Yes, the New Madrid Zone, that is the line I was trying to remember, where a while back there was talk of a possible giant slaying quake erupting there.

Aftershocks can last for days depending on whats going on down there. Sometimes people think the aftershocks are worse than the initial quake because the already damaged structures that don't fall in the first quake will usually fall in the after shocks.

Because i see sooo many posts and videos about this same sort of sound and rumbling from all over the world. The only two things i can contribute it to is 1.The tectonic plates shifting. (and this has been debunked several times) 2. Underground tunneling. There is more info of the military and government using HUGE laser/atmosphere based tunneling machines. You can simply Search "DUMBS" in google. Click images. and check out a few of these huge (and old) Air Force tunneling machines. I Can only that because we are getting closer to the end of 2012 or the beginning of 2013 there will be a lot more reports and videos of this same exact thing.

That is very near where I live, with West Knoxville being just a few miles away, where my brother lives - the brother who called me asking about it.

The only thing I find different about this is that what I experienced occurred @ around 4am and the calls to the local TV station occurred at 1.15a

Maybe it was such a prolonged event that I slept through the beginning of it and only caught the latter part of it.

Thanks again for the link in the news, definitely feel a bit more sane than before. Was about to go crazy with this thing for a bit, I live by myself, so could really get a any confirmation from another human, although it was obviously happening. Sometimes it is more comforting to discuss the event, to get a better understanding

Its a long shot, but the sound from a B1 Lancer flying low in a valley is an amazingly loud experience. Usually it is a 15 min or longer shake and rumble. I have experienced this once in the SF Bay area, and once in Lancaster, CA.

There are a lot of talks in the area of underground bases being constructed here, with confirmation of such a structure at the base of the Smoky Mountains, in neighboring Sevier County, TN

I don't know of any that are very close by, but I imagine underground demolition could reverberate for quite a distance... depending on it's size

Good...I was worried you wouldn't be able to hear it. The videos don't sound as loud as it really is. I still have a couple I am uploading now...one in which you can hear one of the loud booms. This one I just posted was good I thought because you could see that flock of birds haul butt! You can hear it best with headphones. I'm going to record it whenever I hear it....I wish more people would, because it's good to compare, you know? As soon as the other ones are finished, I'll post them. I may go out again before work....I'm inside and can hear it now off and on.

Probably a poorly aimed ELF propagation from the Ruskies trying to agitate the New Madrid Fault area. Instead of pumping low frequency wave energy into the fault area they missed the target and hit the bed rock in the area of the rumbling. Same stuff as HARRP and GWEN wave generation

Here is another video from this afternoon, where you can hear the booms in the distance....the loudest one is at :34 Theses are nothing compared to some I hear....sometimes they are very loud.

a few links popped up and one caught my attention because of the location.

When I clicked the link, it took me to ATS thread that was started in march of 2011.

When I scrolled down to find the relative post I kinda luaghed at myself when I saw that it was me! I described it then almost exactly as I did this morning... hmm

What is strange about this is the time of the post. It is near identical to the current thread time.

I wonder what it could be?

Are you gonna tell us what area you're talking about? It would help to know the actual location... The TYPE of area (urban,rural,suburban,etc) doesn't really matter too much, since plate tectonics don't really care if you live in a city or not... Just sayin'.

Sounds like an Earthquake to me...

...Especially since it's happened before.

If you live in the south, perhaps it's an underground drug-running tunnel.

Yes, I have explained several times my exact location and it is also in the title of the thread.........

I live outside Knox County in Blaine. Last night laying in bed I thought I felt the bed shifting, but I fell asleep so I don't know if it was just me or not. Anyways I'll been following & reporting if I notice anything.

Does it sound anything like this?
