Sorry, April.. Your lawyers HAVE to pay the fine!

By Terry Baynes

Thu Feb 2, 2012 4:51pm EST

(Reuters) - A federal appeals court sanctioned two California lawyers on Thursday over a lawsuit they filed, dismissed as frivolous, that accused former officials in the Bush administration of allowing the September 11 Pentagon attack to occur as part of a broad conspiracy.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit ordered the two lawyers to pay $15,000 total in sanctions in addition to double an unspecified amount the government spent defending the case.

U.S. District Judge Denny Chin dismissed the case in 2010, ruling that the complaint was frivolous and a product of "cynical delusion and fantasy."

This does more to convince me of a conspiracy than anything else related to 9/11. That judge, obviously, is on the side of the conspirators.

In case anyone is interested in legal writing (and aren't we all?) Here's the clip from the decision:

Turning to the question of whether sanctions are appropriate against Gallop's attorneys, the record before us reflects that this team of lawyers “multiplie [d] the proceedings in [this] case unreasonably and vexatiously,” 28 U.S.C. § 1927 (“ § 1927”); see also Fed. R.App. P. 38 (“Rule 38”) (providing for sanctions where a court of appeals “determines that an appeal is frivolous”). See generally Gallop II, 645 F.3d at 520–22; Gallop I, 642 F.3d at 364–71; Appellants' Mem. Response. The record also reflects that Gallop's attorneys repeatedly and in bad faith accused the Court of bias, malice, and general impropriety. See, e.g., Appellants' Mem. Response at 7, 9, 17–18.
One of the things they taught us was "Don't piss off the judge."

Sybel Edmonds took her case all the way to the Supreme Court, where she was giving all of 2 minutes.

Before getting hit with , State Secret Privledge.
Just because a case is thrown out , does not mean its not a good case.

Wait, so the same government that staged 9/11 wont let anyone sue them in open court? No, surely this is a mistake. I would have expected the guilty party to be falling over themslves in an attempt to announce their guilt.

Laughing faces right back at you.

Without reading the responses, I knew right away it would be full of how the big bad gov't snuffed out the poor innocent April Gallop in the gigantic coverup of the sinister secret plot to take over the world. Never mind that she didn't have a microbe of proof to back up any of her claims. Never mind that her entire case was chock full of the exact same adolescent crap being posted here (I.E. all the eyewitnesses were secret agents, all the evidence was planted, etc). Never mind that the courts specifically told her lawyers not to waste their time with this nonsense and they did it anyway. Never mind that even most of the leading conspiracy mongors I.E. Richard Gage doesn't want to touch her "no plane hit the Pentagon" story. To them, she necessarily has to be right entirely because they insist the gov't is wrong. The possibility that the gov't could be responsible for some conspiracy AS WELL AS her being a loon is too alien for their mindless zealotry to even consider.

They're like the jury in "To Kill a Mockingbird" where they were given every testimony in the world why Tom Robinson was completely innocent, and yet they'll still mindlessly vote him guilty entirely because he was black. In the mind of the truthers, there lierally IS NO PROOF ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH that will ever convince them their conspiracy stories are rubbish. They will just continue to believe what they want to believe regardless of what has been shown to them.

Your right Dave, nothing you can say will change our minds.
We are a lost cause.

So save yourself Dave, free yourself from our delusions. You can leave the 911 forum and be free to know
you did your best.

Imagine going through all of the effort to become a CIA trainees, and then being embedded in, or infiltrating all manner of positions both in the government, and private sector in the metro DC area, biding your time silently, and awaiting further orders, living your life as a deep cover mole until "the farm" is just a faint memory. Then finally comes the call for the sleeper agents to wake up....

Here are your orders, 'go to work as usual today, and if anyone asks later, tell them you saw a plane hit the pentagon.' and then go back to your uneventful previous existence.'

The trouble with this line of argument is that you're using one thing (dismissal of case) as evidence of a conspiracy, while it is also consistent with the no conspiracy hypothesis.

Furthermore, if you would accept a successful civil suit based on the conspiracy theories as evidence of said conspiracies, then you have to also accept the dismissal of said case as evidence against, or you are merely praciticing sophistry.

In this case April Gallop sued American Airlines for injuries and distress caused by their Boeing crashing into the Pentagon but later, having obtained a settlement, decided to launch litigation on the basis that there never was a plane ! Some good case !

Dave belongs here. Always knows everything, not a bit of doubt, loaded with information to protect OS.
Just imagine for the moment, that everyone on ATS agreed that the OS is a lie. A newcomer may think that it is already a well established fact. This situation is not acceptable. The 9/11 debates will go forever. They cannot even stop, because some people have doubts anyway and may want to research more. Somebody has to mislead them, not only defending OS, but also providing debunkable conspiracy theories.

