Newt or Mitt who would you vote for if it came down to those two for the nomination?

LoL. Newt or Mitt and Obama. Really don't care in that scenario and will once again write in the town drunk. Harvey Stevens could do more for this country than all of these three combined. Honestly I really do not care between those choices.

Personally, I couldn't support either of them. They're all a bunch of liars and don't have anything to offer the working class a damn thing except more empty promises. Aside from their homogenized platforms, I have personal and ethical issues with both Newt and Mitt. After reading about mitt placing his crated family dog tied to the top of a car for a 12 hour drive I was physically ill. After Newts cold hearted treatment of his sick wife and then his provacative statements regarding his idea to make poor children work as janitors in their schools... Good grief! The pundits claim it's all a strategy to goad the democrats is ludicrous even if they're correct. The fact that he would even let those words cross his lips did it for me.

Once again, the election will come down to voting for the lesser of two evils instead of voting for someone who is actually worthy and could actually bring this country together. Sadly, they are ALL promoting class warfare, whether it be loud and proud or on the down low... The bottom line is these suit puppets are bought and sold like commodities to further the NWO agenda. It doesn't matter what party they're affiliated with... The rich will continue to protect the rich, and the rest of us peon slaves foot the bill.

Until we break out of the iron grip this bs two party system has over our country, we will continue to cosign our own slavery and the slavery of our children, grandchildren, etc.

What will it take for us Americans to break the cycle? It's sad but with the apathy I see daily, I see our demise in the very near future. It's going to take a major event, a global paradigm shift, of which I'm not optimistic that we will ever see happen.

Things don't have to be like this if we could just stop letting TPTB divide us... But mostly we have to put aside our petty differences and stop deviding ourselves. I think out this often on nights I can't sleep, trying to come up with ideas on how we could turn things around. I haven't come up with anything solid, be ause there are just too many people who are either clueless, apathetic, or probably most commonly too caught up in just surviving day to day in their own lives to be bothered with the big picture. I'm not blaming them as I know how hard times are right now.

It just seems like people are set in their ways and are unwilling to participate in the system anymore. They attack others and post their opinions which obviously show that we have a long way to becoming a united human race. The obsession with wealth and money, and the stereotypes placed on those who are the "have-nots." This is dangerous as the gap seems to be widening at a fever pitch.

Why vote for the lesser of two evils when you can vote for the most evil of all?

LOVE IT!

But seriously, if America is going for Newt then the world is doomed, the guy is Bush 2.0. His heart may be in the right place but his head isn't and strangely he does represent America today, as do all the other candidates.

if I had to vote for one of these two candidates my vote goes towards newt gingrich and for one reason and that reason alone and that is his speech on the future of space exploration and exploitation and the creation of a manned permanent moon base by 2020.
space is the only future for mankind no matter where they life what they do what ever religion collor or other difference there is between us humans on this planet.

Saying little Newt is "not perfect" is a gross understatement. He is repulsive...gag a magot repulsive, imo.

But to the question at hand, "Newt or Mitt who would you vote for?" I believe I'd stay home and watch the current puppet be re-elected. Really, what difference do you think it would make? Look at Obama and how his policies are parallel to George W Bush's.

So the choice becomes do you want a liberal tyrant or a conservative tyrant? As for me, I plan to prepare for tyranny, regardless of the "flavor" it may take

Ummm......If you take away O-bomb-us...teleprompter and his bluetooth, the man could'nt debate himself.........Newt would own him when it comes to substance......That being said..........

I would just "Write in" Ron Paul anyway.........................next question!

have a physically violent reaction when I am again given a choice between Romney or Gingrich or Obama for that matter. If those are the choices Bud, me and mine will soon be leaving.

This is the message that should be shouted to the GOP from the rooftops!! The GOP cannot possibly win if they put up some entrenched company man as their nominee. People will just not vote. Even if Ron Paul doesn't run on a 3rd Party ticket, his supporters will either write him in, or just stay home. The Conservatives, Independents, Libertarians, Tea Partiers, are not going to vote for whoever the nominee is, just because they use terroristic tactics and tell us we must vote for them or else face 4 more years of Obama. Fine, give us 4 more years, we've been prepping, we can withstand the hard times, but can everyone else?

The turnout for Obama will be record breaking! The turnout for a typical GOPer will be blah. They can only win if they put up someone exciting and unique like Paul.

Once again, a very good well thought out answer. We think a like my friend. And you being in the military obviously know more than some of these people who claim to "know" how the world works. That's the problem with conspiracy theorists they think they know everything if they dig up certain dirt and make weird connections to things.

I was the same way before the primaries I actually supported Paul, for about a month. Then he started saying some things that I feel were crazy and the paulites were released into the wild. My time on ATS actually impacted my vote for paul, as in writing him off!

But now, since the competition is CLEARLY Mitt VS Newt, this is why I asked the question at hand. People who don't think one of those two will get the nomination are seriously brainwashed! I'll be happy to vote for either one of them. My hand might shake if I had to vote for Paul, but I'll still do it. It'll never happen tho

Ron Paul babe!!! I would never vote for the lesser of two evils! So I wouldn't vote at all if RP isnt on the ballot!

Of the two I would lean towards Newt. It would be nice if Newt asked Ron Paul to be VP and let Ron run the economy. And yes close a bunch of over sea's bases. Mitt is a NWO pattsy and his story changes everytime he sticks his finger in the air.
For those in here that state they will not vote, well yes the lesser of two evil's is never good but if you don't vote then you can't complain. First we have to get rid of the disaster we have now as POTUS, then try to dig our way out of this hole. Voting is the only path to correction.

Well if I couldn't vote for Ron Paul, I wouldn't vote at all.

Most of us here see that Newt and Romney are complete windbags that do not portray any sort of ethical governance at all. They are willing to lie and distort their past in order to make the prolls vote for them!

Not trying to be mean, but how can anyone believe the crap that they say? Are people actually that gullible?

The Republican party has a rude awakening coming to them on election day! If RP is not the nominee, many Republicans will stay home. Thus providing Obama a second term.

It's sad to say that I would rather see Obama win again......than Newt, Romney or Santorum sitting in the oval office and I will no longer vote party lines, for the sake of the party.

Did you not read the title, or the original post?

Further more, why would you want a president who looks like a frail little bobblehead figure. His policies are good, but he honestly would make us the laughing stock of the world. He would be another Jimmy Carter.

Newt or Mitt? Hmmm, a vile, overweight white guy with a chip on his shoulder and a barnacle on his banana, or an elitist, flip flopper, who will say whatever happens to be the flavor of the week in order to get elected.

I suppose I'd just flip a coin, say a prayer, and start packing.

Thank you for the optimism!!!

In what country do you reside? Unless you're living in a state of flux, aimlessly floating through space, YOU're just as doomed.

Good day Sir!

Newt is on record as describing himself as a Progressive and being a big fan of FDR and Woodrow WIllson.
No thanks.
Newt couldn't even honor his own marital vows or wife. Why should I assume he can honor the office and vows of POTUS?

While I don't agree with Romney on much, he has a bulletproof character and has the least time in political office which makes him the least tainted in that regard. I'll vote for him.

President Obama.
I wish I could leave that as my only reply, but I don't want to leave a one-liner.
That's like asking whether you'd rather have left your eye plucked out, or your right eye.......
