Those who came across from Europe were not of the same race as the ''Native Americans'' and were indeed another group altogether.
The Natives aren't Native it seems.

Ok so who did the native americans kill off?? what should have happened was the whites should have just co existed with native americans and everyone else they try conquer.. the world would be such a magical place with fairys and unicorns running around if that happened.. lol

Supposedly the "Nuns" were stern with everyone.

I think we are all much better off now than before. These people and these times, before modern times, were damn brutal to the extreme.

They had it all, genocide, religious sacrifices, thrown off cliffs, getting eaten. In the long run we are all much better off.

Look its 2011 and we are all HUMAN. No one "Owns" land and I think that is a ridiculous idea. It promotes segregation and bigotry. No one owns any land, the Native Americans came here crossing the Bering Straits 25,000 years ago.

So true.. aside from all those killer tribes there was a whole bunch of buffalo waiting to trample you lucky someone killed em off .. havent heard of anyone being trampled by buffalo in a long time.

As for the OP's Indian assertion, it would be a rather interesting journey back in time on the what might have been.

Red Inidians populated the HUGE landmass known as N. America then for centuries. They were only a small population with HUGE mineral sources. There were many tribes whom were often at war with each other, in tribal societies and had never progress beyond the spear while the rest of the world had progressed beyond the bullet and into cultural renaissance.

The indians often claimed that their lands were stolen by the americans. But in truth, if the americans - then colonial brits - had sailed off, guess who else would have landed in America and taken over? Prussian Germany, or italians, or Spain, or worse - Ottaman Turks. The indians were of no match against them.

Fortunately, after much conflict between indians and frontier americans, peace came into the land, by SHARING the land. In the end, as the indians population grew, the young preferred the civilisation offered by americans for they offer better economic and political prospects.

Point is, it will be the economic, social and poliltical prospects that drives one from one state to another. Each human is a precious life, and is a loss when an immigrant migrates.

Germany in the 17th Century knew that fact and had laws to prevent migration, not that germany could take care of its citizens, but only to continue to use them as serfs and canon fodder in their conquests of Europe. The european masses were not that stupid, and fled to US, and when combined with other nations from the world - Red Indians, China, Africa, etc - they made USA to what it is today - a rich prosperous nation that bows to no one.

So too can the states of Israel and Palestine be great. It lays in how they manage to offer a better climate of peace, progress and dignity to their own citizens in order to progress and grow. The one who fail will see mass migration onto the other side and be doomed as a state.

All humans are the same in our world and have only common aspirations despite differences. Peace, justice, equality, shared prosperity, responsible freedom and progress is that which all mankind seeks.

I agree, however if I had my say I would give the land back to Native Americans. They were much more in tune with nature, and conserving mother Earth, and I beleive they were fairer with distribution of their lands, oh well at least I never heard of a homeless native american, at least BEFORE the greedy whites took it over.(And I am white so much for calling me a racist)

You only believe (think) that because of FICTIONAL movies and books written. Makes a good $tory.

Unless there is some other reason, something known as proof.

You could save Gaza is like a large reservation, sort of like the Natives have here in Canada..
Difference is the Natives are not launching rockets into our cities while we sleep.

Although, I'm sure Israel isn't giving Palestinians free education, 1000$ cheques every month and cheap smokes and gas..

You can make that connection, Palestinians and Indians, but the big difference here is the Native American at least received some form of compensation (not that it excuses all the wrong inflicted on them) where as the 700,000 displaced Palestinians received nothing, and there are no plans to for them receive anything.
