My only question is, in some of these videos........what exactly are they videoing before the sounds start. Some start their videos after the sounds are heard. But the ones where they are videotaping a street light? Why?

That is how you know which ones are faked.

Because you see a video, and he is filming nothing, and then all of a sudden the sounds start. How did he know the sounds will start, unless he produces them?

The only ones I would consider not being fake are those where they are filming something completely different and then these sounds are caught on tape by accident.

Person sounds very scared, and goes outside while sound continues.
No birds, sounds similar but not exactly the same...

That's not far from where I live! Last week too and I missed it. Well it's 12:30 am now, maybe I'll take a drive out ...

This one very easy to debunk (as many other stupid skysound hoax videos):
If you listen to it with headphones, you will clearly hear that the "skysound" is a STEREO sound file while the camera sound is MONO. Busted!

Really? Good work then. Keep the fakes out of the equation please.

So my hometown will live to see another day huh? lol!!

It should be kept in mind that t IS very easy to fake these things. What we need to see is corroborative reports from multiple witnesses - preferably with news reports too.

Interesting Tarifa - thanks!

It seems to me, after putting aside all the fakes, that there seems to be a genuine phenomenon occurring here. We have a few news reports with multiple witnesses and government responses (Battleford, Sooke etc) The question is: what is it?

I think we can say with some confidence what it ISN'T:

There is less than zero evidence of God imo, so I think we can safely rule out 'The Second coming' etc - no matter what extremists would like people to believe.

It's not seismic in nature, as the recent occurrence in Victoria/Sooke seems to prove.

For me, that leaves us with two distinct possibilities:

1. It's a natural phenomenon of some kind, (solar storms? 'sounds' of space suddenly becoming audible) - but my question is this: If natural, can't we assume that like most things in nature, it's a reoccurring phenomenon? And if so, why are there no written records of previous incidents over the last 5 thousand years or so? We have plenty of global written records over this period of history that have been translated - why no mention of these sounds?

2. As far as I can surmise, and I have personal experiences that back me up, we are being visited by other civilizations, so are they trying to tell us something? And if so, what? Astronomers now admit that there are literally millions of earth-like planets out there - and surely many thousands of them are inhabited by some sort of advanced cultures, so I don't think this is a long shot by any means.

Anyhow, those are my thoughts for the day.

Here's an interesting analysis of some of the sounds we have been hearing.

Worth a look I feel, as if some of these are fakes, we need to know.

Here's a couple of interesting ones. The German one is particularly interesting, as the witnesses pets seem to be reacting to the sound too...

I think it's fairly safe to say that the trumpet sounding ones from movies like "War of the Worlds" and "Red State" are totally fake...The video everyone is passing around on ATS with the guy debunking those by pointing out the same bird sounds and grinding sounds etc really does eliminate these types of videos as hoaxes..

With that said, some of the other rumbling sounds (Stealthycat made a great thread with her video) and ones like this one (from tarfia) seem pretty genuine to me. I think the next step is to filter out all the trumpet ones from this point on. People are hoaxing those all over the place (and not even doing a good job at it!) and it's really annoying. This was always my beef with UFO videos as well, idiots can't stop hoaxing so it really hinders from doing the research on the real stuff.

The second video in the above post is what I'm talking about. Let's not even pay attention to those ones anymore as they are clearly hoaxed!

Sorry to hear about your trauma! As I said, I dont wish on any one to hear these
sounds...they are too eerie.

I sincerely hope your recovered, and what ever is going on, at least the noises
seem to be isolated from people being harmed.

Take care, and keep us posted!

LoL!

I do wish this could be debunked because it's starting to freak me out! Maybe it's the "Blair Witch" like quality of the videos. :@@

Yeah, it sounds like a snowplow, because that’s exactly what it is.
Listen between the scrapping noises, and you’ll hear the beeping of the backup indicator.

Oh, yeah that one, totally you can hear it beeping.

Many hoax thrown in to the bunch by now.

However, you would think somehow that someway that
expert professer would know about snow plow sounds eh?

I mean, for heavens sake the Professer is from Canada where it snows,
and those plows operate heavily in the winters, what since the beginning of time there.

I wonder why he goes to such elaborate lenghts to blame it on the radiation belts,
and the aurora? And oh, l lets not forget the antennea.

I was talking about the listed video, and I am sure that many of the others are the same thing. The noise of snow scrapping is going to carry at night over long distances.

BTW, this professor guy is talking about sound that is caused by inductance. Sort of like when you place your mobile phone next to a speaker and it makes funny noises when it searches for the cell site. He is not talking about a literal antenna making the noise, but rather any natural formation that can act like an antenna, and make noise due to lines of flux cutting across it.

about a literal antenna making the noise,

Yes, see back in the pages of the thread, we covered this all in detail.
Of course there are NO antennae.

Somehow you may have missed that.
