First off, what you're referring to is not the galactic equator. The galactic equator is the midpoint of the galaxy. Since we're in one of the arms that means the galactic equator is several light years away. What you are actually referring to is the galactic plane. As the solar system orbits the galaxy it oscillates up and down around an imaginary line. This is the galactic plane. It's much like the plane of the ecliptic except on a galactic scale. It takes 30-40 million years for the solar system to return to the galactic plane after passing through it. The last time the solar system passed through the galactic plane was 3 million years ago. This means that it will be another 27-37 million years before we return to the edge of the galactic plane and then another few thousands years before we pass through it completely. Furthermore, even if we were passing through the galactic plane there are no mass extinctions correlated with previous crossings.

First off, no commune will be started by me, thank you---i'm not righteous enough. Second, I hate paying taxes too. Third, I never have trusted our government, but thanks for the advise, fourth, i'm simply giving the OP advise in hope that it helps. And fifth, I completely agree that something big, sometime before our end, will go down and throw us back into the 'pre-electronic' age. Will I or you live to see it?---don't know.
But no need to bash someone's religion by comparing it to 'hocus pocus crap' when all their doing is politely giving their opinion and trying to help someone else out!

Personally, I don't know what the hell to think. I've been fearing 2012 for as long as I can remember. I'm 26 and I first heard about the Mayan calendar sometime in my childhood. Over the years there have been other "doomsdays" but I never thought there was a grain of truth to them. There's something about December 21st, 2012 - it's like it's in my DNA to fear it. I don't know what will happen on that day. Pole shift? Solar storm? Aliens? Galactic black hole? Asteroid? All I know is that I feel SOMETHING is going to happen and I need to be with my family on that day.

but was written down as a experience

Propably nothing.

But imagine the scenario that all that we've been reading about 2012 to happen on the same day.
While planet X is approaching and it's on a collision course with earth,intergalactic aliens show up to fight interdimensional demons who are here to start the apocalypse,while the allignment with the center of the galaxy causes a massive solar flare and a polar shift.Meanwhile a huge wormhole is created by accident in CERN and it devours everything including Nibiru and the aliens.THE END

First of all - the date is not 21/12/2012. This date is told too loudly to be true.

Let think how it appeared. Mayans? Mayans come some 4 thousand years ago. And the calendar is some 12,000y ago. It doesn't fit. All that we have as "Mayan" knowledge comes from a pre-Mayan and pre-Egyptian civilization. Very likely with connections to extraterrestrials. Civilization that had no problem to lift those gigantic stones and to put them with precision together that we cannot do today despite all our advances...

Then, what is the starting date, if we want to have a correct estimation of the end date? No one really tells us. And where it comes from the starting date. Perhaps from some extraterrestrials that the hidden knowledge speaks about. We are denied that for now.

There were end date estimations for October 28,2011. Or even those who said the era of alignment is between 1997 and 2017. Did anyone take into account the old calendars based on year of 360 days when the Earth orbited the Sun on 5 day shorter orbit? They changed around the year 701 BC. If we estimate those years each of 5 or 6 days more, it will make around 40 years more for the period 701 BC - 2011. In other words, if that is not counted in the Mayan estimations, the real end date should have happened some 40 years ago in 1972. It didn't.

But perhaps the calendar specialists took into account all of that and the right estimated date is indeed 21/12, based on what those scientists got as a start date. And who told them so - the elite or secret societies. So what to expect? A big doom? If so, do you believe anyone in position will tell the 7 bln people the real end date? I don't think so. Most likely the real date is before 21/12.

Whatever the real date, the doom is something that can be recorded by today's special spacecraft. Most likely those far more advanced than the official space programs. So the leaders know exactly what comes, when etc. Because they have seen it, not based on Mayans but based on modern observation.

I am kind of unbelieving when hearing all those stories of ascension. They are not based in the Bible. There we have the current state of the body and the resurrected state that will be given only at the Second Coming of Jesus. Here we do not talk or expect the Second Coming, that is unknown by definition. Is there another state of life that the Bible talks about? Indeed, Adam - Noah lived ~ 1000 years, and Enoch even more. So did Elijah after his taking. But is this "ascension in 5D"? I don't believe it. it is not backed by the Bible. At least not for the humans living on planet Earth. And certainly not due to unknown galactic energies. If anything upgrading happens, it could happen only by God's action and in the name of Jesus Christ. A big stumbling block for the non believers, who otherwise may have best intentions in mind when speaking of ascension, love and light.

