Hello. Yes, I have read through all 18 pages.......

I've waited for some of the churning feeding frenzy to die down .... no doubt it has become clear, by now, that sometimes a very richly-written "Intro" post can act as chum in the water.....and it can take a person a while to get their sea legs, and become better oriented.

I also have suffered some abuse here, by a few of the ATS "community". And, I'm barely only one-half your age!

Mentioning here (to all) that as I post this it is 1548 on the West Coast of the USA (or, "3:48 PM" PST). I see that our gentleman OP last posted only a few hours before this, just before Noon, local Pacific Time (his residence Time Zone).

How about a little respect?? And patience?

Hey AT!

Welcome! I hope you enjoy sifting through ATS! I certainly have!

I personally, am looking forward to engaging with you about many topics, but especially looking forward to your views on UFO and other worldly technology.

Can't wait.......bring it on!

Cheers mate.

P.S. Please don't be put off by some peoples views on here. We are all different and have different views (some more extreme than others)..........sit back and enjoy.

I like how we're like tracking down where he lives, and like what he must be doing if hes not on ATS, and how hes on here to play games. Man I just go on ATS when I get bored, I don't have like a schedule or anything. I don't think ATS is the proper site to look for "proof" either. I mean if you were doing a research paper you wouldn't have ATS as one of your resources. This is also an INTRO thread pertaining to his introduction, he introduced himself with his sort of life's resume to give background information. I can't imagine someone going through all the time and effort of putting up something fake like this for nothing.

Sir, welcome to ATS. I look forward to your posts.

A long and dignified life like your's should be celebrated. I hope everyone here on ATS treats you with the respect that you deserve. I certainly will. I was raised to respect my elders and you are one of the few here who I can call my elder.

I hope that I can face the end of my journey as bravely as you are. I will be saddened when you leave us. However I will listen to what you have to say with baited breath until then. Thank you for joining us and sharing what you know with us.

I feel very privileged to to be able to hear what you have to tell us.

Welcome to ATS
growing up my dad took me to the American Legion so he could drink (he was an alcoholic lol) but i loved going there because of all the stories I've heard the old war vets talk about. Some where war stories they didn't particularly like to tell and some where just stories from times long past, either way i loved them all. I look forward to hearing about the wonderful life you have lived. I tip my hat to you sir for all the things you have seen come and go during your long lifetime

Dear Alonzo,

Welcome to ATS!

I have not fully read through everything that has been posted but I sympathise fully with some of the treatment you have experienced at the hands of some of the ATS members.

ATS is, in many ways, a great place to spend time as there is plenty to read and digest, much of which has great merit. On the downside, I have also found it be quite a hostile place too. There is not a thread on here that I have read that does not have posts calling the original poster a liar (in so many words) to just outright insulting them in some manner or another. The issue is especially prevalent in sensitive subjects such as religion, 911 etc but I fear also when it comes potential 'whistleblowers'. I realise from your introduction that in fact you do not make such grandiose claims as to be such a person, just merely a person with experiences you wish to share and I, for one, look forward to reading your future posts.

It's a shame in some respects that you have had your credability called into question, before you have even had a chance to share said experiences but I hope that this does not deter you and indeed, I hope it gives you some idea of some of the reactions you are likely to get.

My advice, for what little it is worth, is merely to ignore the negativity and focus on the positivity. There are plenty of people who will read your posts with interest and an open mind and those that are likely to attack would not believe you if you turned up at their house in an alien spaceship with ET himself; "the jackal always follows the Lion".

I would like to say how sorry I am to hear of your illness, it must be a difficult thing for you to endure;

Take care and thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself

God, ATS has made me so cynical
I would LOVE this guy to be real, we would have a feast on what he tells us, Trouble is, ive seen so many threads like this, OP makes huge claims, makes a few inaccuracies, takes a few pokes and then runs to the hills ( or in this case, zimmer frames it to the hills, sorry OP that was naughty)

.Although there is a point to be made in that this was in the Intro forum, and OP was just telling us about himself, HOWEVER, if one makes claims like that, one really should expect the third degree.
Like i said, i hope hes real, but something smells fishy round here, and its not my fishfinger sandwich. If i am wrong, i will join the queue of people ready to apologise.

