Uproar after Jewish American newspaper publisher suggests Israel assassinate Barack Obama

Op-ed in Atlanta Jewish Times says the slaying of the president may be an effective way to thwart Iran's nuclear program.

NEW YORK - The owner and publisher of the Atlanta Jewish Times, Andrew Adler, has suggested that Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu consider ordering a Mossad hit team to assassinate U.S. President Barack Obama so that his successor will defend Israel against Iran.

Adler, who has since apologized for his article, listed three options for Israel to counter Iran’s nuclear weapons in an article published in his newspaper last Friday. The first is to launch a pre-emptive strike against Hamas and Hezbollah, the second is to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities and the third is to “give the go-ahead for U.S.-based Mossad agents to take out a president deemed unfriendly to Israel in order for the current vice president to take his place and forcefully dictate that the United States’ policy includes its helping the Jewish state obliterate its enemies.”

Although the whole article is rediculous, it was a hypothetical and Adler is'nt the first to think about it, he's also not the first to allow it to pass his lips or shall we say fingers on a keyboard quite openly; perhaps he's the first Jewish person to mention it - and suddenly everyone is jumping up and down? I've seen the idea as a hypothetical in numerous articles over the net in the past year. No one said anything then and I did'nt give the articles any thought either other than what they were - only hypotheticals.

May I also suggest there are prophecies out there that claim Obama being the 12th American President would be the last USA ever has. But then again there are others out there say the same for the next Pope and the next British King and so on.

What we DO know is it's not impossible there will either be a false flag attack on US soil, American assets on foreign soil or the US will provoke an attack in the Persian Gulf to bring Iran in to a war. The first two is open to interpretation and could mean anything - and I mean anything! It's not like it has'nt happened before in the past!

I'd definetly be happier if the Navy Seals took out Nuttyahoo ...... just my 2p worth !

I'm sure there are Mossad agents all over the place. Same with Iranian agents. Same with Russian agents. Same with Chinese agents. And I'm sure there are American agents all over those places as well. Nothing is as it seems.

Maybe they are waking up, They used to love him, most of them voted for him, So I assume this means the honeymoon is over? With 2.2% of our population Jewish the US is second only to Israel with roughly 400,000 less, and France being a distant 3rd. Here are some numbers according to Jewish Virtual Library, this is the number of Jews in each country followed by the percentage of the global population of Jews.

1, Israel, 5703700, 42.5%.
2, United States, 5275000, 39.3%.
3, France, 483500, 3.6%

I guess my point is that if most Jews in the US support obama don"t they have essentially the same position on Israel as Ron Paul? American Jews are essentially telling Israel to "fend for themselves" while Ron Paul is saying we can't afford to provide security to all of the countries we do now.

This guy is apparantly off the hook for something seditious he said because he said he is sorry,
but the US is supposed to attack a whole country ( Iran ) for something they never said....

Perhaps this "article" was actually intensional.

Once something is written and published, many people form a permanent opinion.
Often times without reading the whole thing let alone any follow-ups.



Remember the Haaretz article originated in Israel.

I did not hear about this from an American source, nor have I heard any responses or comments from the White House.

Hmmm.

These newspaper writers obviously don't understand the complexities of the United States Secret Service.

At this point, I believe it would take one helluva a plot to even get close enough to kill the President. The USSS is one of the most highly trained, highly disciplined and most technologically advanced law enforcement agencies in the world.

I think they'd give Mossad a run for their money.

As for the plot itself, completely ridiculous.

Well, you can read the article from January 13th itself here on Document Cloud, as well as find plenty of articles addressing it otherwise from american sources.

I'm not sure if it only appeared in actual print or if they just realized it was such a bad idea that they pulled it from all online sources. It doesn't look like this was just Haaretz making things up.