Now I know you've posted this to be cynical but all you're doing here is damaging your own truther movement. Unless you're wholeheartedly embracing drinking the conspiracy Kool-aid regardless of how idiotic the claim is...in which case you might as well just say the 9/11 attack was the work of UFOs...you will necessarily need at least *some* critical analysis into your claims. Whether you like it or not the Judicial concept of "the burden of proof is on the accuser" applies to you conspiracy people just as it does everyone else, and you can't expect to simply show up in court and throw a blizzard of accusations around and demand that others come forward to refute them, as Gallop's lawyers did. Just because you think the gov't is up to no good it doesn't mean you're obligated to swallow EVERY conspiracy claim circulating around the Internet, for exactly the same reason why acknowledging the attack was a genuine terrorist attack doesn't mean you're required to hang onto every with the gov't says. Don't you find it a tad ironic that I'm the supposed "secret disinformation agent sent to spy on you" here and I'm the one telling you that you need to think for yourself?

If you DO mindlessly believe any screwball conspiracy claim regardless of its credibility and you DO expect the rule of law to be suspended for your benefit, I have only one question- how much money have you shovelled out to those damned fool web sites, so far?

Dave, you may want to re-think your 'signature', because beside being responsible for the murder of Vince Foster, slick Willy also uttered the memorable words "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, ever!", and "That depends on what the definition of is, is." The whole system is corrupt and this why people like you who defend it, make me ill.

No you're not. Despite the "secret gov't dictatorship any day now" paranoia mongoring incessantly being thrown around, you have the right to free speech and you have the right to think or say whatever you want regardless of what I or anyone else says. Comparing the information side A provides with the information side B provides has always been the way how people can make an informed decisicion on who has credibility and who doesn't.

It's when you attempt to bring your fantasies kicking and screaming into reality and demand that everyone should force a square peg to fit into a round hole that you'll get slapped upside the head, as April Gallop's lawyers were. The judicial concept of "the burden of proof is on the accuser" applies to you truthers just as much as it applies to everyone else.

Thank you your (cough cough) concern, but I've thought about it and I'll keep it anyway. The fact is, there literally isn't anyone on the planet quoteworthy who doesn't have an ugly side, which of course the trollers with nothing better to do will find fault to nitpick about.

George Washington? He owned slaves.
John F. Kennedy? He was a womanizer
Winston Churchill? He was a racist
Abraham Lincoln? He suspended habias corpus
Mahatma Ghandi? He told the Jews in Nazi controlled Europe to lie down and let themselves die
Thomas Edison? He stole everything he knew about electricity from Nichola Tesla.
Mark Twain? He fought on the side of the Confederacy during the Civil war
Franklin Roosevelt? He made secret deals with organized crime during WWII
Earnest Hemmingway? He was a heavy drinker who committed suicide.

...and on and on and on. I will keep his signature, if you don't mind, as despite his faults I find his position to be much more lucid than THIS guy...

The truther movement is already damaged to a degree that whatever I do or say cannot make it worse.
I assure you that I did my homework on the event before I even knew ATS exists.I find 9/11 is the best conspiracy theory because:
- it is recent
- it had huge impact
- there were a lot of events, there is a lot of information
- the complexity of information is within my abilities to proceed it (unlike, for example, Aliens CTs)
- it shows general mechanism of planning, executing and following cover-up, so it makes then easier to understand the others, more complex CT.

I did not know that I had to pay money while doing the research, nobody asked.

Going to court with 9/11 case is a silly thing these days. Obviously in case if OS is true and also in case if it is inside job by some PTB that have control over media and American society overall.

You are not spying on me of course (maybe somebody else
), what I am saying that there are must be people on ATS protecting OS, and the government or whatever agency must take care of it. It is hard to imagine that there are quite a number of people with a strange hobby coming on ATS in 9/11 forum and protect OS, and this is their only activity on ATS, but it is really not important to know who exactly has this hobby and who does it as a job. It is enough to know that they are here and I am completely fine with that, because they are useful:
- they can give you official response to a question for free, without your own research, they have a common database of knowledge
- they expose some, even most, "truthers" wrong and misleading theories
- their own existence may finally give some clue to people, who is looking to understand the event, that THEY have very good control over the research of the event.
So I do not mind your existence, Dave, but I warn you that I may not answer to some of your or any other person with this strange hobby, let's call it in this way, because I am quite confident that you are not looking for information or answers here.

I do not think that I will participate in this topic long enough, it is time consuming and serves absolutely nothing. There is no way to cause some harm to these so called TPTB exposing 9/11.
I had some fun solving this case, but debating over it and "spreading the truth" is another thing that I am not good at it. Also I can see very few people here, who are like me in the past, who just wants to know what has happened. Most people just pushing their agenda and 9/11 forum has become just a place of psy-wars.

To compare Clinton to George Washington is disgraceful, but wait, everything you say is disgraceful, so I guess my original assumption was correct. Keep it. It just helps others realise who you represent.
