(possibly) WHY THEY DID IT:

A personal testimonial from a Ron Paul supporter within the GOP:

My brother, a delegate chair, met with the Secretary of the Caucus of his town. This was a few days ago.
The Secretary and my brother talked about delegate information for about 15 minutes. As they were talking, a gentleman walked in, pulled up a chair, and sat down.
The Secretary introduced the man to my brother. My brother recognized the man....he holds a high office in the GOP in my brother's county.
After some small chit chat....this is the conversation that took place......keep in mind....neither the Secretary nor the GOP official knew that my brother was a Paul supporter.......

GOP Official: So, you're the guy who's going to be collecting delegates huh?

Brother: That's Right.

GOP Official: You know they're really worried about the state convention.

Brother: What do you mean?

GOP Official: You know, that they're going to hijack this thing.

Brother: What do you mean hijack? What are you talking about?

GOP Official: You know, the Ron Paul People. They're going to hijack the convention.

Brother: Really?

GOP Official. Yea...We're very concerned. They can hijack the state convention, and win the whole thing.

Brother: Wow...Really? You're that concerned huh?

GOP Official: Oh yeah. They have me setting up other caucuses in the smaller towns to get the delegates.

Brother: Is that possible? The deadline is February 11th.
They're going to announce the tally.

GOP Official: It has nothing to do with the straw poll. We're not going to add them to the tally, its about getting delegates. You know, it has nothing to do with the straw polls right? It's all about the delegates. You know, I've been to all the Caucuses in the county and Ron Paul dominated them all....hands down.

Brother: Even the other caucus...in the next town over?

GOP Official: Yeah...I went to all of them. I talked to the Councilman. I know Ron Paul won the entire county.

Brother: Wow.
(then there was some more idle chit chat)

GOP Official: We need to do this to prevent the Paul supporters from hijacking the state convention. You know, they're going to increase security.

Brother: What are you expecting? You think they're going to riot?

GOP Official: No, not concerned about that. It's just that, you know, that Ron Paul people are very vocal.

Brother: I don't get it then...why the security? As long as they're being respectful, isn't it good to engage in dialogue?

GOP Official: Well, it's just they can be very vocal.
(GOP official then started talking about bylaws at the convention...but he kind of trailed off...and didn't finish his thoughts.)

The GOP official then started asking my brother personal questions.
GOP Official: Jim, I remember you from the Caucus.

Brother: Yeah...I remember you too.
The GOP official then looked out the window and saw my brother's car.

GOP Official: Jim, is that your car? The grey one? The one with the Ron Paul sticker?

Brother: Yes it is!

GOP Official: Wait, are you telling me that you are a Ron Paul supporter?

Brother: Yes I am!
The GOP Official then looked at the Secretary. They stared at each other for a few seconds. And then he looked down at the floor. Then there was silence...for about a minute.
The GOP Official then looked at my brother and said...
" You know, I don't have anything against Ron Paul or anything. It's just that his supporters, you know....
My brother then defended Paul supporters by saying that they are respectful, civil and totally engaged in the process. And that's what you want.
GOP Official...Well, its his views on the drug laws....

Brother: The war on drugs...the way it's set up...is not working. I have kids who can score drugs right around the block in this town. Why are you afraid to look at another philosophy?
The GOP official did not answer the question.
My brother then received a text from his wife...who was not feeling well. He told then GOP official and the Secretary that he had to leave. He wished them both a good day...and left.

This just shows how corrupt the GOP is.

Not a big surprise really.

I suggest you all send this to the MSM outlets and to the official Paul campaign.

It seems that the GOP all across this nation is showing their hands, even if they are not doing it intentionally.

With all this new information we have from threads like yours and similar threads, I think it is safe to say that the voting process in America can and will be compromised to suit the will of those in power!

This is going to be a very interesting election. I hope that the people in charge put their political bias' aside and let the process run unmolested. I doubt that will happen though.

It doesn't surprise me, the GOP has been doing everything in it's power to thwart Paul. Too bad your brother didn't get this recorded, but I can understand an impromptu meeting is hard to get on record. My state has it's primary in a month, so I'll be watching it extremely close for this sort of shenanigans. Unfortunately my state (Ohio) is also the one that threw the last couple elections and ground zero for voter fraud.

From what I personally know and experienced with the GOP and those that work on the inside...this is nothing new...just the same old tricks.

I hope you guys know that many Ron Paul supporters from 2008 have joined the local GOP (through ballot access and/or caucus access) and that is the only reason why we are getting the scoop and a (somewhat) head start on these things.

Good thing the Ron Paul campaign adapts quickly and has supporters/volunteers on hand who adapt just as well.

Not saying the other campaigns don't adapt well but they certainly don't have volunteer support like Ron Paul does.

p.s. I am personally working to get into the GOP as well in my local area...expect my personal testimonials as well.

I believe it, they are scrambling. Paul is winning the delegates and needs a state victory to gain legitimacy. I don't see it being allowed to happen.

Their supporters are too vocal? Since when was that against the law?

Don't get me wrong guys...what they're doing is disgusting but it is a good thing.

They are exposing themselves left and right and it just propels people like us to dig deeper into, exposing their cons, learning their rules and using it against them.

The more people exposed to these cons and games, the more that will be angry enough to do something about it.

The GOP is done.

I agree it's a good thing, BUT it can only really be a good thing if things like this are leaked to the public. The problem is, the MSM won't cover it. It's a dilemma because the only people who know about it are Paul supporters.

Edit: And the Obamanauts are loving every minute of it, they aren't about to expose anything.

The GOP is in fact CORRUPT to the core.

How anyone can support them, or vote any of them into office is truly sad. The interests of the SUPER wealthy of the world are the only ones who they have in mind. Everything else that they claim are only BIG FAT LIES to get your vote. Their ACTIONS REVEAL their interests TIME AND TIME AGAIN.

Wake the HELL up CONservatives. These bums are NOT for you and I unless you are part of the SUPER wealthy clan.

And even if you are in that super wealthy clan, how can you sleep at night favoring a party of devils who steal from the hardest working middle-class Americans just to fill your already FAT POCKETS with more cash. The greed and lack of conscience of some is OVERWHELMING to say the least.

Oh, good Lord. People we have a responsibility to report this stuff, maturely. Don't email news outlets by yelling things. Don't call them bad names. Because they won't report it. Just send it to them with calm meaning.

Is there audio of this? Or just hearsay? The news won't report it if there is not proof.

And to all the trolls saying Ron Paul has no support and nobody wants him as president. If that were true, the GOP wouldn't be working overtime in a panic to prevent him from winning.

They'd be kicking their legs up, enjoying a beer, watching sports at home.

Any positive Ron Paul news (like the possibility of winning Maine) sends Outkast into a panic like the GOP. Gotta hustle harder...every time Ron Paul gains an inch, you guys sht a hundred bricks.

By the way, I worked in the ground in Nevada...we did identify that many Ron Paul voters (albeit some were identified incorrectly) it is the power of the Ron Paul campaign's phone from home program, obviously getting the turnout is another issue.

Is ATS a microcosm of the Republican Party? It sure looks like it. Just like those party officials, who really were not looking to boost a particular candidate, they can be included in that next largest class of candidate activists. Republican voters, like most ATS members, don't vocally support a favorite candidate at this time and will likely go along with the consensus of voters when the time comes. The smallest group, about 5% that are vocal at this time, are outwardly supporting Obama combined with those supporting any of several of the GOP hopefuls. The largest group, likely over 80%, are openly vocal for Ron Paul. The next largest group, estimated about 10-15%, openly support no one but are quite vocally NON-Paul!!
