I am not a Mason, but a well-wisher.
My advice is to enjoy yourself on the journey you have just begun.
I'm sure it will be a rewarding adventure and you will learn a lot.

It seems like your view concurs with that of Manly P Hall who believes that a such a position should be revered in Masonry.

From Chapter 1: The Lost Keys Of Freemasonry by Manly P Hall
The Masonic order is not a mere social organization, but is composed of all those who have banded themselves together to learn and apply the principles of mysticism and the occult rites. They are (or should be) philosophers, sages and sober-minded individuals who have dedicated themselves upon the Masonic altar and vowed by all they hold dear that the world shall be better, wiser, and happier because they have lived. Those who enter these mystic rites and pass between the pillars seeking either prestige or commercial advantage are blasphemers, and while in this world we may count them as successful, they are the cosmic failures who have barred themselves out from the true rite whose keynote is unselfishness and whose workers have renounced the things of earth.

I do not wish to disrupt your path. However, you have asked the question, so I will give my answer.

The Freemasons are a huge secret-society serving a cult which dates back further than ancient Egypt, or even Sumeria. While members below the Illuminated levels are totally oblivious of the society's true agenda, they inadvertently serve that agenda, while also performing benevolent works which uphold the acceptability of this misunderstood society.

If you believe in human freedom, I recommend steering clear of the Freemasons. I am happy to explain in further detail.

Kind regards

Oh goodie! Another fruit-cake on the list.

What a load of crap! You honestly believe everything you read, don't you?

Where to begin . . . no wait. Some people don't deserve to hear the truth.

best estimate from current research is somewhere in low 30's

Kindly supply evidence for your claims.
start with: www.davidicke.com...

What exaclty is the society's "true agenda"?
subservience to the aforementioned cult
personnel-recruitment and buddy-network at the absolutely highest levels of power

David Icke. Yep. Know him well.

Try this on for size.

Awwww c'mon guys . . . I was just starting to have fun! LOL.

I wa going to ask him a few more questions about our great reptilian overlords.

You think they like sports? Maybe beer and nachos ?

'Cause if they like beer and nachos, man, they're in for a treat!

One more thing: Since they're our "overlords", does that mean that even the dumbest burn-out among them is still superior to the smartest among us? I can picture him now, all laid out on the couch, cheese puffs all over his stomach, porn videos all over the floor, watching a "Who's the Boss" rerun, saying . . . . "oh foolish, foolish humans" **reaches for a beer** your guns an computers and tanks are no match for my superior powers" **scratches at a scaly testicle**

First Congratulations, I am fallowing the same path, I will be initiated in November (if all goes as planned). And I too am nervous, but also very exited and looking forward to this great time in my life (I have Mason relatives coming up from the States for my initiation, it will be nice to have their support, do you know anyone that will be at your initiation? This might ease the nerves..) But any how I am sure that everything will go well and that you will be among friends, so good luck and have fun.
(Watch out for thoughts nasty little reptiles, no sorry I mean reptilians
)

libertad- Do you think that sillinous has not done his due diligence? You should do the same, read all the posts in the "secret societies" section and use the search button, most of the things you talk about are probably covered at length on this board, hope you have fun and you might just see why there are quite a few people that have changed their minds about Freemasonry, thanks to this site.

Greatings Brother Hopeful...

We should start our own society of hopefuls and call it: "The Order of the Hopefuls" or even better "The Pre Freemasonry Order of Hopefuls"
We would have three members with you, d1 and I, and maybe even more for all I know.

For some reason every time that I read your posts, when you said "Mississauga", I always thought (dislexia) you said Massachusetts (the only resembalence is the length, and they both start with the letter M and have two s's). Hope that everything goes well for you, and nice to see others from C eh N eh D eh, here, eh
.

Gentlemen,
There is nothing to be worried about, just relax and go with the moment. I promise that when it's all said and done you will have not regretted it and it will have been well worth it.

YOU WILL BE CHANGED

For the BETTER, of course, but since this Masonry we are discussing, that last almost goes without saying...

Congrats, and when you are through the initiation, within the confines of your obligation, tell us what you thought...

Mirthful Me:

David Icke, he's still just for breakfast, because he's nothing but Froot Loops...

Please elaborate... are you saying that he is missing a bigger picture? Please explain the non-human conductor. I agree regarding HR Clinton, but I prefer to fear nobody.

Kind regards

You're kidding, right? David Icke of the "I am Jesus" claims? David Icke of the Lizard Overlords claims?

I mean, you have just got to be kidding... right?

Well, much thanks to everyone who has given positive comments and advice. I will let you all know how the initiation went and what I thought of it afterwards. I will have 2 close friends who have just recently been initiated at my ceremony, so that combined with everything you guys have said is making it a little less nervous for me.

Those two, by the way, have refused to say anything to me about their initiation. I even picked one up from the Lodge after initiation, and all he could say was "Wow..." and "The world is definately your oyster..." and said that is all he would say. And since then, he seems to almost be a different person. He is deffinately changed for the better. For instance, he called one of his long time enemies and apologized to him for anything that he had ever said/done and paid him back thirty dollars that he owed him.

Also, Good luck to everyone on this board wishing to become, or in the process of becoming a Mason. I hope that everything goes as well as it has for me so far.

Please tell me which David Icke books you have read. I am unaware of the Jesus claim, or use the term "overlord." I have read:
I am Me, I am Free
And the Truth Shall Set You Free
Alice in Wonderland and the WTC Disaster
Children of the Matrix

Which of Icke's books did you read, on which you are now basing your criticisms?

Thanks

When David first dropped his Soccer announcing job, he began making claims that he was Jesus God... he later modified his stance. Now, with his masons are the evil and lizard men are behind all the world governments, I find it hilarious that anyone takes him seriously or even quotes him... but hey, everyone is entitled to their religion...

Robert A. Heinlein once wrote:

One man's religion is another man's belly laugh

This is me laughing at David Icke's religion

Not that I want to suppress it or anything, or stop you from worshiping at his feet... but I can laugh at his claims...

and I do...

David Icke just has been playing a big joke on everyone, his books are all fiction. He wanted to see how many people would actually believe half of the stuff he says!

Uh oh! Looks like he got couple people!

What a funny guy!
