First of all they didn't pose with the "Nazi SS" symbol, they posed with the "Scout Sniper" symbol. It isn't like this is new, the symbol has been used by snipers for years. Yes, it uses the same sig runes that were used by the Nazis, but it wasn't used with the intentions of supporting the Nazi regime. I fully believe anyone who thinks this spends too much time on the internet just looking for things to be pissed about.

Furthermore I wonder how many people who are offended by this are sitting at home with crosses on the wall, on a shelf, or maybe around their neck. For thousands of years people have murdered, raped, and pillaged while toting that symbol around.

And just on a sidenote unrelated to the OP I read earlier where someone said that Kiss was an acronym for "Knights in Satan's Service" Um, no... I love Kiss and have watched Gene & Paul themselves laugh about that one. While we are at it AC/DC also is not an acronym for "Anti Christ Devil Cult", and Richard Gere never had to get a hamster removed from his rectum lol.

Why is the SS any more significant to you than the German cross or Skull and crossed bones?

Uhmmm...the pic on the far left is a GERMAN CROSS with SS IN THE MIDDLE!!! You can't act like they aren't one in the same as far as symbolism!!

By 1943, Nazi leaders began turning the Hitler Youth into a military reserve to draw manpower which had been depleted due to tremendous military losses. By 1945, the Volkssturm was commonly drafting 12-year-old Hitler Youth members into its ranks. During the Battle of Berlin, Axmann's Hitler Youth formed a major part of the last line of German defense, and were reportedly among the fiercest fighters. Although the city commander, General Helmuth Weidling, ordered Axmann to disband the Hitler Youth combat formations; in the confusion, this order was never carried out. I wouldn't find the story quite as weak if I believed that those screaming the loudest were at least half as offended as they appear to be. God forbid passing up an excellent opportunity to portray US soldiers as evil baby-killing types, or evil Nazi baby-killing types in this case.
