I understand what you're saying, and I didnt mean to post a resume so to speak. I just wanted to tell people a little about myself, and hopefully find people who may have similar experiences, or similar backgrounds.

I fully expected to garner some attention, I'm not shocked that most have a hard time picturing an old man willingly joining a website such as this. I also planned on elaborating on all the things I briefly summarized, however I would like to take the time to do it right, and give details as best I remember them.

I give my word that I will elaborate on the more interesting accounts, and will do so in due time. I also have finally given in to my family's request to have me sit and speak about my life while they video tape me. They want to be able to share some of the interesting things I've experienced with family after I'm gone.

At this time I have not made the decision to post these videos on here. If I do, I will require help from my grandkids. I dont even know where to start.

I'm hoping that would be proof enough for people to finally get past this intro phase?

Like I said in my previous post which is being ignored,,,,,,send us a picture of you at the computer with a shot of ATS in the background.Simple.If you can navigate the internet and set up on an account on this website then you shouldn't have a problem getting someone to take your picture and show us who you are.I also enjoyed the post where you used the terms "reality deniers and trolls".For someone to use those terms you'd have had to spent a lot of time on various internet forums and experienced those phrases and their use in certain context.Interesting.

I think you would agree that there's scrutiny, and then there's "I know this guy is full of it, so I'm going to skim his bio, google something, then call foul."

I mean, come on. The rudeness in this thread is overwhelming. Even your post, where you call attention to Mr. Typer's overarching reason for posting his resume, is rude in a fashion.

Of course he made those claims for a reason. It's his prerogative to disclose that reason in his own time. Unless, of course, you believe that the type of discourse we're trying to cultivate is when we call someone a liar because someone else uses his screen name, a literary reference, in CoD.

I'm certainly not above rudeness. I'm as weak of character as the next poster. This man, however, has done nothing to deserve any of our rudeness or contempt. It's also a welcome thread. A lot of you sound like the 8 year old who meets their moms friend for the first time and the first thing out of your mouth is "Wow, you're fat."

Why can't we just wait until he creates a thread on advances in Jet Propulsion before we get all nit-picky? At least then we'll have more to base a decision on other than context or complete fabrication. And if he never chooses to make that thread, then this is all a complete exercise in bad vibes anyway, isn't it?

Mr. Typer, please ignore the ill mannered. And don't post your picture either. Someone would just say the pixels don't line up and you shopped it anyway. If you're making this up, at the very least, you're an articulate person. If you aren't, there's a lot of us who'd like to hear your stories, even if they are more "garden variety" than John Lear would tell. I'd like to hear them, personally, even if they're false.

No, not because I'm gullible. Because this guy is infinitely more entertaining than the "I'm not a homophobe but I'm really a homophobe" threads and the "Look at this Extinct Mammoth...no it's not a bear eating a fish" junk.

Look at it this way....if you run him off because he said he was a Shriner, you can't run him off when he writes about anti-gravity. Think of the fun you'd miss!

I don't believe any of this.

Other anomalies - he said he returned from 'the war' which would have to be WWII - and he bought a used Model T car? In the late 1940s? This doesn't make sense.

This entire thing is full of holes.

My guess is that a *teen* wrote this. An older person would know the correct dates of WWII. And would also know that most Model T cars were in junk yards by the late 40s.

Hello Mr.(Ms.) Zinky,

I deleted most of the negativity except the Model-T remarks got my attention.
First he said he bought it for $50.
Pretty good deal for a 20 year old car, I'd say.
Wouldn't you?
That is the same as saying you could buy a 1992 Ford Mustang for $100, right?
I do not believe that all 1992 Mustangs are in the junk yard.
In fact I have seen a few here in the Middle East.

Now, if you want to buy a Ford Model-T you could shop here:

Ford Model-T's For Sale

So that statement regarding the junkyard scenario is called an argument from ignorance.
You gave no third alternative.

Anyway be nice to the guy, for now.

Give him a chance to at least write and start a thread and then be VERY skeptical.

73's,
Tom

I have chosen not to reveal my true name, due to the nature of the subject matter on this website, and because of the things I know...but you may call me Mr. Alonzo Typer. Fans of a certain H.P. Lovecraft, the greatest practioner of 20th century horror tales may recognize the alias I have chosen...

Great intro and welcome. You should consider using a proxy if/when you decide to post any sensitive info as not giving out your real name is def not enough. I look forward to your post.

Aside from all the skeptics, Mr. Alonzo, I actually do believe you and your claims. ATS members can be very trite at times, but there are some who are more open minded and are willing to believe even without proof (to an extent).

I know you're not asking people to believe you, and I respect that. I'd love to hear more of your stories and tales from your amazing life, and greatly look forward to reading your future posts. I send my love to you in your time of illness.

To the other members of ATS: Just give the man a chance! Why do so many of you instantly go into defense mode when someone brings up subject matter such as this? Are you really that hungry to disprove things that you say you want to know more about? This is your chance. How about we ask some constructive questions instead of verbally scalping him.

Much love,
OnewithAll

Ask and you shall receive. Through wonderful modern technology, I was able to activate the OP's wall clock, to his right, and because of my top secret higly classified training at the hands of supersecret black op's freemason men in black, I was able to turn the clock into a camera. I then pulled some McGyver out of my shorts, and telepathically communicated with this gentlemans cat, and trained it via mind control to build a transmitter in the clock.