I don't need any evidence of who you are. The calmness of how you try to understand the skeptics tells me lots. I'm interested in some of you're knowledge. I have a few simple questions on things that aren't real specific so you can probably answer them without worry. I have studied all sorts of things for five years now and need some blanks filled in.
1)How much farther advanced are these government projects than what we are allowed to know? Like five to ten years?
2) Did you see things or work on projects that were so out of place advanced that they may have origins from an advanced race?
3) Did you work on anything that was used to create technology that you regret being part of it's creation. (Like Einsteins part in creating the atom bomb which taxed many countries citizens for decades and created much fear amongst regular people.)

Dear ATS Readers, and MR AlonzoTyper,

It is GREAT to see someone of your "experience" on the web!

My parents, (I am 56).. only had the landline phone, and NOTHING ELSE..lol.. my dad, rest his soul.. wasn't much for new technology..

My mom kinda was, she would mess around a bit on a computer, but it was uncomfortable for her.

Even IF you were not diagnosed with something terrible, at that dear tender age... no one would probably have long to be on this Earth... so many are gone MANY years sooner.

I hope and pray your health holds out a lot longer... and that you achieve posting status soon.. including chat priviledges.. many folks here would love to meet you I think..he he..

I know I would.... there is a wealth of knowledge and experience in our older members of society... a source often overlooked..and too often overlooked by their own family.. a shame really..

WELCOME

Pravdaseeker

Thank you for coming on this site and offereing to share some of your life's adventures with us. I am shocked at some of the "digs" you have suffered at the keys of ATS members; however, not overly surprised. These people eat their own babies. It is odd how they clammer for proof one day, and then sucker for some dipsy ideas the next. Why, there are many people on this site who disregard mountains of information concerning the success of the Apollo missions and quickly embrace half-baked theories derived from misinterpretations of photographs of varying clarity. Since they have no idea about the state of electronics and media in the 1960's, let alone the modern crap, they are ill-prepared to understand that crisp images were not possible from slow-scan lunar TV cameras.

At any rate, I'm going to attempt to get things going on the right track by asking some questions, which is what you originally said you would like to field. I'm also going to send you a "You-to-You" (U2U) message so that we could converse through private channels.

I'm only 62, yet I feel your pain regarding the ill temperment of the kids on this site.

So, when you saw those vehicles that seemed "other worldy" to you, how far away were they from where you observed them? Did they make any noise? Were they under obvious control of "humans"? Were they moving?

Did you know anyone who was involved in the Roswell incident?

OK, that should be a start.

Take heart, and just ignore the rabble.

Welcome honored sir
My grandfather was a fighter pilot in WWII and later was stationed in Okinawa He retired as a Major sometime between Korea and Vietnam. He is a Nonagenarian such as yourself. He's actually one of the healthiest family members if you can believe it. He still can do an 18-hole golf course with a cart, or an executive 9 walking. I'd wager you and he are of cut from the same cloth. There are Army Air Corp pt exercises that he does every morning for 20-30 minutes, followed by a mass intake of vitamins, hearty breakfast, etc.. and always always always a cocktail or 3 in the evening (he recently had to give up bourbon because it doesn't sit well anymore

Anyway, to this day, he will not tell me anything about the war. He never discusses it. I'm not sure if he's written it down in a diary, or just plain decided to leave it behind him. The only references I get about his flying are when he explains why he drives an automatic with two feet ( one on the gas, one on the break ). My other grandfather was a drill instructor, taught heavy artillery on the range, not sure where. He was enlisted but went on to OCS and left the Army later after attaining Captain. He left us 2 years ago at the age of 90. He didn't share much about that time either, other than the famous people he brushed elbows with, such as Danny Kaye and Bob Hope. I wonder if the silence is based on respect for the fallen, painful memories, or sworn secrecy.
I probably will never know. Any insight i could glean from you may help me better understand them.

I look forward to reading your posts.

Mr Typer, I have a thread going as we speak. My first one on ATS. All the people who are on my thread are just great. We have pictures of rock and "pertified water", furry beer barrels on sticks, dogs, discussions about dino-poop. All that good stuff. We will treat you with respect and maybe you will have some fun while you are there. All the people on the thread are more educated than I am.
Try "I have a piece of the rock" and use your 20 posts on us. I promise you we will be happy to welcome yo. We are waiting for information on my rock and the thread is about to die from loneliness.

Although I didn't read all 18 pages of this thread, I am going to call BS. 18 pages and no spooky stories yet? I doubt we'll ever hear any, either. I hope I'm wrong, but my gut is usually right about these things. Too bad.
