Actually I'm am far from young. What amazes me is that the difference in maturity between a 30 year old and a 17 year old seems to vanish once the 17 year old turns 18. Well it doesn't, but laws are written so that the line is drawn somewhere but this may not apply in a particular case.

again, noone here is talking about a 17 and 18 year old. We are talking about adults and young children. Adults injected children. it is as much a violation as an adult coercing a child into sex. The child has NO way to know what to consent to. In fact, they are straight up coerced. An adult they trust is telling them that its ok to get the jab. so they do.

And really, if you think a 13 year old having sex with a 13 year old is ok, i pity your child.

what you need to understand is.

it isn't about wether or not your children feel comfortable telling you such things.

the thing is...

NOBODY should be able to do ANYTHING to your child without you KNOWING or CONSENTING to certain things.

Yes, I agree it is not correct to put in these implants without the parent's permission.

HOWEVER...

I imagine that WITH a parent's permission, these types of more reliable birth control methods would offer women of all ages, a better CHOICE.

A real choice I believe for women will be deciding WHEN not having to decide what to do IF.

Adults inject kids with drugs all the time for their health and the kids have no say if they want these vaccines, do you have a problem with that?

I don't think kids should be having sex, I blame the parents, but if the kids are doing it , which they are, shouldn't they be provided protection and birth control? Do we need more unwanted babies? How would you feel if the school was handing out condoms?

yes that was me and i stand by that opinion.
most 13 year olds (i know) aren't capable of overseeing the consequences of their decission at that point.
at that age something is either black or white, right or wrong, hot or cold.

Think you kids wouldn't have sex behind your back and keep things secret. I'm sure you're a great parent but what about the kids that don't have good parents and would keep it secret , shouldn't the option be there?

(but that wouldn't be the case because i know how to talk to kids)

I got you, and my only point is if the schools told the parents a lot of kids probably wouldn't take it and still have sex.

I would think that any investigation at all into who implemented this program would reveal a sordid life indeed. Perhaps even a personal reason that is being actively covered up. Local PI should dig.

This is wrong - plain and simple. There are social boundaries that state should be allowed to break only in extreme cases and relationship between parent and kid are those boundaries.
Unless parents are violent and abusive or worse (and those are extreme cases) , they are responsible for their kids and it is their and their child's decision. Medicating teens without not only approval but without knowledge of people who are ultimately responsible for them is unacceptable.
How about legal solutions to make it stop?
