30k American soldiers are stopping 1 million North Korean soldiers?

The "presence" of 30k troops,is stopping 1 million North Korean soldiers. For 50+ years.

America walks away, and the North would most likely attack. Its the vacuum of the US leaving.

Its the most protected area for Americas Foreign Interest.

I understand where you're coming from and how you can believe we are past the point of no return. But here's my thing, I believe we should strive to give our children a better America and for that matter a better world and every day we occupy some foreign land this becomes less of a probability. I think our main point of disagreement is that you are thinking short-term and I am thinking long-term. Short-term we can depress the people wanting to harm us, but long-term we've created more of a threat. Just hit a reset buttons of sorts and leave everyone alone, if they mess with us they are done.

Also, for you to ask if Ron Paul has the courage the "hit the button" while at the same time defending that coward Gingrich is sick.

While completely ignoring the overwhelming evidence that North Korea is a threat maybe not to the US mainland but Billions of dollars with of business that this country relies on.

Ah.. so we should protect South Korea for free so we can protect our erm ... business assets in the country? Because you know, we couldn't live without our Korean TV's, Kias and smart phones.....

ok, ive been reading alot of this, and you keep saying that if we pull our troops out of other countrys it would make us weaker... now how does that work exactly? wouldn't bringing our troops back to OUR country make US stronger. how is leaving south Korea going to make OUR country weaker? how is South Korea getting invaded going to harm OUR country.

Korea, China and Japan, all....without a doubt despise you, me and this country. Do you not think if given the opportunity, they wouldn't take it? Do you not think Japan would not love to drop a bomb over DC? Have you ever been to the memorial in Hawaii Pearl Harbor? I have! Want to know what pissed me off the most, seeing Japanese there, not paying respects to the men and women that were killed as I was doing...they were there taking pictures because it was a great event in their history. They were proud of that monument because it was a monument of victory for their country. You are naive to believe these hypothetical events that would take place if RP magically won a term a president would not affect YOUR country. I would bet my house that within a month from leaving S Korea, N Korea would take over by whatever means they needed. I think that's pretty much agreed upon by anyone that's read or knows the history. Maybe the gentlemen above is correct in that S Koreans don't care and think N Korea is a big bully, but they are not at peace...they are at a truce a cease fire.

Look, my entire point of the thread was simple, I believe RP and his foreign policy is naive and ignorant, the golden rule i guess has been adopted here now.... I believe that it leaves our country vulnerable for attacks on our soil. I believe that patriots and americans in general, regardless if RP has other great policies and ideals which I also think he does and have stated so many times...but I believe all americans should demand that he change his outlook on foreign policy and adopt a more sincere and offensive stance than a defensive stance. ONLY because of our current status in the world and our steady decline into sh*t. I think RP would've been a great president back before WWII. That's all...that's my opinions on the man. Not that I'm a gingrich lover or romney lover.... I haven't decided because there's things I don't like about each one of the candidates and hopefully you feel the same way.... and I don't have the answer as to how we bring this country back to good....I honestly think we've passed the point of no-return and until we are able to be financially stable again, our military presence overseas is needed. We can blame whomever in the past for how it is today, but tomorrow is all i care about and I don't see how RP offers this country protection.....

Come now Rock we all know there is more to it than that. I like Dr Paul and agree with much that he has to say. What I'm saying is that the whole "Blanket" approach to foreign troops doesn't fly in the Real REAL world is all.

They sound great as campaign Slogans and Sound Bites.

I am just tired of hearing the nations people saying US leave, get out!! so ok we need to get out and then see how fast they say come back, come back!!!!

AND

If you're wrong it will cost the lives of Tens of thousands upwards to possibility Millions. Right now, on average there are one or two a year killed in the ONGOING Korean Conflict.

how ridiculous. It indeed does and would work...as it had for all of the 18th &19th century and half of the 20th ...you know...when europe was continuously at war and. There is zero need for boots anywhere in the world. The navy could literally wipe the floor with damn near any country in the world in 1 week time...if fully unleashed. The boots can come home anytime with zero repercussion (besides the economic impact those salaries have on those foreign economies of course
)

There is no Korean conflict.

The last time there was drama between North and South Korea, it was quashed by China.

You must believe Iran has nukes and wants to 'wipe Israel off the world map' lol. Throw America in there too, Iran wants to nuke us as well.

South korea is not a thrird world country with no defense and the argument by the OP is that WE...the USA will be endangered by the FP of RP....the argument is not other countries but you all keep acting as if these are our territories.

Get it straight...will his foreign policy weaken and endanger us or other countries?

And if you wake up anytime soon, you will see that the status quo is costing tens of thousands of lives....if not millions.

Pick an argument and stick with it. Stop changing it up.

And since the end of WW-II how many World Wars has the world seen?
You'll point out the history to support your supposition but wont acknowledge the context of how it was achieved.

Bad form
