There is no need to fill in the blank as far as I AM concerned...

I AM.......

In other words, I exist. There is no need for anything else.

I am... getting bored of these filling in the blank threads.

I blame the OP for a poor title. Oh, wait, I made the OP.

The actual point of the OP was not to fill in the blank; but to see that we do fill in the blank. And that we are not that. We are, I am. I am.

And that we don't come to the Father thru the cloaks that our I am wears; but rather through our I am(-ness).

I am (the way in) am I (the way out), a statement and a question, or the question and the answer, only when you can say 'I am' do you know the answer.

I know..this makes no sense lol

. . . video by Leonard Jacobson called "A Silent Mind" . . .

"All that I am, you are." That is what Mr. Jacobson says is what Jesus mean when he said, 'I am the way . . .'
I would think that what Jesus was thinking would be more like, 'I was like you and then God filled me with his spirit but could do that because my original self was another sort of being before I became one of you. Now by doing what I am doing, I am creating a pathway from God to you, so you will be able to have a similar experience.'

Here's a quote I saved for just such an occasion as this:

"Whom do men say that I, the Son of man, am?" Jesus asked His disciples on day (Matthew 16:13)

A twentieth-century wag, spoofing a modern theologian, has given the Gospel incident a new twist: "He said unto them, 'Whom do you say that I am?' and they replied, 'You are the eschatological manifestation of the ground of our being, the kerygma in which we find the ultimate expression of an interpersonal relationship.'

And Jesus answered and said unto them, 'What?'"

-from the Adventist Review, 12-01-1983

We fill in that blank many ways: with christian, atheist, mystic, enlightened, stubborn, open-minded, sinner, sinner saved by grace, etc. etc. But, what we fill in that blank with, is just a cloak that our I am wears. (cloaks include self, our persona, our story, our body).

Truth is truth...

With Love,

Your Brother

I don't you guys get the Jesus thing. If we take his word as truth, he explains through parables that he is the Father. Read the end of John. He is the truth and the light. He is the I Am.

If you read the gospels in this mind set it brings some incredible truths to surface while reading the rest of the book. One that Jesus is God. And two that Paul is the Devil.