I expect extraterrestrial intervention, or angelic, in the manner described in the Bible. They will have bodies, but more important, they will have craft, as they had for Elijah. It is we who need the spacecraft or chariots, because we are not angels and have mortal bodies as Elijah did. The world needs cleansing as in the time of Noah. And it will be cleansed as in the Flood. But without a second flood, because God promised there wouldn't be another one. The good ones will be saved beforehand.

Whether it matches with the book of Revelation End time of Antichrist, I don't know. If so, pls go to the very good interpretations available online, on youtube. It is also possible we are still not in that time. We will not know in advance. Whether WW3 will happen first, as Fatima-3 suggests (Neues Europa text) is also unknown. Whether our taking will be a rapture, or just a planetary rescue, we will see. In anyway, we the rescued people will continue the life on Earth when everything is over.

Don't buy every theory or suggestion that pops up, rather see everything thru the Bible. ANd keep in mind that most preachers do not have background in science, modern physics that allows even time travel, or deep knowledge of extraterrestrials and their great variety.

The whole concept of a 2012 Mayan "time of change" is propaganda created to give non-believers a REASON for the upcoming events, whatever they may entail.

Satan hates God's creation that's why he has been working overtime on having the western nations dump a faith in Jesus Christ ( not Catholicism, Talmudic Judaism or Islam) and replacing it with atheism, new age religions, Mayan and Hopi beliefs, Egyptology and extraterrestrials.- if you note anything but the Salvation offered by the Lord and King Jesus Christ. Why he's just a character in a "fable story book" they shout from the rooftops!

The Bible is the inspired words of God and only He can let you see the truth. It's written and understood by those who put their Faith in His promises. It is the proclamation to this Age of what He is doing - the creation of children of God who will reign with Christ upon His return. But as Jesus asked "Will He find true faith upon His return" or will it be like a long time ago:

they were satisfied;
when they were satisfied,
they became proud;

then they forgot me."

They "forgot" him then when they were were seduced with worldly pleasures and when they started seeking false gods who tickled their fancies. They became wise and proud and conceited in their pursuits of gluttony and sensual pleasures because it was more attractive than their Creator who demanded mercy and justice and love be shown on Earth to glorify Him to mankind. THAT is the One True God Almighty.

Whatever happens, 2012 will see a deterioration from what we are seeing now. They are almost finished building the set for their attempt at world takeover and the destruction of Christ's faithful.

But may you contemplate on Christ's words:
"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell."

God's creation stands as a constant sign that it was created. From the complexity and majesty of an individual snowflake to the burning gaseous Sun to the human being with consciousness. We are in one Age now that is ending. Thankfully I know how it ends, with evil banished.

I would say that reality is relative to each of us. We get what we wish for...

....What I think is that Dec.21st 2012 marks the begining of the real changes that will actually begin after the date..2013 and onward will be very intense..greater earth changes, major changes in society..perhaps a ww3..who knows..but BIG changes guaranteed...I would say probably lasting up to 2020..the 20s will be a decade of peace perhaps...but then Apophis arrives, sooo..

Firstly the date is 23/12/12 not the 21st.
The calender they we attribute to the Mayans was not invented by them, it was who we call the Toltecs some 1000 years earlier and was inherited by them from much deeper in the past as far as i am concerned. I believe that the same shall we say civilisation that invented the calender were the same civilisation that also designed/built all of the ancient pyramids/temples of Egypt,Mesoamerica and Mesopotamia as well as plotted the ancient maps that depict for example the landmass of Antarctica which could have only been done before it was covered by the ice cap.

It is undisputable that the (civilisation) who created these things had a high intellect and advanced knowledge of mathematics and astronomy at the very least as this was absolutely necessary to create any of the things i have mentioned. This civilisation clearly knew about our solar system and our place in it. According to the mayans we are in the 5th and last age or "sun", the others all ended in cataclysm of one kind or another, one by water one by wind etc, this is what they called the age of the moving sun. My point is that they knew about our entire solar system, the planets and their positions, it follows that they also knew the affect of varying positions of planets on our own. It is clear that they regarded this date with vast importance and anybody who can easily dismiss it clearly cannnot understand why it is relevant in the first place.
