Cairo (AsiaNews / Agencies) - The radical Muslims are trying to empty a village near Alexandria of its Coptic population - 62 families, on the basis of unfounded allegations against a Copt. The Copts of Kobry-el-Sharbat (el-Amerya) were attacked on Jan. 27 by a crowd of some three thousand Muslims led by Salafi leaders who set fire to the Copts houses and shops. The violence were sparked by the allegations of a barber Muslim Toemah, who claimed that a Coptic tailor of 34, Samy Mourad Guirgis, had "illegal" photos of a Muslim woman on his cell phone. Mourad has denied the charges, and turned himself in to police in fear of his life. The Muslims set fire to his house and his shop, and his whole family was forced to leave the village. Mourad is still under police custody.

The attack continued until the early hours of Monday morning, August 8. One Copt was murdered and homes were looted and torched when Muslims from Nazlet Faragallah together with Muslims from four neighboring villages started their violence at approximately 8 PM, after breaking their Ramadan fast.

According to eyewitnesses, thousands of Muslims entered the village from all sides, firing automatic weapons (mostly in the air), looting and throwing Molotov Cocktails at several homes. "They even destroyed our irrigation pumps," said one witness.

May these events call all authentic Christians to prayer in behalf of our brothers and sisters in Egypt.

Clearly this is another example of the beliefs and practices of a significant percentage of the Muslims toward wiping Christianity off the planet.

Wherever and whenever such folks are convinced that they have the numbers, firepower, political power, public concensus sufficient to remove Christians from their geographies, they move to so remove them. Civil rights, human rights, personal rights and property do not matter at that point.

Cruelty becomes the order of the day.

The globalists are happy to use such forces and practices because it helps 'REMOVE THE OLD ORDER' and particularly the 'old religions' even though, in a sense, it puts a more barbaric and older form of religion in its place.

Perhaps the globalists logically believe that it will be easier to morph that form of religion into the ultimate GREAT TRIBULATION one world religion of overtly worshiping satan.

In any case, prayer support, emotional support and whatever other kind of support we can extend to our Copt brothers and sisters is well warranted, imho.

I think its sad that the mainstream media almost does not mention this it all. Not to mention atrocities like this happening all over Africa toward Christians. Good job to raise awareness on this

Certainly 100% generalizations are likely to be flawed 99.99999999999% of the time.

However, no one on this thread has asserted 100% of all self-labeled Muslims to be supportive of violence.

Perhaps you would benefit from researching the percentages fair-mindedly.

I've read/heard a range of from 3% to 70% The more convincing was 70%

There's also some Pew Research org evidence, IIRC of around 30-50%

Of course it depends on one's definitions.

I believe the 70% was from 13 polled high ranking Imam's from around the world.

The definition was:

What percentage of all Muslims support violent Jihad by:

1. participating actively in it
2. funding it
3. providing safe houses for it
4. providing children for it
5. providing public, political, social support for it
6. providing philosophical/religious justification for it in their conversations etc.

They take out the piece of the population that is the christian.
They take out the piece of the population that is the jew

After those piece's are removed they then divide themselves again between sunni and shiite
The the one with greater numbers remove the smaller piece

I agree, I have a friend over there who runs an all girl orphanage, and he says Christian missionaries are responsible for many children's deaths, using the excuse they are witches. Pot calling the kettle black, if you ask me.

this is totaly crazy , egypt relies on its tourism industry almost 100 % for its income .
when i was last there 2 years ago , an egyptian shop keeper asked me why are the english not comming here as much as they did .
i told him that the economy was bad in europe at the moment and people were having to be careful with their money .
so if these so called purges continue , no one will be visiting and their economy will grind to a halt .
they suffered badly when the tourists stopped visiting after the terrorist attacks on the train and the attack at the valley of the kings .

Christians, Muslims and Jews all seem to love being persecuted. I think Judaism and the religions that are offshoots of it have always had a disturbing victim/self-righteous/vengeful/inferiority/superiority complex.

That is a cultural thing, it happens that certain culture when adopting religions beliefs seem to mix the two, kinda like voodoo,


When Christianity was young, the mixture of Christianity and pagan beliefs intertwined, still to this day.
