They would do it secretly if they wanted to set up the US. Just face the fact that Iran is full of bad guys and their leader wants to bring about the apocolypse. Sound like a victim to you? He's an evil nutcase.

A general reply to all the pacifist europeans bashing the US...you would be under Japanese or German rule if we didn't stand up for the weaker countries. And we don't take over countries, we help and we leave....eventually.
I would rather our guys stayed home and help keep everyone out, but you don't always get what you want. You guys wanted the US to vote in Obama the great man of peace...how's that working for you?

western powers have a long history of meddling with Iran and my family has suffered directly because of it for decades

most recent proof of this was with the stuxnet virus which they attempted to sabotage the reactors so there is no way Iranians were behind this incident themselves

IAEA has yet to come up with any specific evidence Iran is after a nuclear weapon so theres no reason for him to talk to them about a weapons program, if anything it was solely about the nuclear program for energy purposes

Diplomacy can still work with Saudi Arabia. It is "Iffy" with them Politically. They have a split council / monarchy.

Seriously, tho, everyone points to Israel or the US, but the truth is there are several other culprits who gain from anonymously attacking Iran.The MEK (Mujahideen fighters in Iran) and surrounding Arab countries (remember Iran is Persian, not Arab) come to mind. That's not just me being facetious. If Iran thinks they are loved by countries like Saudi Arabia and Yemen they are extremely disillusioned...like more disillusioned than they have already proved themselves to be.

Last week I heard my wife say that she just didn't care anymore about the mid-east issues that we see on the news constantly. She said that we were being force-fed this turmoil and that she wasn't swallowing it anymore. She thought there were real news items in the U.S. and that the People of the U.S. should collectively quit watching news about the middle-east and quit being concerned about it so that the middle-east countries could handle their own affairs. She thought that the news agencies somehow need us - the People of the U.S. to care about middle-east issues for some real reason that we are unaware of. I have thought about this for the past week. When this scientist was killed I began reading many articles about it. I saw Santorum say that all scientists should be killed who work on nuclear projects in Iran. I saw Paul say we need to keep out of other countries business. I have decided that the Santorum policy would cause further disruption and harm to the People of the U.S. and that the Paul policy would best protect us. Consequently, I won't be back here. Thanks for the time.

So, what then? Somehow cause US to attack Iran? If Iran wants to be attacked, they just need to send a few missiles on the way to the carriers.

I hope you and your family are the first people drafted if a war breaks out between the US and Iran. No one country can really punish or sanction the US the way the US sanctions others, if I would make an educated guess I would say a combination of our oil providers, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela,Canada can choke off the US oil imports. But that would most likely never happen, and if it did the countries that stop selling us oil would loose so much revenue it would be like them sanctioning themselfs.
