Political leanings, creed, gender, race ... doesn't matter.

obviously a left wing jab and professor as most professors are, not all but most. I am a conservative, not a racist with a 140 IQ. Never thought of my self as a genius but I do not think I am an idiot. I have no doubt that those who propagated this so called study would have a complete opposite finding of me, a conservative.

Although from personal experience, almost all conservatives I know we're pretty much oblivious to the world around them if it doesn't concern exactly themselves. Short minded and rarely thinks thorough about others.

Being liberal is a curse of wanting everyone to be happy and being conservative is bliss trough ignorance.

It's easy to understand right-wings, it always has to do with individualism, greed and (selfish) liberty.
Although It's pretty much impossible to understand a left-wing for a right-wing, because they are not used to thinking about the people around them and how to make you AND them happy.

Right-wing thinking have it easy and they argue between each other much less, since individualism is much simpler then trying to think for everyone at the same time.

Failed science usually starts with trying to prove a pre-conceived notion.

Yes, many different types of intelligence, whether it be mechanical, spatial, analytical, creative, etc.

I think perhaps too, even the ability to play well with others.

Racism and all of it's attached isms seems to me, as has been pointed out by many other posts here, to cross most all boundries.

Well it doesn't take a genius to figure out that these kinds of people are a huge danger to modern society. I mean hate and fear for other people is something that should have been gotten rid of a long time ago.

Just to make sure I got it... A university in a left wing socialist country has concluded that people who would rather have small government are dumb. OK.. got it. You know, the term conservative means something different in Canada, or Australia, or England than it does here in America. Even if they are speaking to American conservatism, the fact that they, being the socialists that they are, are incapable of understanding the concept of natural law and God given liberty taking precedence over man created law, completely nullifies their results, because they are not intellectually qualified to conduct it. Just the fact that this study automatically groups racists and conservatives together as if they are one in the same is proof that the study was rigged from the start. Proof that YOU are an idiot lies in the fact that you are attempting to apply a Canadian study about the Canadian political spectrum to the American political spectrum. Canadian politics mirrors that of Europe with a few differences. American and European politics are both judged via a "left vs. right" paradigm, however the end result on both ends of the spectrum are different. In Canada/Europe the extreme ends of both sides ends in totalitarianism. On the left you have complete communism, and on the right you have complete fascism. In other words, you have Stalin and Hitler. Do you know what the difference is between a communist and a national socialist? Do you know why they hate each other, even though they advocate for almost identical philosophies? You probably don't... although my guess is that your pseudo-intellectual self would think that you do know. The fact is that American Progressivism aka Liberalism aka "Democracy" has provided far more racism to American history and culture than Republicans or conservatives ever have. Besides... a REAL conservative, not some fake ass neo-con like Romney, McCain, et al... is not capable of racism, because racism infringes upon individual freedom and liberty, and natural laws and rights, so for a true conservative to be racist is a paradox. I might be mistaken but I can't see anything here on the level of extreme right wing groups that go out actively seeking to beat up or murder non-whites.
In Europe we don't have those types of organisations, because radical leftists as I said before focus more on class. For the right wing things like ethnicity and race are vital factors.

think about what guys at nasa had to do back in their day to get a man on the moon then fast forward to today and look at the current nasa dudes in their inability to get us there again. i definitely agree with you MikeBoss and if i had to blame something it would definitely be technology and the fact that we let it do most if not all of our thinking.

But I hesitate to call another dumb, what is intelligence and how do you measure it?

This study was obviously done to create hatred, and division, and only those who already hate or are willing to will believe it.

A thought just occured to me.

I've been at certain facilities in the past that housed individuals with lower mental accuity. People of every stripe were housed there.
And yet, very little issue has ever come up regarding race.

Racism is an associative thought process.

When a person sees another person of a different race, the thought process is rather complex in that it has to reason and justify their hatred.

People of lower IQ's simply don't have that ability.

Maybe, just maybe, the smarter you are, the more propencity you have to become racist.

That is a very interesting thought , bee.

People spending more than 20 years in schools so they could call themselves scientists, then the best they can do is sorting people out in all kind of stereotypes, putting them in little boxes and applying them all kind of labels, those people are dumb. Just another form of racism.... "the whites are superior...the conservatives are dumb..."
People who need a "scientific" research to tell them what to think are dumb. But it's ok, we are already told what to wear, what to eat, what to want, what to believe in, what to live and die for. It's all good in this Brave New World....
