I think its somewhat obvious if they know if someone is there or not. Anything could give you away. Car. Lights. Recent communications from that address.

but to answer your question.. YOU, and All of "US",, Should already have a "jump-bag" right by the front door, or Outside of our home,,or in a shed--or buried in the yard-- or in the trunk of our cars..!!!

any thinking that you need to pack up and get out of the house really quick,,, makes it TOO LATE,, you should have it all ready to go.. Grab it and Go!!!

get it all ready tonight....

and keep it stocked,, and rotate your items,, to keep them fresh..


WATER,,, Water,, and Food,, and whatever "protection" you might feel needed.. and Water!!

and you know the list... butts, booze, bullets, Broads,.. and Band-aids..

and water.. or a GREAT camping Filter system,, for water....

the whole system is about to collapse. how are they going to afford to put people in fema camps. You gotta pay those gaurds. You can't pay them if there is no money.

sometimes i can snap my fingers and become invisible.
if that doesn't work i have a wad of cash to bribe the troops with.
if that doesn't work i'll show them the dynomite strapped to my chest. it at least gets them to back up 50 yards or so.

I'll still take my chances of just ignoring the knocking on the door.
I do it all the time.
I get migraines. Nothing else exists outside of a migraine.

If they're breaking down doors and forcibly physically taking people, that's one thing, but, if I have to open a door, show my face, or give anyone any indication that anyone is inside or that they have any kind of permission to enter, then, I'm not answering the door.

If people are being forcibly ejected and taken, then, I'll hide. I'm sneaky. I can hide quite well.
Once they're gone, then, the zone I'm in will be 'clear' so, I won't have anything to worry about for awhile, and can take leisure at poking at everyone else's swag left behind in their houses, to pick and choose what goodies and goods I want to take with me on the run.

Valuables left behind by other peeps can also finance my get-away, be used to purchase papers, identification, or anything else I might need.

First rule of any scenario; don't panic. Don't run.
Let everyone else panic.
All the stuff they (the people that panic/comply) leave behind will give you better advantage than any pre-prepared bug-out bag you might have packed. It's also cheaper.

I admit I have starred some of the funnier posts in this thread, but to offer a more serious reply, I really am not sure what I would do.

I do have plans, but really, there are so many variables. So many things that could happen it makes it hard to be truly and fully prepared. Bug out bags ( I admit I do not have one) do help, but that is assuming you are able to get away from the authorities who are looking for you.

Criminals on the run usually do not make it too far. Some do get away, but I think most people, even if they did run, in a scenario like the one presented by the OP, would get caught. They have technology and numbers on their side.

I would try to hide, live off the radar for as long as possible with the little any of us can carry with us. But being realistic, I am unsure, it would be enough to prevent me or you from being found.

If they want to find you bad enough, they will.

I break out my bible and begin to pray to God i don't end up going the way of Ensign #4 in this hypothetical scenario.

After that I catch a train out and disappear.

I simply activate the beacon and 20 battle cruisers cloaked near Sirius B arrive in 7 seconds. Parked, cloaked, locked and loaded around this planet.


Definitely not concerned with the powers that be on this planet or their alliances in nearby neighborhoods .

sorry but you will not be able to move freely in the city. Better pack a gun and get some friends quick if you decide to stay. Gangs will form real quick to gather supplies and other items, most will just kill you and take what you have. Your plan will only work if you live in a community that decides to stay and set up camp, but then you will most likely become just like the gangs you formed to protect your selves against. Just my thoughts.

You have several options, and most are going to be the wrong answer.
Depending on where you are located IE: apartment, house, trailer, tent:/ and what is around you IE: woods, lakes, farmlands, suburbs, cities. Plus escapes IE: hidden rooms, bomb shelter, caves, drainage culverts, boat docks, sewer mains, water cistern, bank vault:/ Directly taking on the system isn't going to help you , because, although you might kill a few,they will ultimately win because they have the resources and all the time they need to figure out a winning game plan, if you attempt to hide within your dwelling or in some hidden place on or around your property, they will use dogs or sensor's to detect you. you could jump in your car and attempt to drive away, but chances are that they have roadblocks set up, and you know that they will have drones with thermal or helicopters with these devices along with observers to ensure no escape could be made within a 5 mile radius, About the only other option you would have is to just commit suicide, or just allow them to concentrate you

OR

if you were smart enough? with enough pre-planing, you could create a hidden room under your house or under your basement, or shop/shed under your water cistern, under your pond, that you could retreat to, and as they were moving into position, to break in and black bag you, set your house ablaze and give them no access , no recourse , Nothing

The best they could do would be to call the fire department and wait until the fire was put out to search, and if you use the right ingredients you could produce an inferno that would keep them at bey for several city blocks, that might even give you an escape through the fire department or to even fold into their ranks, especially if you had pre knowledge of their uniforms and insignia, but the point is to create confusion and turmoil so they will quickly move along and possibly thinking that you offed yourself to keep from being detained

Even ignoring the OP's unlikely "instant police state" scenario in the opening post, such a bag is a useful thing to have for many other reasons.
Even if its not your house that catches fire or has the gas leak or the mad gunman seige or the plane crash or toxic chemical leakage... there are a large number of genuinely real reasons that you may be required to leave your home now, or not be able to return if you'd gone out.

Similarly, in a "zombie invasion" scenario, its also good to have enough supplies at home so that you dont have to go out at all.

Im not leaving my property, i have pets, I'm an epileptic so if im not there ill eventually be caught when i run out of meds and need to get them so shooting it out is the only solution unfortunately.
