What a minute. To hell with that. The president MUST appear in the court of law when summoned , or he pretty much automatically loses ... making him ineligible to run for presidency , or making him have to deal with an appeal , which is even MORE of tax payer money.

I am not a person infatuated with much law , besides military law. That is pretty much the only law i know and of course NATO regulations.

You must be kidding. The hearing was this morning. The Judge hasn't even made a ruling yet. What are you calling a hoax? Just because our Judicial system isn't as fast and short and your texting doesn't mean it's a hoax....

Exactly this -- the whole thing has been vetted by the RNC the DNC the Clintons - probably the Koch Bros - if there were something to the Birther issue - the big money would have found it - the only champions for the cause is the World Nut Daily and a clown of an attorney. Taking the stand and testifying was hilarious. This judge has made him a laughing stock in the legal community, (yes I am in Georgia and close enough to hear the laughter)

Article II Section I of the United States Constitution states: No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

When reading this line one might perceive it as saying that a citizen can hold the office as President as long as they are 35 years old and have been a resident of the United States for 14 years. Barack Obama has been a resident of the United States for well over 14 years, even if he was in fact, born in another country. I personally do not support Barack Obama and his efforts but according to the Constitution, I believe he is eligible to hold office.

The part that you underlined? That was only put in to allow the forefathers that wrote the Constitution to allow themselves, the ones at the adoption of the Constitution, to be allowed to be made President.

Obviously, there was no way they could have been Naturally Born, having just come from Britain and having just written the Constitution.

The preceeding part about Naturally Born Citizen refers to everyone else except the forefathers.

I read somewhere, and no time to find it now, that Obama had til Feb 5th to file a response. I think we may perhaps have to wait till the 5th. We shall see.
