If there really is a terrorist threat to the US, and if Seals really did storm his compound and corner him in a room, why kill him? Surely he is a treasure trove of information. Why kill him?

I think it's time for me to drop out of this conversation. Nice talking with you.

You might be right. It could get really, really in-depth if we pursue that part of the debate, and I can't give away too much of my knowledge in one go-round.

Suffice to say, when the last several major terrorist stories hit the news, my buddies in the FBI were laughing at them. If there was any credible threat to the US, something would have happened by now. We are very vulnerable in certain areas, and we do nothing to protect those, yet we spend millions on activities in airports that do nothing but give an illusion of security.

Smoke bombs in SUV's with no potential for explosion and underwear on fire are not a threat to national security.

You know...I seem to remember a certain candidate promising all of this change for our country and not keeping most of those promises!!! What makes you think Ron Paul can keep those promises?

In my opinion Ron Paul will be worse than Obama. If it were up to Ron Paul VS Obama I would actually choose Obama. Why? Obama has a good hold on at least the dems in office. Ron Paul does not have a good hold on anybody. Nobody but a handful of people will listen to him in the White House. He will be the greatest divider making Obama look like Reagan!!!! (that's a joke btw) He will be attacked on all sides of the media.

However a ron paul vs obama or a ron paul vs anybody is not what this thread is asking.

If Ron Paul ever overcame the nonsense being spewed by those like you and the media who feed the sheeple, he would have a mandate from the American People that wouldn't be denied.

I'd vote for Newt. For one thing he's not a lawyer. He knows history. I don't care about his supposed ethics violations and I don't care how much money he makes or even how he makes it. If he gets the nomination he's got my vote. Mitt Romney is a Mormon, the founder of his religion was a con man, who roamed the woods outside Palmyra, NY looking for buried treasure. I don't think I could vote for the man.

Between the two of them I see Romney being the same old hat. Nothing changes. I believe newt would make this country much worse then it currently is. Newt truly scares me, the man is a liar , a sociopath and the epitome of an out of touch Washington insider.

If I was FORCED I would pick Romney. In all reality I won't vote for either of them. I'd vote for Paul but he want get the nomination so I'll probably not vote.

Neither. God blesses a nation that honors Him. God's grace is off our
country, have you noticed?

Mitt is not Christian and Newt is a gun for hire.

I gave you many stars for at least trying to have a thread that isn't overwhelmed by Paulites. It is a simple enough question that unfortanatly atracted the Trolls.
Ron Paul fans are the worst thing about his campain they do more harm than good. I was on the fence but they insisted on pushing me to the other side with there badgering

I would Vote Newt over Mitt. There are just to many things I do not like about Mitt he trys to act like one of the middle class and has even said it but the man makes 76,000 dollars a day and only pays 13.9% in tax on it to top that off he earns that just in interest. He doesn't even have to work for it. Newt has personal baggage but I just do not care. Some of our better Presidents screwed around JFK anyone. Newt isn't perfect but I like him better than Mitt.

If Mitt wins and it is him VS Obama. I can't say at this point but I will not write in anyone that would be just like not voting at all.

Thank you for actually taking the time to read the thread and think like a practical human being for once. Thank you for keeping score too! And for leaving ron paul out of that score. Ron Paul hasn't won a single state yet, and he isn't trying very hard to win any others.

It's not so much his sexual life, but his pretending to be some pure of heart candidate and committing all of these immoral/frowned upon acts. Basically, it comes down to a matter of trust and respect; can you trust, let alone respect, a man who abandons his wife of 18 years, after she gets diagnosed with cancer, to marry a woman whom he had been cheating on his wife with? It is disgusting behavior; a morally sound person would not do such a thing.

Aside from this, he also tries to preach about upholding the sanctity of marriage; he has no right to oppose gay marriage on the grounds of ruining its sanctity because his actions show that HE does not uphold the sanctity of marriage in his own life.

