So right, so right!

I hope you think this post will be as important as it should be to everyone who is all up in a bunch over the fact that Google is not asking us if they can crawl up our computers bum! They are just telling us about it now and asking nicely so we will think we ever actually had an option! We are now and have always been monitored online. I fix infected computers as a side-line and can't even begin to explain how anti-virus companies are THE biggest scam EVER and how dangerous the continued "internet monitoring" are to all of us in this day and age.

Google or no Google...if you are plugged in, or have any wi-fi network access at ALL you are absolutely, completely and perfectly vulnerable! They (www's spy clubs) will do whatever they want, whenever they want and you will have NO idea! They always have folks- they always will!

Imagine where the world would be today if Hitler had Google kissing his bum!

If you want to be completely and 100% safe online...find a library that will let you online without a library card #! Then sign-in as a guest with a fake name! Seriously! Got a webcam on your computer? I'd put some tape over it. Got a mic? Unplug it or disable it. (Disabling your mic through your computers settings may not even stick, they may just sneak in and turn it on as they please!) I am so not joking!

The gears in the web's machines are a lot bigger than people realize. Computer programming is a complicated business issue and the people who are running THAT show ~ I dunno folks, they are pretty flipping smart for earthlings! My how we have we have evolved so quickly!

Anyways...

Shooting Obama in the head will not get you a "Free Laptop" it will record your IP adress and ship the name associated with it down the conveyor belt of hell. Those of you who claim you have nothing to hide?
If you post to this website...you have everything to hide!

The only way out is to follow the directions in this Youtube Vid
And even this is no promise ~
Prepare for the worst and hope for the best ~ and goodness help us all!

I, personally will not be using DataLiberation.org or any other service to retrieve phonebook, addresses, ect for the simple fact I do not need to.

If your life is that enthralled in Google then you might as well keep using them and buy stock in the company!

DataLiberation.org what a joke!

Very nicely put, I cant believe so many people are complaining. At least they are telling you this will take affect. Im in IT and in networking and TRUST me google isn't the only one using your info. I have used google since the beginning and not once had spam or phone calls or mail or hacked. If you are so worried about google then use M$. Im sure they dont store your data right...... The internet is never safe and if you are worried about something then dont use it...google or not. Your ISP has all your info and its on the internet somewhere trust me you just have to know how to get it.

Android is Linux. Or a fork of it anyway. It's also open source in legal terms but Google being Google they have their own special definition of what open source means...

Google it you'll see what I mean

Wow I hope this is a joke.. And to think Google just sent me an email thanking me for participating to stop SOPA, and now they are doing this..? Wow, if this does indeed come to pass I will definitely be canceling my gmail account.

I'm really not surprised at all. They are just making their policies official as required. Just consider Google Earth as a confirmation as to who they really are; with all the data, directions and especially the street views (around the world) this is not a small number of people with a great web tool. This is a major agency with many, many resources and multiple governments cooperating!!!!! All done in what seems to be a relatively short time period. Lots and lots of vehicles, people, and most importantly....funds.

Give it serious thought.

A few months back, my Hotmail account got caught up in that brute force email hack ~ Remember that? From what I came to understand, that was a dress rehearsal for what's to come.

For crying out loud...I was sending Viagra ads to everyone on my contact list. Including all my kids teachers!
That was tough to explain! Not to mention I spread that virus to everyone on my list. The phone rang off the hook for 2 weeks with everyone asking me to get rid of the virus I had spread. What I found when I went digging through my own registry was a helluva lot more scary than a Viagra ad! I wrote some posts on BleepingComputer about if anyone is interested, let me know. The only way out of that one was to back-up their data and nuke their drive. That is if they had a legite OS or their computer was still under warranty. If not...

But yeah, absolutly, it's not just google everyone! It's ALL of them! The internet had one grand purpose from the day's of "You've got Mail" and that plan has been building momentum faster than a snowball down Sasquatche's A$$.

If anyone is interested, the next time Window's wants to update...try to find out just WHAT it wants to update and why! Think you will everyone? Have you ever? Do you even know when it happens? Would you know what you were looking at even if you did? Please understand folks, I'm not trying to be condensending, I'm just trying to make everyone understand how unbelievably easy this process has been, for this very reason!

