general health problems is conclusive. That alone is bad enough, but if gum disease is left unchecked, it can shorten life expectancy.

But there are always two sides to a coin and conversely if you eliminate gum disease you can expect to be healthier and live longer. Gum disease is not the only factor affecting your longevity but it is one of the easiest ones to deal with. The decision is yours.

They already found that the cancer link is to pickles. All terminal cancer patients have ingested pickles, the study I read determined that the cucumber when mixed with certain spices and vinegar caused the cucumber to change its molecular structure and that this process could possibly be the reason that pickles are so dangerous.

OMG i'm almost speachless... If this is true the dental industry has probably killed millions of people. We all keep talking about the healthcare industry needing an overhaul the dental industry is worse in my opinion. It's all about the money with these people.

My previous dentist intentionaly put in a filling he knew would cause me pain just so he could try and do a root canal later. When I told him I was getting a second opinion he got all defensive and said he wouldn't supply any other dentist with my x-rays. 3 dentists later I finally got an answer what the cause was. It was in fact the epoxe filling that was causing my tooth to contract and give me pain(this went on for almost 6 months). I DIDN"T need a root canal and for $100 and an old fashioned silver filling I was better, after dropping almost a grand with the first dentist.

No offence to any dentists reading this i'm sure most really care about there patients and if they are in pain. But my experience has showed me alot of dentists get into that career for the money not to help people. They could care less if there patient's are in pain...

Side note: I still get calls and emails from the first dentist telling me im overdue for a cleaning after I have told him 3 times he isn't my dentist anymore.

in 1986 i was hit with a plank at work under my jaw for the next year or so i spent dozens of hours at the dentist getting fillings and root treatments . i visited a dental surgeon who was horrified at the state of my mouth for a young bloke .he did an xray on my jaw and i left to go home just as i arrived home he called my house to get me back in . telling me i had something in my right nasal cavity he asked me had anything entered my body as it could migrate to other parts in time . i assured him that nothing came to mind and was informed that it might be pressing on a nerve when he operated to remove it i came awake half way through the op i knew his assistant quite well and she verified this as i thaught i had dreamed this .weeks later he told me that he removed something which he nor a lab could not identify .i never gave it much thaught till i heard he had commited suicide which i find strange as i knew the bloke quite well. i think more than a few people have reported this over the years i laugh at the term alien implants .but their is a lot of crazies about . ive just returned from the dentist my first visit in 20 + years i wont be getting that root canal after reading this then funny old world eh