"Do as I say, not as I do."
Not exactly leadership material.

Ron Paul is the only candidate I would bother voting for, any other vote is wasted. Actually, I might vote for Obama over Newt/Romney, simply because I know what I'm getting with Obama, while Newt/Romney could be a potential train wreck for our nation. I know things are bad now, but what if Newt/Romney manage to make them worse with their retarded "plans for America," which include false promises which they make in each state to win the votes of unthinking idiots?

Not to mention I'm opposed to the wars which Newt and Gingrich have promised us will come if they are elected.

I think watching this election unfold has made me lose what was left of my faith in the American people. They all seem too dumbfounded and preoccupied with petty problems to see the disaster scenario unfolding before their very eyes. If people had any desire to actually change things in this country, they would vote for Ron Paul; however, the election of Paul would result in full-blown revolution, which is almost always a bad thing. Though perhaps not as bad as what is to come if we don't steer off of our current path.

To sum it up, Newt and Romney are both morally bankrupt, Santorum is brain-rupt, Obama is a pompous, do-no-wrong failure of a "leader," Ron Paul is intelligent, yet electing him would bring radical changes which many people may not desire, and the American people are, in mass, ignorant and arrogant.

The reason Ron Paul doesn't seem to be too excited about trying to win states is, I believe, that he is more interested in spreading his ideology. I also believe that riding out the storm plays a major part in his campaign. If you've watched the debates lately, they have consisted of Newt and Romney bickering over stupid things and tearing each other apart, while Santorum vomits gibberish at every chance he gets to speak. The only intelligent, straight-speaking man out of the bunch seems to be Paul; the other candidates tend to agree with him on many stances, probably because they want to gain his support once he drops out of the race.

The only thing Paul really needs to do is make enough sense in his debates for more people to agree with him and join his cause; he does not need to expend money attacking Gingrich or Romney because they are attacking themselves. Santorum isn't a threat whatsoever, either, so why spend the money instead of saving it for when it's just Paul and Romney/Newt left on the ballot.

Paul's influence and his growing supporter base will make or break the election; many people are fed up with the way that things are being run and are becoming disillusioned with the lies and propaganda. These people tend to flock to Ron Paul because he is a voice of reason amidst a chorus of nonsense.

If he runs third party it will be disastrous for the GOP; their best bet, if they are serious about winning the election, is to make Paul the nominee. Why? Because he can pull in many independents, and some center-field/rational-minded democrats. On top of this, people who are fed up with Obama will vote against him just to remove him from office, thus uniting behind Paul. Romney/Gingrich, on the other hand, are pretty repulsive and cannot pull in the independent/moderate democratic vote.

Regardless of whether he gets the nomination or not, Paul's voice and his message have been heard, and they will revolutionize our future.

Some of the responses to this Thread are by people that happen to be Misinformed .This is a two man race between Romney and Paul. Santorum and Gingrich are not on the ballot for 500 Delegates worth of States. They are not, and will not be on the Ballot in other States besides just Virginia. They have no grassroots support and virtually "Zero" ground game. They cannot win the Nomination. Do the research and you will see that reality......

Sorry, I tried to find this information myself without success. Do you have a list of which candidates will be on the primary ballots of which states? And how many delegates each could win?

The List is not complete yet , but so far this is what's Known.........

If I were left with only Newt or Mitt for the Republicans, I would probably vote for Obama.

I saw a bumpersticker: I'd rather have Obama break his promises than have the Republicans keep theirs.

If not Ron Paul, then it doesn't matter who you vote for. You'll just be voting for a Newtobamitt with the face of your choosing. I wouldn't even be able to decide which Newtobamitt would make the best looking president. But I have to say the Newtobamitt with the slicked back dark hair looks pretty slimy, so would suit the look of Used Car Salesm.....I mean corrupt politician best. If the U.S. is going to continue to go to hell in a hand basket the next puppet might as well best look the part, eh?
