On November 29, 2010, Shahriari and Fereydoun Abbasi were targeted by terrorist attacks; Shahriari was killed immediately but Dr. Abbasi, the current director of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, only sustained injuries.
Iran says as the UN Resolution 1747, adopted against Tehran in March 2007, cited Abbasi's name as a "nuclear scientist," the perpetrators were in a position to trace their victim.

Iranian officials claim Tehran obtained credible documents providing conclusive evidence of CIA involvement in murder of nuclear scientist
...
According to an Iranian statement broadcasted on the Islamic Republic's official TV Channel, Tehran has conclusive evidence that the United States plotted the assassination of Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan last week.
Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said his country has obtained "credible documents that prove the terror attack was planned
I know we're not supposed to make one line posts, but after reading all this... It comes to mind to ask that very dangerous question... So What?
does any one see the give away to the inside job? no read this then think
Iran will hold "the U.S., Britain and the Zionist regime accountable for their actions," said the deputy chairman of Iran's Joint Chiefs of Staff, Brig. Gen. Massoud Jazayeri.
Jazayeri said the assassination would not hinder Iran's progress towards strategic technologies, the government-run Press TV reported Sunday, following an interview with him on Saturday.
still think it was not a blame game on the US Israel? or was it a CIA MOSSAD and SAS? if we did do it would we not target one to make major set backs , and delay there plan by oh say 5 to 10 years if not longer? and why the weak tone
Jazayeri said the assassination would not hinder Iran's progress towards strategic technologies, the government-run Press TV reported Sunday
would not stronger words convey the message?

Forgive me if this theory based already been mentioned ...we know the CIA are always knee deep in dung wherever conflict and social unrest is.......CIA> helping Iran to develope nuclear // other weapons> scientist starts feeling morally bankrupt n guilty> begins to crack> CIA whacks him out and leaves "evidence" that points to other government entity..spec.ops. state dept..etc... after all CIA is a for profit corporation reg. In delaware
According to Professor Francis Boyle with reference to the ongoing showdown between the US Navy and Iran in the Persian Gulf:: “Once again, it looks to me like what FDR did in 1941 when he sacrificed the Pacific Fleet and its men at Pearl Harbor—except for the carriers—in order to get the USA into World War II despite the fervent desire of the American People and Congress to stay out. Déjà vu all over again. Back to the Future ” (Francis Boyle, January 13, 2011, email communication to author)
Only the blind do not see that the US government is preparing to attack Iran. According to Professor Michel Chossudovsky, “Active war preparations directed against Iran (with the involvement of Israel and NATO) were initiated in May 2003.”
Military Deployment
Iran is the target of US-Israel-NATO war plans.
Advanced weapons systems have been deployed.
US and allied Special Forces as well as intelligence operatives are already on the ground inside Iran. US military drones are involved in spying and reconnaissance activities.
Bunker buster B61 tactical nuclear weapons are slated to be used against Iran in retaliation for its alleged nuclear weapons program. Ironically, in the words of US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, Iran does not possess a nuclear weapons program. “Are they trying to develop a nuclear weapon? No.”
The risk of armed hostilities between the US-Israel led coalition and Iran is, according to Israeli military analysts “dangerously close”.
A third factor is to deter or slow China’s rise as a military and economic power by controlling China’s access to energy. It was China’s oil investments in eastern Libya that led to the sudden move against Libya by the US and its NATO puppets, and it is China’s oil investments elsewhere in Africa that resulted in the Bush regime’s creation of the United States Africa Command, designed to counter China’s economic influence with US military influence. China has significant energy investments in Iran, and a substantial percentage of China’s oil imports are from Iran. Depriving China of independent access to oil is Washington’s way of restraining and boxing in China.

I honestly would prefer the United States to deal with the issues going on at our border dealing with the Mexican cartels before getting involved in another war in the middle east...If anything, I feel that the cartels are a more immidiate threat to the United States...
