A logical fallacy that assumes that anything done or liked by a bad person must be bad itself.
The premise seems to be that bad people must have a way to tell if something is evil. Either that, or bad people are repulsed by anything that isn't at least as evil as they are. Whatever the reason, bad people magically will only associate with things that are bad. Therefore people claim a thing is bad because bad people associate with it.
This is a concept called The Association Fallacy, which often overlaps with Godwin's Law, due to how often Hitler is used for this.
We don't think mass murder is bad because Hitler, Stalin, or other bad people did them. We think those people are bad because they committed mass murder. In other words, this trope is backwards. A thing being bad stands on its own as bad. It would be like...
Bob: I want to commit genocide.
Alice: The Nazis committed genocide.
Bob: Really? What was I thinking? I can't believe I was going to do something the Nazis did.
Another thing about this thread is how some members condemn this guys for using the SS symbol while in the same breath deny the holocaust or throw around the term Zionist Jew.
So Chris Rodda, the man who wrote the article went online and started looking for this particular flag.
this is what he found.
In the course of searching, I found what I’m certain is the exact flag in the Marines’ photo. It’s the only one anywhere on the web with a blue background, and laying the image from the website on top of the Marines’ photo shows that every dimension of the flags are identical, from the size and proportions of every part of the logo to the slightly off-center position of the logo on the flag. You can even see in the Marines’ photo that their flag had the same creases from being folded as the flag for sale on the website.
The description of the flag on the website, Traders of the Lost Surplus, is an “ss double runic flag, a favorite and well know ss flag,” and the entire website is full of Nazi stuff.
compare the above picture to this one
and he might be on to something here.
As most of these flags are every where on the internet, we have decided to close
these out to make room for more of our 100% cotton flags!
All flags listed are now $7.50 each:
5 or more $7.00 each:
10 or more $6.50 each:
20 plus $6.00 each:
So tell me, where do you propose a Marine find the flag I showed you???

I propose that Marines get a new flag and stop using Nazi symbolism, it's not that expensive compared to the wars they maintain so I don't believe cost is an issue.

You don’t understand Marine Symbolism and it's not for YOU (or others) to decide what symbols Marines use, sir.
These are known NAZI symbols, right?
Now take a look at the Marine Sharpshooter badge. This badge has been worn by Marines on their uniform for a LONG time…before WWII.
How about the band KISS? Is there NAZI symbolism here?

There are no "SS" symbols on the pre ww2 badges, in case you didn't notice.
