LOL! Man, it's been a while since there's been one of those silent, deadly ones cut here on the main.

My only suggestion would be to keep a close eye on your speedometer. That cop in the rearview isn't going to just write you a ticket for 1-mph over the speed limit!

Depends on whos LAWS mans /aliens /GOD or the CREATOR. Each deed to eliminate the criminal may increase criminal activity from the Higher ups point of views. interesting but its hard to trust the who would install these laws to be 100% balanced and fair.

Well it would definitely solve the population problem........ However the fact is that there are so many laws on the books that everyone would be executed because everyone, and I do mean everyone including cops, politicians, judges, children inadvertently break numerous laws everyday.

This has to be the absolute dumbest thread I have ever read on this site. And to think, the motto of ATS is "Deny Ignorance".

Good people are driven to commit crimes too, some even to survive in this world - Should they be punished by death as well? No, of course not.

We'd all love to see a crime free world but this idea just wouldn't do it. Every one will commit a crime, some serious, some not so serious, at some point or another.. simply murdering those who commit a crime would achieve nothing but creating a world with no people.

Nobody believes in him that he was innocent during the slain of the figure of Democracy as it is human nature to blame some neighbors for our heartaches. He was judged not by the rule of law but by the rule of the public opinion. Later on after more than two decades he was given pardon by the wife of the great Senator, Former President Corazon C. Aquino. He went back to the arms of his family and to his surprise that her daughter is already 21 years of age and he didn't witnessed her grew up or have her birthday debut.

If the bereaved wife, the daughters and son of the person killed can forgive why can't we?

Our era is very fortunate enough that our countries already have establish foreign relations wherein life of each individual is given an appropriate value. And all of us might agree that no matter our laws would be each of us is granted by our rights to life and the pursuit of happiness; that is a guarantee given to us by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Do we really think that it would be right to award a death sentence of every mistake that we are going to commit?
Simply jaywalking? or improper waste disposal? and I'm bound to be dead? It would not be humanitarian for us. Tough a person may be guilty, he is still entitled to the due process of the law. Why not instead of pushing for death of your neighbors try to make an innovation on how to uplift the morals of this world? I'm not an educator and never a preacher but history has already shown us bitterness and sorrow on the fall and failure of mankind. Why can't we learn them and teach it to our posterity so that there would still be a promise of bright tomorrow not think of the best initiative to come mankind to its demise?

"An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth." That was the principle of "Lex Stalliones" in the ancient times which speaks of due process for our ancestors. Justice thus exist way back then where this civilization was never been imagined to come to life but now do we have to go back on that hunting and fishing stage of our history? Liberate your mind! This is still a beautiful world. A happy place to live! Live yours for tomorrow we may not have a chance again.Think back my friend.

Slandering the Government and or the Laws in place with intent to over throw or subvert said laws in place is or could be viewed as TERRORISM. Terrorism is punishable by death and with out trial by law right now with out any changes needed.

So, if we don't, we must be idiots and criminals. OK, I'll bite. What about the man whose family is starving? Is he executed for stealing food? The child who steals a candy bar on a dare. Gonna run a few thousand volts through them? How 'bout this, we take all the speeders caught in one day, line them up on the highway at rush hour and open up with automatic weapons. That'll be a hell of a deterrent, right? Let the other drivers join in, that'll defer the cost of ammo. Great idea!

Crime-free planet is absolutely not worth it if the means to do so include death penalty for minor crimes.

You are GREATLY overestimating the amount of harm criminal activity actually does.

And most importantly, killing someone for a minor crime is in itself a major crime. So your ideology is self-defeating, as the consequence would be a substantial INCREASE in criminal activity.

If OP were 'Commander in Chief', I'd have been killed about 50 times today; downloaded some music illegally, went over the speed limit illegally, and I went outside with a BB gun to try and take care of the woodpecker that keeps destroying my house.....illegally.

i think a society can best be measured by how we treat our weakest people. whether they be criminals, murders, sex crimes or jay walking, doesn't really matter since we the people consider ourselves just in what we do with them.

instead of pouring resources into finding out why they do these things we treat them like animals and say, serves them right!! until we can begin to care about even our less desirable citizens we can never start caring about anyone. living in a fear based hippocratic society, will be our ultimate downfall.