This is how a well greased machine works!

Are we really sure that Google is not already doing this?
I watch the load feature on Firefox as I hit many web sites, and I have been surprised for more than a year a link that is loaded that says: google.analytics

So whats the answer to this?

how to we get google to stop this crap?
they want the rule the cyber world.. hell they already do.

i also find it quite hypocritical that they protested PIPA and SOPA
just to later add their own privacy invading provisions
that hypothetically could be more effective than PIPA and SOPA

Hide or scramble your IP ~ and I wouldn't even call that an answer.

I think a new thread is in need for that question.
I am a newbie however and can't start threads yet so maybe Maestrow could start it up.
You sound like you know your stuff man.

Whadaya say?

Even if you hide the IP no matter it can still be linked to your MAC which cant be changed. They know where you're logged in, what state, what house. You cant hide from the internet. Its funny cause everyone wants to cancel google, might as well cancel yahoo, aol, netflix, charter, etc.

Its Like Drugs

Just say no lol.

Do you really really really need an smart phone?

To be honest and I find it strange the ONLY time I go near google is searching on ATS lol, as its the inbuilt search provider (never happy about that change SO and amigos you had a very good in house one before, better actually much better)

Everyone has the choice to say no.

Also if you go here you might be interested? Play Googles Game Back on Them

Just say no is the choice.

If not well its your choice if you want an potential totalitarian government anywhere in the world in 30 years time getting emails from accounts youve forgotton about maybe slagging them off before you 30 years later go and visit.

There are many many many Lists.

New ones are being created all the time.

Some not very nice people have these lists.

Its your choice which ones you go on.

You can just say no lol.

Love

Elf

I see that there is either a high level of ignorance or a high level of immaturity here on ATS never seen before since I have joined in 1999 so I choose not to start threads for that reason.

Second, I am on ATS seasonally for after March 15th, 2012 I am back on vacation and am headed to Ocean Crest, Florida for 8 1/2 months to resume business on Jan 17th.

Can't.

Not until I post 5 more times. Even still. This is what I'm saying, there really is no easy way out. I suppose you could say, we all walked into a glass trap. Knowingly or not, makes no difference. Here we are. So I'm with Elf. I figured my names probably been "listed" for the past 20 years I've been working on computers.

Sooo....we come to it then. Are we all awake now?

I say, I'm either going to go dig an underground bunker 100 feet underground and drink my own pi$$, or keep on typing folks, hoping I can make a difference before the real SHTF and maybe in some way, I will have helped somehow and ...well, I absolutely believe in karma. Maybe one day this will all be worth every single keystroke, and the one person I helped to understand the reality that is "the internet" Well ...maybe will save me and my kids, in some way.

What way? >shrug<
Heck man, I don't know. But I think anyone who doesn't think that something terrible in this country or on this planet is coming is just plain too scared to open their eyes.

My son Cody just helped me explain it like this....
"It's sort of like the The minister for magic, Cornelius Fudge in Harry Potter. He was too afraid to admit Voldemort had returned and it made him insane." THAT is an explanation from my 10 year old son.
Gotta love him!

Alright, I'm outa here folks, I got homework to help out with.
The best of peace, love and luck to you all!

Really?

That is though just perspective eh?

Beliefs and Values?

Are yours better than anyone elses?

Is the 1% perspective more important than the 99%?

Because you seem very attached to Money Success etc and see it as "growing" I am sure you can get your butler to maybe drive you round in your most expensive car, and walk the walk, rather than have to completely include self praise, and your perspective of why Google is good because it wants to control, use and fleece its customers and is no 1 etc.... whilst just talking hollow talk on here?

What growth besides bigger bank balance, bigger time of, bigger meals have you achieved please share, I always encourage and praise real growth.

Has your Love, tolerance and compassion Grown?

Have you had the biggest growth possible as an Human by actually reducing your ego, and the belief that you are better or different from every other human being on the planet?
But that is just my perspective and I am not saying it is right or wrong, that's the thing about how we view the world, its subjective....

I suppose the way to see the real place of truth and growth and what view is right is by listening to the majority?

The 99%?

Do you know the cultural history behind the Guillotine?

Not one of those beheaded with it could of got even close to have the "skill set" to make one......

Kind Regards

Elf
