IF yopu knew what really went on like Iranian soldiers shell US soldiers over the boarder.

Supplying SHites with IED's

The list goes on.

People have no idea what really goes on behind the lines because we are not told.

We are told what the want to believe nothing more.

I believe nothing they say and everything I see ..

And what I see is a war is imminent

If i remember, we used the same fear propaganda to invade iraq.
We all know how that turned out!

We were hearing end of the world scenarios about Iraq and WMDs and how if we didn't get Saddam we would find out with a mushroom cloud.
Mobile chemical weapons labs that turned out to be ice cream trucks?
How many lies did the Bush administration and the MSM tell the American public to sell them on the idea of attacking Iraq?

There are clear differences between the lead up to Iraq and what Iran is doing. Iran’s nuclear program is not trumped up….the last IAEA report documented clear evidence. In addition to that, Iran has been openly working on its nuclear program with the Russians! It’s not speculation when they do it in the open!!

'Credible evidence'

The report highlights:

• Work on fast-acting detonators that have "possible application in a nuclear explosive device, and... limited civilian and conventional military applications".

• Tests of the detonators consistent with simulating the explosion of a nuclear device

• "The acquisition of nuclear weapons development information and documentation from a clandestine nuclear supply network."

• "Work on the development of an indigenous design of a nuclear weapon including the testing of components."

The report continues: "The information indicates that prior to the end of 2003 the above activities took place under a structured programme. There are also indications that some activities relevant to the development of a nuclear explosive device continued after 2003, and that some may still be ongoing."
link

How much more evidence do you need before you admit they are trying to build a nuclear bomb?

Good post filled with a lot of common sense and some facts people just don't want to read or admit.

After reading the front page and then skimming through the rest ( witch I normally don't do) it just supports what I feel even more, this is humans acting like humans or to put it the realist way, a predatorial spicies acting like we are supposed to, this is who we are. America just happens to be the 800 lb gorilla on the planet today. To blame America for being the only bully is just "lame", Russia, China, Great Britian, they all do it or have done it, just not on the scale America does.

We as a spicies have been killing each other sinse the begenning..................why can't people deal with that fact and quite blaming someone and actuelly think of a way to stop the predatory instincts of the human race........................now there is the sound of silence and crickets.

You mean the politicians should be ashamed of them selves.

I knew he was CIA.

He is for taking america's freedome.

Why do we have these cameras everywhere.

Why cannot we go to vermont and come back withou ICE pulling us over saying where are you coming from where are you going.

I was stopped coming home from a fishing trip .

The stopped us at a check point they set up.

Pulled us over and asked for ID.

I said I have a drivers liscense. Yes.

Can I have it I said no.

He got all pissy with me I said run my plate is it ligit.

Did I brake any laws nio then get the f outa my way I am leaving you are holding me against my will and unlawfully detaining me.

He stepped back and let me and my four buddie gow with aout 2 trucks with 2 boats in tow.

He was about to get an ear full.

Let that be a lesson.

No your righs.

It is your civic duty.

Be informed.

Im not talking about all of us should be ashamed
Im talking about the people who always fall for all
the bs the governments say, and all the horrible things
they do. Attack on governments is not an attack on the
governments people.

Remember that!

1st line of your opening post, and i'm having trouble understanding what you are trying to achieve: “I am not a warmonger but that is the title given to everybody who supports removing threats in the world.”

Contradictory?

When there is no threat and you try to support the removal of a non-existant threat. You are war mongering.

What I said is not contradictory at all. The Iranian nuclear program is a threat. If the threat can be removed through the use of IAEA inspections and/or sanctions then how is that warmongering. There are many ways to remove a threat without WAR.

Tell me how promoting the use of bomb's, artillery, airstrikes, and murder on a nation who is not a threat is a desirable or needed action?

Show me where I promoted the use of bombs, artillery, air strikes and murder! I didn’t promote or advocate that at all. I just want the threat removed….and YES Iran with a nuclear weapon is a THREAT. Would you hand a gun to a lunatic straight out of an asylum? Does that seem logical to you? It doesn’t to me!!!

You know you are pretty wrong. They are very much under threat of invasion, nuclear weapon or not. The oil industry wants back what they deem theirs.

Evidence please?? Unless you can back up what you say it’s just speculation.

Has America ever invaded Iran? We supposedly went to war with Iraq for oil…WHERE IS IT? I’m tired of paying $3.25 for a gallon of gasoline. Where is all this oil??

Uh, I think you missed part of it. We impose sanction after sanction. We do everything we can to make them attack us. Then we get sanctimonius and attack them never mentioning that it is what we strived for and provoked them into. Perhaps you should look at what history teaches today. A lot has changed since your history teacher did his/her best to bore you to tears with names, dates, places.

Most here will never understand US.
I do not want to go to War. Nor do I want War to be waged.
I want peace and freedom.
But, I will not hesitate to strike down those that wish to harm me.
There is a difference.

How much more evidence do you need before you admit they are trying to build a nuclear bomb?

that is a garbage piece of evidence you have found.. the BBC article is actually written much better then that 25 page report

BBC's own correspondent on that page made some decent statements on the report

The 25-page IAEA report is written in technical, deliberately undramatic language. But some of its findings are clear.

The report says that Iran has carried out activities "relevant to the development of a nuclear explosive device".

But on first reading, the report does not state that Iran is actually building a nuclear weapon.

The report lists in detail what it believes Iran has been doing in secret. These activities include conducting computer modelling, developing a detonator, and testing high explosives.

Computer modelling, developing a detonator, and testing high explosives can be used for hundreds if not thousands of purposes

The IAEA suggests that some of Iran's activities are only applicable to nuclear weapons research - in other words, there is no innocent explanation for what Iran is doing.

in the BBC article also says

'No serious proof'

so basically a bunch of beliefs, allegations, accusations, speculations, and suggestions put together in a PDF with complex vocabulary but no proof for a bomb. You can't throw a punch at thin air

China has it...we were given the option to drill there by the Iraq to help pay for the war and help Iraq. But we can thank a few Senators for preventing that ever happening.

See my first post, this thread (previous page). I explain it rather patiently. But I'll hit that tune again. We don't want the oil so that you can have more of it. We (Big Oil) want the oil in order to keep control of the supply. Less supply, more profit. Saddam had to go because he was challenging OPEC by threatening to open up the taps and cut everyone's price. Big Oil didn't want that, they prefer the big profits coming from a limited supply. Limited by them and OPEC.

The Soviet Union was a threat to the US and they had thousands of nuclear weapons.

If Iran gets a nuke how is that the end of the world?

If they use it - it would surely be the end of Iran - and don't they know that?

What about North Korea?

Anyone can rightfully argue North Korea's leaders are nut jobs and yet they have a nuke. Surely they would cease to exists should they ever use it - and crazy or not - they know that.

We are hearing arguments that we must start a war to prevent one!! Insane!

There is simply no evidence that Iran will do anything more than North Korea when or if they get a nuke. Saber rattling.

The US just doesn't want Iran to get a nuke before the US has a chance to invade their country.

Once Iran has one it may prevent the US from invading!!

Imagine that! Iran getting the bomb may prevent a WAR!

They don't want to harm you. You personally are a flea on a camel. They want us to quit harming them and quit occupying their country. Seems pretty reasonable to me. This has been what Irag has wanted since 1919 when Churchill created their country for the sole purpose of being the Brit's gas station for the next war. Look it up, it is true.