I then tapped into the super secret network of satelites that only I and Obama know about and moved one into a position to pick up the signal the cat created and beamed the picture straight to my receiver deep in the Dulce base I frequent 6 months out of the year. The other 6 months I live at Area 52 (so much cooler than 51) and even fewer people know about it.

So, with that having been said - here is your picture of the 90 year old gentleman clicking away on ATS.

Enjoy.

Welcome to ATS, Mr. Typer.

If these be your amoung your last days on this mortal coil, I sincerely hope your experience here will be, at least, entertaining.

Having "cheated" death at least twice myself (in just over half your lifespan) I can well understand your lack of fear regarding "what comes next".

But, being a nosey old buttinsky, I'm too curious to, as of yet, actually welcome a chance to cash in my ticket.

Regarding your professional experience, I do have one, hopefully innocuous enough, question you might be able to answer.

And, in all seriousness, you truthful answer could well breathe life into a dream I, and others have been working toward for better than half my lifetime.

If you care to, you might want to consider other posts I've made and contributed to regarding "advanced" (an admittedly relative term in my case) aeronautics. I think you'll understand the purpose of my query.

Are you familiar with the term "Vacuum Cell"?

If so, do you know whether a practical application of this technology has yet to be "field tested"?

Or if perhaps a viable material has yet to be developed which could realistically lead to the construction of such a container?

Again, welcome to ATS, thank you for any info you might be able to provide, and I hope to see you post here for many years to come!

I never used those terms, and I dont know what you're referring to.

Do all members of this website have to go through a hazing period? Are all members required to post pictures of themselves? Have you posted yours? The whole point of creating an alias is to remain anonymous, sort of. I have given enough details already that if someone really wanted to track me down I have no doubt they could.

To the other poster who questioned the sale price of my first automobile, I believe you'll find the original cost of a Model T was somewhere around $200 and that was brand new. Is $50 unbelievable?

As I've stated before, I know the basics to use a computer, but taking pictures, getting them on to the computer is another matter. I already stated I have agreed to sit with my family and allow them to video tape me speaking, talking about my life.

I am considering eventually finding a way to get those videos on here. I cannot promise its going to occur today, or next week for that matter.

I'm an artist, maintain 2 web sites, have a vegetable garden, am up and running 12 to 14 hours a day, currently cutting down those abominable cherry laurels that have been taking over the yard (with my trusty bow saw). There is a lady who is, I think 85 who is a Federal Prosecutor.
Now then,
What is it that you young'uns want to know?

Hahahahahaaaa....to funny.Thanks dude.

Seriously though. Here's my angle on this.I've been on ATS for almost three years. My attitude is simple. It's not about stars its not about posts its not about flags.Any true member only posts when they feel the need to say something.Any true member will only create threads when they really need to show us something we haven't seen.I could not and would not ever create a thread just to string people along for my own goals.I have made a few threads in three years, mostly based on things that interest me.Sure my early threads were primitive and barely garnered any attention but so what. That's not why I'm here, just to get attention. If I had some huge secrets or new things others didn't I would create a thread that was full of all the facts I had at hand including sources, pictures videos and any other related material to back my claims before I even started a thread. If I was a ninety year old man who new things and I new my time was up, why would I be afraid to use my real name? Who cares , what are you afraid of? Your going to be gone soon anyway's.It just doesn't make any sense. If I had something to tell the world I would just do it.
To the poster who asked why we are skeptical? It's because of this very fact we've seen this game played so many times before.Simple.

MY ADVICE: Focus on the greater purpose you're trying to pursue and ignore the all small barbs. Simply focus on the story that you want to tell. Have courage and we shall succeed together. Promise.

Message me if you'd like any assistance! One of my book reviewers was a retired intelligence colonel who had some hair raising stories of his own, and I learned how to work with him very well (fyi--his father was Eisenhower's Chief of Staff in Europe).

Thank you very much for your consideration.

I hope that those who think what I have stated is so extraordinary will realize there are plenty of others out there, such as yourself who clearly have led interesting lives, and have met interesting people.

It really isnt that far fetched. If more kids nowadays would spend their time out of the house, doing, discussing, meeting, and adventuring, they would be amazed at the places this world will take you.

I can guarantee with all certainty that you will never have an exciting tale to tell by sitting in your house all day long, only corresponding with others through methods such as this!

Hi and welcome sir. There are always gonna be those that accuse people of telling untruths. Any slight mis-spelling or date mismatch they will be all over it. You know in this world you aint allowed to be 90 years old and articulate. Sorry to hear about your health. We look forward to hearing your experiences and only after getting to know you can any one judge you on your sincerity. Certainly quizzing you on an introduction is no way to greet you. As you said you will share your stories and I for one look forward to it. Peace to you and the family

I must say i am utterly appalled at some of the posts that are allowed to be on this persons introduction thread.... RIP?!?!? Did he die yet?!?!?! Are you freakin kidding me?

True to his word or not, hoaxer or not, those statements should never be allowed towards anyone. Yes this site has seen its fair share of hoaxers (ive been here for a little while) but what happened to the benefit of the doubt? Innocent until proven guilty? And the oh so lost "decorum" that this site used to promote so well. Very sad to say the least.

Welcome Mr.Typer. hopefully you will not be deterred by the nastiness that has become the norm. Enjoy the site and I look forward to reading some of the trials and tribulations of your long lived life. Secret or not, we can all learn from our elders. If its all fake, well then we shall soon learn the truth wont we. But until that time comes, benefit of the doubt is what ill be giving you.

My .02¢

Silver
