Sumerian Cuneiform translation help

Does anyone know of any resources where I can find how to translate an English phrase into ancient Sumerian? I would like to translate “It is better to be dead than average” into ancient Sumerian. I can't seem to find anything to that would help. Many thanks!

If you try to put your phrase more into concepts than words, you'll have an easier time trying to translate it.

But really, you're better off looking in a good textbook than online.

If you want to do this correctly, go to the ePSD the University of Pennsylvenia's Sumerian Dictionary project. You can email the Professors who are in charge of that project or play with the Sumerian Dictionary online. I have spent hours on it and found many interesting things about our religious roots merely by breaking down the Sumerian names of various gods and goddesses.

primitive languages don't usually have past tenses in the written form. That comes from the skill of a narrator
