One question: Why would the government call them 'Chemtrails'? It is a term coined on the Internet to describe longer lasting than usual contrails, or some such, depending on how you describe them.

Surely a government paper describing their use would use their actual name, or, if it secret, no mention at all? Surely this would be like a list of USAF installations having an entry titled 'Area 51'.

If I"m not mistaken It was a California group back in the early to mid nineties to use the term. Kucinich was the first to use it in a political arena with HR 2977. I guess it just stuck. Chemical trails indeed.

This is old, old, and already explained news. Dozens of times explained, here on ATS.

Go and review any number of "chemtrail" threads. Use the SEARCH feature (that's how it's labeled, above in the blue bar, on the right...next to LOG OUT).

Go there, and type in any number of variations like "HR2977" and/or "Kucinich HR2977" and so on.

Also, just type "chemtrails patents" and variations on that. Please, DO that and then read and get informed.

Sorry, but it's true.....there are nutters (were nutters) on the staff of Kucinich, or affiliated and contributed in the writing of that ridiculous Bill. THEY include the insane language, likely unbeknownst to Kucinich.

These same nut-jobs are also "9/11 conspiracy" fear mongers and "Inside Jobby Jobbers".

If not yet.....read their nonsense, and think!! The "chemtrail crowd" (or the "Insane Cloud Posse") keep banging on about what are really normal contrails, but call them "chemtrails"......yet they agree that they are at altitudes of 30,000 to 40,000 feet....coincidentally where airliners cruise.

THEN, we have this case if trying to use the Space Shuttle, as if it too is "involved"!!

Hint: The SPace Shuttle doesn't fly at 30,000 to 40,000 feet!)

They're up there spraying NOW......one after another. 3 planes within the past 3 minutes. This activity has been going on since Christmas Eve. And, it's ALWAYS in the same location. I am CONVICED...it's weather related. I can even see them spraying at NIGHT. Yeah....at night...as clear as i can see the moon. I have NO city lights where i live...so...i see ALL the constellations, like they were sitting on my ceiling.

Oops...just as i'm writing this...here comes plane 4, flying in the same direction, about the same altitude...spraying in the same location...just a little further north. And, it looks like someone softly blowing flour into a fan. Or no, it looks like the wind stream demonstrations, when they do those car commercials. It looks like a river of clouds, flowing into the ocean.

I'm trying to explain and keep up-to-the-minute....but, here comes plane 5 leaving it's trail. I'll let you know when plane 6 arrives.

I only care that we do something about it.

At what altitude? ^ ^ ^.....that "60,000 pound" being "sprayed"? What altitude? Above 30,000 feet? (Because, that's where the airliners fly, and where the contrails are).

Just try to think in three dimensions.....and then calculate the VOLUME of air in the range you suggested, in the text above.

Oh, you are using Metric units.....OK, 30,000 feet = 9,144 meters. Or, about 9 kilometers.

9km vertically, multiplied by (your term) 100km horizontally......by what other distance horizontally?? Another 100km? OK......well, that's 100 x 100 x 9 = 90,000 cubic kilometers of air. Try working out how 60,000 pounds of anything will become diluted in that volume of air.

Nicely put. It does simply come down to the garbage in the skies, whether for regular air travel or for more clandestine power grabs. The fact remains...our clear blue skies are gone..

I will repeat this challenge: Someone, anyone, willing to keep a log, a journal? Just to record the actual numbers of days when it IS a nice clear "blue skies day", versus those other ones that people complain about. To get an actual record, absent the frailties and mistakes of Human recollection.

Also, I would suggest this journal be annotated with the weather forecasts and other meteorological events, in order to get a better accuracy of data points.

Worded like a maths exam....

So lets work it out.
60,000lb = 27,215kg (about half the maximum load for a 767-300F). Spread over 100km, 272kg/km. If we assume it must cover an area 2km wide before the next contrail comes along, 1km to the side to make a constant sheet 200m thick:
Volume is 400x10^6 m^3. Giving 6.8x10^-7 kg/m^3, or 6.8x10^-7 g/l (if I got that conversion right, 1000 g per kg, 1000 l per m^3).
Which is 68micrograms per litre. If we assumed it has the same molecular weight as air, we could approximate that to 68 micrograms per 1.2kg (1 litre of air) of air, giving an extremely small number which makes me think I got my maths wrong:
5.6x10^-10 = 0.56 ppb.

I'd hazard a guess that no one would notice.

My sister and I were actually doing just that up in Missouri. After a year or so I got brave and started contacting the Operations director at Lambert. After a lot of back and forth and avoidance on his part he stated to me that he could not comment due to the fact that they were military operations.

Some folks have taken this subject serious enough to make sure that they are accurate in their surmise that the chemtrails they are seeing are in fact not normal jet contrails.

I have grown beyond defending what I see and have moved onto why these clandestine operations are going on.

Is this Lambert Int'l Airport? Why do you think the operations director there is the right person to ask and/or is in a position to tell you whatever it was you asked about?

You've just made a massive leap to these being "clandestine" because 1 official won't comment on them and they are military, and it looks like you are concluding that the trails are chemtrails on the same basis - which is an illogical link as far as I can see - the military do all sorts of clandestine operations (for the sake of the argument) so the fact that any given operation is clandestine is not actually evidence of chemtrails at all.
